ausreichendem Sauerstoffgehalt oder in engen Räumen eingesetzt werden.

1. Allgemeine Informationen
Die folgende Informationsbroschüre wurde vom Hersteller mit Sorgfalt erstellt, um die einwandfreie Funktion
bei bestimmungsgemäßem Gebrauch sicherzustellen und Risiken durch missbräuchliche Verwendung und
unsachgemäße Nutzung zu verhindern. Für Schäden, die durch Nichtbeachtung dieser
Informationsbroschüre entstehen, haftet der Hersteller nicht.
SEKUR ist ein eingetragenes Warenzeichen. Technische Änderungen des escABEK-P3 15
Fluchtfiltergerätes sind nicht erlaubt.
1.1 Alle Personen, die dieses Gerät benutzen oder warten, müssen die Informationsbroschüre lesen, sie
verstehen sowie sich nach ihr richten.
1.2 Die in dieser Informationsbroschüre beschriebene Schutzwirkung des SEKUR escABEK-P3 15 ist nur
gewährleistet, wenn das Gerät, wie hier beschrieben, ordnungsgemäß angewandt und gewartet wird.
Benutzen Sie das Atemschutzgerät ausschließlich gemäß dieser Informationsbroschüre, den jeweils
geltenden gesetzlichen Regeln und den Sicherheitsvorschriften der Berufsgenossenschaften
insbesondere die Einsatzregeln gemäß DGUV Regeln 112-190 bzw. DIN EN 529 „Atemschutzgeräte –
Empfehlungen für Auswahl, Einsatz, Pflege und Instandhaltung – Leitfaden“.
1.3 Eine Haftung übernimmt der Hersteller im Rahmen ihrer Allgemeinen Geschäftsbedingungen.
Jegliche Haftung ist ausgeschlossen, wenn:
a) die Inspektionen nicht durchgeführt wurden;
b) die Inspektionen bzw. Wartungen von Personen durchgeführt wurden, die nicht dem Hersteller
angehören und nicht bevollmächtigt sind;
c) oder wenn das SEKUR escABEK-P3 15 nicht in der vorgesehenen Weise eingesetzt wurde.
1.4 Der Hersteller übernimmt keine Haftung für Schäden, die durch Nichtbeachtung der Bestimmungen
entstehen.
1.5 Im Übrigen gelten die Allgemeinen Geschäftsbedingungen des Herstellers. Sofern diese nicht vorliegen,
werden diese ihnen, auf Anforderung, übersandt.
Diese Informationsbroschüre informiert über den Gebrauch des Fluchtfiltergeräts SEKUR escABEK-P3 15,
dass die Atemwege vor giftigen Substanzen (Gase, Dämpfe und Stäube), die sich möglicherweise in der
Umgebungsatmosphäre befinden, schützt. Filtergeräte schützen den Anwender eine begrenzte Zeit, unter
bestimmten Nutzungsbedingungen, die in dieser Broschüre erklärt werden, gegen spezielle giftige
Substanzen. Achten sie auch insbesondere auf die korrekten Lagerbedingungen des Gerätes.
Wichtiger Hinweis: Beachten Sie die geltenden Gesetze, Normen und Bestimmungen, die im
jeweiligen Land für Atemschutzgeräte gelten.
2. Beschreibung und Einsatz
2.1 Das SEKUR escABEK-P3 ist ein Atemschutzgerät zur Selbstrettung, das die Atemwege vor
unterschiedlichen Gasen, der Klassen B, E und K der Klasse 1 schützt sowie vor Aerosole und
Dämpfe gemäß der Klasse P3.
Der Einsatztemperaturbereich liegt zwischen -10°C bis +50°C.
Sicherheitshinweis: Das Fluchtfiltergerät mit Haube SEKUR escABEK-P3 15 nur einsetzen,
wenn der Sauerstoffgehalt in der Umgebung mindestens 17 Vol.% beträgt.
Das Fluchtfiltergerät mit Haube SEKUR escABEK-P3 15 setzt sich aus folgenden Teilen zusammen:
• Mundstück, ausgestattet mit einem Nasenclip und komplett transparenter PTFE Haube
• Filter ABEK-P3 15 ist getestet für die Typen A, B, E und K gemäß dem Standard DIN 58647-7:1997 für
Fluchtfiltergeräte. Die Einsatzdauer beträgt 15 Minuten.
Zusätzlich ist das Gerät gemäß dem Standard EN 14387:2004+A1:2008 gegen die Typen B, E und K,
der Klasse 1 getestet, sowie als Partikelfilter der Klasse P3
• Versiegelter Trage- und Aufbewahrungsbox aus Kunststoff, um das Gerät mit dem Gürtelclip am Gürtel
tragen zu können. Es kann auch an der Wand befestigt werden, so dass es im Notfall jederzeit
verfügbar ist

