EG-M31C quickly install guide
NO 1: How to install the hdd in to EG-M31C
1.1：please confirm you are ready before install the hdd:
1.1.1. Take out the hdd and the screw from the panel
1.1.2. SATA hdd *1pcs (format or non-format)
1.1.3. Screwdriver *1pcs
1.2：take out the cover from the unit,
1.3: follow the picture instruction; Plug the SATA HDD into the SATA interface. The
hole locations should match with the fixed column on the metal plate (picture 2);
Attention: During installing, pls don’t force it avoiding destroying hdd and the other
components. Finally, pay attention to the fan: it should be connected to the case too
(picture3).

1.4：FixtheHDDwith2screwsasshownbelow.
1.5: The plug of the fan must install to the appointed station, as shown the picture 3,
Close the case using the 4 screws, refer to the picture.

2.2 How to connect with device
2.2.1 Power adapter connecting (picture 1)
Warning: please use the 12V power adapter that provide by factory! If you need to
change the power adapter, please contact with the local reseller.

NO 3：Remote control definition
3.1：Key-press definition
3.1.1：power turn on/off
3.1.2：TV mode selection, work with number key to switch video output mode.

Detail is as below:
（Notice: when you have connect with computer via USB,there is no signal on the screen.）
3.1.3：Set up：
※Hot key for enter setup menu before playing;
※Display color brightness/color contrast/color HUE/color saturation during playing. If no
operation, color adjust interface will disappear automatically.
3.1.4：File mode: copy/delete/create new folder.。
3.1.5：DVD ROM eject: control DVD disk enter and out.
3.1.6：Number key，detail function is as below:
※Set up the item or edit input
※Work with TV MODE to switch video output mode.
※Under file menu, it’s a hotkey to select corresponding file.
For example, if the file number is 13,pls press 0 first (0 for +”),then press 1 and 3, file
13 will play right now.
※Percent play.
Underplayingmode,pressnumberkeytoskipforwardorskipback.Forexample,1is
for 10%,5 is for 50%,etc
3.1.7：delete key. It’s useful under edit mode.
3.1.8：return key: return to previous menu.
3.1.9：Arrows: up/down/left/right key.
※Use this button to navigate through the menu.
※During playback movie or music, you can use left/right button to fast forward
orrewind30 seconds. press enter for confirm
Up/down button can be used to select previous or next scene.

3.1.10：Info key: during playback, press this button to show all the information of
this movie: play process, file name, video format, audio format and so on.
Under file mode, you can use this button to check file size.
3.1.11：、，Under playback, use those two button to select previous or next
scene.
3.1.12:、rewind back and fast forward button, it has 2,4,8 times. Press “play”
to return playback mode.
3.1.13：there are three mode : single repeat ,repeat all, cancel repeat
3.1.14：audio track switch, use this key to switch the audio when you playing the
movie
3.1.15：Time seek key: Use this button to search by time within a media file. After
press this button, you can enter a specific amount of time (for instance
07:30:30),after which the unit will jump to that part of the movie or song.。
3.1.16：page up and volume up
3.1.17：mute
3.1.18：page down and volume down
3.1.19：use this button to enable or disable numlock or Caps lock.
3.1.20：press this button to return main menu during no playing.
3.1.21：for confirm
※confirm some setting.
※select only one file for playing, when the file is finished, it will exit playing
3.1.22：press this button to play all the movies which are in the same list. The main
difference with ”Enter” is: “enter” is for playing only one file, “play” is for all the files of
same list.
3.1.23：stop

3.1.24：pause
3.1.25：subtitle:
※If the movie has subtitle, press this key to display or cancel subtitle;
User can use up/down key to adjust color/size/location of the subtitle.
※During no playing, press this button to display local time (premise is network is in
normal use, and time zone is GMT+8 or other correspond time zone)
3.1.26：zoom：
※During playing, press this button to change screen size: actual size, standard size, full
screen.
※During viewing picture, press this button to zoom out or zoom in.
At same time, use up/down button to remove picture location, press enter button to
place it at center.
3.1.27: stand by/ restart
3.1.28: Slow: use this button to slow down the playback of a media file. Hold
down the button to increase the slow down rate by 2, 4 or 8 times
3.1.29:Home：use this button to switch to the main menu at any time. during
playback of a DVD you can use this button to repeat a section, the beginning and end of
which you can determine yourself.
3.1.30: Menu: during playback of a DVD you can use this button to switch back
to the menu of the DVD at any time.
3.1.31: title: At the moment this button does not have a function:
3.1.32: angle: when install the sound module; it can switch the internal sound to
outlay sound on the AV and Ypbpr station

※During playing back contents from HDD inside or USB device, press these hotkeys for
playing movie/music/photo/files..
※During use web server function, you can press these hotkeys for playing MOVIE,
MUSIC and PHOTO.
Notice：
1. Remote control definition will be changed along with FW upgrade.
After update FW, pls notice the extra explain list.
