special provision 188, it must be converted to 4511904 (4.0 Ah / 72 Wh)! Defective Lithium-Ion

The computer-assisted Active Battery Management System permanently monitors and controls all the safety-
related processes of the electrical components and associated hardware.This results in a whole range of

Battery charge level indicator
Press the button for the battery charge level indicator (A) briefly.The display for the battery charge level
indicator (B) first shows you the charge level in % and the current capacity in succession for 2 seconds each.

Converting the rechargeable battery
The rechargeable battery can be converted between:
- 4511904 (4.0 Ah / 72 Wh) --> low stress for the battery resulting in a total service life which is about three
times longer
- 4511905 (6.0 Ah / 108 Wh) --> long running time per battery charge
The rechargeable battery supplied with in 4511904 (4.0 Ah / 72 Wh).
These articles can be converted between each other by entering a code (9-digit chronological key
sequence).To do so, proceed as follows:
Important! Read the instructions in full before you start to convert the rechargeable battery!
1. Press the button for the battery charge level indicator (A) and hold it pressed for about 6 seconds until
the battery starts counting from 1 to 9 in the display (B).Then let go.
2. - To convert from 4511904 (4.0 Ah / 72 Wh) to 4511905 (6.0 Ah / 108 Wh), press the button (A) briefly
when the figure 6 is shown. After this, counting continues as normal up to 9. (Code: 0 0 0 0 0 1 0 0 0)
- To switch over from 4511905 (6.0 Ah / 108 Wh) to 4511904 (4.0 Ah / 72 Wh), press the button (A)
briefly when the figure 4 is shown. After this, counting continues as normal up to 9.
(Code: 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 0 0)
3. Once the sequence has counted up to 9 in the display (B), the capacity of the converted article will be
shown as “6Ah” or “4Ah” for about 2 seconds.
The rechargeable battery has now been converted.
Important! Conversion only takes place if the button (A) is pressed precisely when the digit
4 or 6 appears. This operation is necessary in order to prevent unintended conversion. After
conversion, the rechargeable battery is a different device with a different article number.The new
specifications label can be obtained by going to www.einhell.com.

Important! The charge level adjusts accordingly after conversion to 4511904 (4.0 Ah / 72 Wh) or 4511905
(6.0 Ah / 108 Wh) and may vary from that of the previous article. If, for example, the rechargeable battery in
4511904 (4.0 Ah / 72 Wh) had a charge level of 100% and it is converted to 4511905 (6.0 Ah / 108 Wh), the
charge level then will be well below 100%.You therefore need to charge up the battery before doing anything
else.
Error codes
Code Cause Remedy
F01 The rechargeable battery is too hot (e.g.
due to direct sunshine).
Keep it at room temperature (approx. 68°F (20°C)) for
one day.
F02 The rechargeable battery is too cold. Keep it at room temperature (approx. 68°F (20°C)) for
one day.
F03 The rechargeable battery is over-loaded. Remove the battery from the equipment and try again.
No change: See F01.
F04 The rechargeable battery is defective. A defective battery is not allowed to be used any more.
F05 The rechargeable battery has undergone
partial exhaustive discharge.
Recharge the battery.

SYSTÈME DE GESTION DE LA BATTERIE ACTIF
Le système de gestion de la batterie actif surveille et commande sans interruption tous les processus perti-

Indicateur de capacité de la batterie
Appuyez brièvement sur le bouton de l’indicateur de capacité de la batterie (A).L’écran de l’indicateur de ca-
pacité de la batterie (B) vous affiche d’abord le niveau de chargement en % et la capacité actuelle l’un après
l’autre pendant 2 secondes chacun.

Transformation de la batterie
Il est possible de transformer la batterie entre :
- 4511904 (4.0 Ah / 72 Wh) --> ménage la batterie, ce qui permet une durée de ser-vice totale environ 3
fois plus longue
- 4511905 (6.0 Ah / 108 Wh) --> longue autonomie par charge
La batterie fournie avec en 4511904 (4.0 Ah / 72 Wh).
Ces articles peuvent être transformés l’un dans l’autre par la saisie d’une clé (combinaison temporelle des
touches de 9 chiffres). Procédez de manière suivante :
Attention ! Lisez les instructions complètement avant de procéder à la transformation de la batte-
rie !
1. Maintenez le bouton de l’indicateur de capacité de la batterie (A) pendant 6 secondes environ jusqu’à
ce que la batterie commence à compter de 1 à 9 sur l’écran (B). Relâchez-le ensuite.
2. - Pour transformer de 4511904 (4.0 Ah / 72 Wh) en 4511905 (6.0 Ah / 108 Wh), appuyez une fois briè-
vement sur le bouton (A) lorsque le nombre 6 s’affiche. Le compte jusqu’à 9 se poursuit alors normale-
ment. (Clé : 0 0 0 0 0 1 0 0 0)
- Pour passer de 4511905 (6.0 Ah / 108 Wh) à 4511904 (4.0 Ah / 72 Wh), appuyez une fois brièvement
sur le bouton (A) lorsque le nombre 4 s’affiche. Le compte jusqu’à 9 se poursuit alors normalement.
(Clé : 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 0 0)
3. Après le compte jusqu’à 9 sur l’écran (B), la capacité de l’article transformé « 6Ah » ou « 4Ah » s’af-
fiche pendant environ 2 secondes.
La batterie est maintenant transformée.
Important ! La transformation a lieu uniquement par l’appui précis sur le bouton (A) au moment
de l’affichage du nombre 4 ou 6. Cette opération est nécessaire pour éviter la transformation acci-
dentelle. Après la transformation, la batterie devient un autre appareil avec un autre numéro d’ar-