Das Kunststoffgehäuse hat einen Metallclip, um das Gerät am Gürtel tragen zu können, oder um es an die
Wand zu montieren, so ist es stets griffbereit und eine Alternative dazu, das Gerät in der Umverpackung zu
lagern.
2.2 Das integrierte Mundstück bietet hohe Anpassungsfähigkeit an unterschiedliche Gesichtsformen an.
Mit dem festen Zubeißen auf das Mundstück des Fluchtfiltergeräts mit Haube SEKUR escABEK-P3 15
wird die Funktion des Gerätes gewährleistet. Nutzer die dazu nicht in der Lage sind wird das Einsetzen
des Gerätes nicht empfohlen.
Die korrekte Anwendung sowie das richtige Anlegen des Gerätes, kann folgenden Bildern entnommen
werden:
Bild 1:Überprüfen sie die Unversehrtheit der Aufbewahrungsbox und des Siegels, sowie die angegebene
Haltbarkeit des Gerätes. Sollte das Siegel beschädigt sein, oder die Haltbarkeit abgelaufen sein,
benutzen sie das Gerät nicht. Entfernen Sie das Klebeband, öffnen Sie das Kunststoffgehäuse und
entnehmen sie das Gerät

3. Nominale Einsatzzeit
Gemäß DIN 58647-7 und EN 14387 beträgt die nominale Einsatzdauer 15 Minuten.
4. Relevante Normen
Das Fluchtfiltergerät mit Haube SEKUR escABEK-P3 15 ist eine PSA (persönliche Schutzausrüstung)
gemäß den Bestimmungen der Verordnung (EU) 2016/425 des Europäischen Parlaments der Kategorie III
und der Norm DIN 58647-7:1997 und EN 14387:2004+A1:2008 entspricht.
Sie ist baugleich mit der PSA, die von der nachstehenden Prüfstelle der EU-Baumusterprüfung unterzogen
wurde, worüber die EU-Baumusterprüfbescheinigung ausgestellt wurde:

Die Kontrolle der Produktion gemäß ANNEX VIII (Modul D), der (EU) 2016/425 Verordnung des
Europäischen Parlaments unterliegt der Prüfstelle ITALCERT s.r.l., V.LE SARCA 336, 20126 MILANO -
ITALIA (NB id: 0426)).
Zusätzlich erfüllt das Fluchtfiltergerät mit Haube SEKUR escABEK-P3 15, bis auf die Filterkapazität und die
Entflammbarkeit der PTFE Haube, auch die Anforderungen der Norm EN 403:2004.
5. Technische Eigenschaften
Das Fluchtfiltergerät mit Haube SEKUR escABEK-P3 15 bietet Schutz gegen die in der Tabelle 1 und
Tabelle 2der Klasse 1 aufgeführten Schadstoffkonzentrationen für mindestens 15 Minuten.

6. Anmerkungen/Einschränkungen
• Das Fluchtfiltergerät mit Haube SEKUR escABEK-P3 15 kann sowohl ein Fluchtfiltergerät zur
Einmalbenutzung sein, als auch ein Atemschutzgerät mit B1E1K1 P3 NR Filter. Nach dem Gebrauch oder
nach Ablauf des Haltbarkeitsdatums, sollte es ordnungsgemäß entsorgt werden, oder an Hersteller bzw. an
ein von Hersteller autorisierten Partner zurückgeschickt werden. Nach erfolgter Anwendung sollte das
Gerät nicht mehr eingesetzt werden.
• Fluchtfiltergerät SEKUR escABEK-P3 15 sollte nicht in einer mit Sauerstoff angereicherten und
explosionsgefährdeten Umgebung angewendet werden.
• Fluchtfiltergerät SEKUR escABEK-P3 15 schütz nicht vor Kohlenmonoxid
• Fluchtfiltergerät SEKUR escABEK-P3 15 hat einen geringeren Schutzumfang gegen niedrigsiedende
organische Gase als gegen hochsiedende organische Gase
• Das Gerät muss nach 6 Jahren einer ersten Wartung unterzogen werden. Bei ordnungsgemäßer Wartung,
durch den Hersteller, oder durch eine autorisierte Stelle, kann das Verfallsdatum auf 12 Jahre verlängert
werden.
• Der Schutz gegen hochgiftige Stoffe ist limitiert. Die entsprechende Konzentration und die
Mindesthaltezeiten von Schadstoffen finden sie in den obenstehenden Tabellen. Je nach
Gefährdungsbeurteilung kann der Schutz des SEKUR escABEK-P3 15 unzureichend sein. In diesem Fall
sind Isoliergeräte einzusetzen.
• Die in der Tabelle angegebenen Mindesthaltezeiten sind Richtwerte. Je nach individuellen
Voraussetzungen und tatsächlichen Gegebenheiten, sind die jeweiligen Einsatzbedingungen in der
Gefährdungsbeurteilung festzusetzen.
• Nutzer, die den Umgang mit Atemschutzgeräten nicht gewohnt sind oder unter psychischer Anspannung
stehen, können, auch bei normaler Funktion des Geräts, eine gewisse Atemerschwernis empfinden.
• Das Gerät ist während seiner Lagerung vor extremer Hitze, Kälte oder Feuchtigkeit, sowie vor Strahlung
und korrodierenden Chemikalien zu schützen. Es ist zwischen 0°C bis + 50°C bei einer relativen
Luftfeuchtigkeit <80% zu lagern. Abweichende Lagerbedingungen können die Haltbarkeit beeinflussen.
• Bei beschriebenen Lagerbedingungen und mit einem Austausch des Filters nach 6 Jahren beträgt die
Haltbarkeitsdauer 12 Jahre.
• Sprechen während der Benutzung ist aus Gründen der Dichtheit untersagt.
• Benutzen Sie das Fluchtfiltergerät mit Haube SEKUR escABEK-P3 15 ausschließlich gemäß dieser
Informationsbroschüre.

7. Nach dem Gebrauch
Das Fluchtfiltergerät mit Haube SEKUR escABEK-P3 15 ist für den einmaligen Gebrauch bestimmt.
Das Gerät gilt als Sondermüll und ist entsprechend den jeweils geltenden örtlichen
Abfallbeseitigungsvorschriften zu entsorgen.

The filtering device with hood for escape SEKUR escABEK-P3 15 must not be used in environments
with insufficient oxygen content or in confined spaces.

1. General information
This information brochure has been carefully prepared by manufacturer to ensure proper functioning when
used as intended and to prevent risks due to misuse and improper use. Manufacturer shall not be liable for

SEKUR is a registered trademark. Technical modifications of the SEKUR escABEK-P3 15 escape filtering
device are not allowed.
1.1 Before using SEKUR escABEK-P3 15, users must ensure that all instructions in this manual are read,
understood and followed.
1.2 The protective effect of the SEKUR escABEK-P3 15 described in this information brochure is only
guaranteed if the device is used and maintained properly as described here. Use the SEKUR escABEK-
P3 15 with this information brochure, the relevant valid statutory regulations and the safety requirements
of the profession associations, particularly the regulations for use in accordance with DGUV Rule 112-
190 resp. DIN EN 529 ‘Respiratory protective devices – recommendation for selection, use, care and
maintenance – guidelines’.
1.3 Manufacturer assumes liability within the framework of the General Terms and Conditions.
Any liability is ruled out if:
a) inspections which has not been carried out;
b) inspections and maintenance improperly carried out by persons other than those qualified to do so by
manufacturer;
c) improper usage of the SEKUR escABEK-P3 15.