Remarque !
Le niveau de chargement s’adapte en conséquence après la transformation en 4511904 (4.0 Ah / 72 Wh) ou
en 4511905 (6.0 Ah / 108 Wh) et peut diverger de l’article précédent. Par exemple, si la batterie avec un niveau
de chargement de 100 % en 4511904 (4.0 Ah / 72 Wh) est transformée en 4511905 (6.0 Ah / 108 Wh), son
niveau de chargement devient nettement inférieur à 100 %. Pour cette raison, chargez d’abord la batterie.
Codes d‘erreur

F03 La batterie est surchargée. Retirez la batterie de l’appareil et réessayez. Aucun chan-
gement : voir F01.
F04 La batterie est défectueuse. Une batterie défectueuse ne doit plus être utilisée.
F05 La batterie est à plat. Chargez la batterie.

¡Atención! Para poder enviar o transportar la batería de iones de litio conforme a la disposición es-
pecial alemana 188, tiene que estar convertida a 4511904 (4.0 Ah/72 Wh). Las baterías de iones de
litio defectuosas no se pueden enviar de forma normal. Para tal fin, ponerse en contacto con

ACTIVE BATTERY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
El Active Battery Management System asistido por ordenador vigila y controla ininterrumpidamente todos los
procesos relevantes para la seguridad del sistema eléctrico y del hardware correspondiente. De ello surgen
una serie de ventajas:

Indicador de capacidad de batería
Pulsar brevemente el botón para indicar la capacidad de la batería (a). El display para visualizar la capacidad
de la batería (B) muestra primero durante 2 segundos el estado de carga en % y luego durante otros 2 segun-
dos la capacidad en ese momento.

Conversión de la batería
El ajuste de la batería se puede convertir entre:
- 4511904 (4.0 Ah / 72 Wh) --> protege la batería, por lo que su vida útil total dura aprox. 3 veces más, y
- 4511905 (6.0 Ah / 108 Wh) --> autonomía más larga por cada carga
La batería se suministra con 4511904 (4.0 Ah / 72 Wh).
El ajuste de estos artículos se puede convertir entre sí introduciendo una clave (secuencia temporal de 9
dígitos).
Para ello, proceder como sigue:
¡Atención! ¡Es preciso leer íntegramente las instrucciones antes de realizar la conversión en la
batería!
1. Mantener el botón para indicar la capacidad de la batería (A) pulsado durante unos 6 segundos hasta
que la batería empiece a contar del 1 al 9 en el display (B). A continuación, soltarlo.
2. - Para convertir de 4511904 (4.0 Ah/72 Wh) a 4511905 (6.0 Ah/108 Wh), presionar brevemente una
vez el botón (A) cuando aparezca el número 6. A continuación, sigue contando normalmente hasta 9.
(Clave: 0 0 0 0 0 1 0 0 0)
- Para convertir de 4511905 (6.0 Ah/108 Wh) a 4511904 (4.0 Ah/72 Wh), presionar brevemente una
vez el botón (A) cuando aparezca el número 4. A continuación, sigue contando normalmente hasta 9.

3. Después de que se haya contado hasta 9 en el display (B), se muestra durante unos 2 segundos la
nueva capacidad del artículo „6Ah“ o „4Ah“.
La batería se ha convertido.
¡Importante! La conversión tiene lugar pulsando con precisión el botón (A) cuando aparece el nú-
mero 4 o 6. Este proceso es necesario con el fin de evitar que se produzca un cambio involuntario
del ajuste. Después de la conversión, la batería es un aparato diferente con un número de artículo

¡Advertencia!
El estado de carga se adapta en consecuencia después de la conversión a 4511904 (4.0 Ah/72 Wh) o
4511905 (6.0 Ah/108 Wh) y puede diferir del artículo anterior. Por ejemplo, si la batería en 4511904 (4.0 Ah/72
Wh) tiene un estado de carga del 100% y luego se convierte a 4511905 (6.0 Ah/108 Wh), el estado de carga
es significativamente inferior al 100%. Por lo tanto, cargar primero la batería.