This information brochure provides information on the use of SEKUR escABEK-P3 15 escape filtering device,
helping to prevent risks to the respiratory tracts due to the exposure to toxic substances (gases, vapours and
dusts) eventually present in the surrounding atmosphere. Filtering devices are devices subject to limited time
duration of protection and provide protection against specific toxic substances in specific conditions of use
explained in the present information brochure. Pay also special attention to the correct storage conditions of
the device.

2. Description and intended use
2.1 The SEKUR escABEK-P3 15 is an escape filtering device assuring protection of the respiratory tract
also against gasses in class 1 for B, E and K type, and against aerosol and vapours according to P3
class.
The range of temperatures of use is from -10°C to +50°C.
Safety Warning: Use the filtering device with hood for escape SEKUR escABEK-P3 15 only,
if the oxygen concentration in the atmosphere is at least 17% in volume.
The filtering device with hood for escape SEKUR escABEK-P3 15 is made up of the following
components:
• Mouthpiece equipped with nose clip and PTFE hood completely transparent
• Filter is tested for A, B, E and K types according to the Standard DIN 58647-7:1997 for filtering escape
devices.
It is classified as class 15 minutes. In addition, it is tested according to Standard
EN 14387:2004+A1:2008 against B, E and K gas types in class 1, and particle filter as class P3

• Synthetic resin sealed container for the device to be carried on the belt. It can also be hung on the wall
ready for use in case of emergency
The device case is equipped with a metallic hook to belt-carry or hang on the wall SEKUR escABEK-P3 15,
ready for use, as an alternative to storing the device in its box.
2.2 The integrated mouthpiece offers high adaptability to different face shapes.
The functionality of the filtering device with hood for escape SEKUR escABEK-P3 15 is firmly connected
to the user capability to maintain stable the mouthpiece in the mouth, therefore, the use is not
recommended for those who do not have such skills.
To properly use and donning of the device, perform the following operations:

respirator from the packaging after removing the adhesive tape on the packaging

3. Nominal operating time
According to DIN 58647-7 and EN 14387, the nominal operating time is 15 minutes.
4. Relevant Standards
The Filtering device with hood for escape SEKUR escABEK-P3 15 is PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
belonging to the III category according to the provisions of the Regulation (EU) 2016/425 of the European
Parliament for PPE and they conform to the requirements specified in the DIN 58647-7:1997 and EN
14387:2004+A1:2008 Norm.
Testing according to the relevant Norms, certification and authorisation to CE marking have been performed

A control on production in accordance with the procedure foreseen in ANNEX VIII (Module D) of the
Regulation (EU) 2016/425 is carried out by (Italcert - Viale Sarca, 336 - 20126 Milano - Italien (NB id: 0426)).
In addition, except for filtering capacity and for flammability of the PTFE hood, Filtering device with hood for
escape SEKUR escABEK-P3 15 meet also requirements of the Standard EN 403:2004.
5. Technical characteristics
The Filtering device with hood for escape SEKUR escABEK-P3 15 provides protection against the pollutant
concentrations listed in Table 1 and Table 2 of Class 1 for at least 15 minutes.

6. Notes/Restrictions
• The Filtering device with hood for escape SEKUR escABEK-P3 15 could be a single use self rescue
respirator, or a personal protective device for breathing apparatus with filter in B1E1K1 P3 NR class. After
possible use or after the expiry date it should be properly disposed off or sent to manufacturer or to other
authorized center for the reconditioning. It should not used as it is for subsequent uses.
• SEKUR escABEK-P3 15 should be used without oxygen enriched atmospheres or potentially explosive
atmospheres.
• SEKUR escABEK-P3 15 does not protect against carbon monoxide
• SEKUR escABEK-P3 15 gives a lower level of protection against low-boiling organic vapours than against
high-boiling organic vapours
• The expiry date of the device is after 6 years for the first maintenance. If properly maintained by the
manufacturer or by an authorized center, the expiry date can be extended to 12 years.
• The protection against high concentrations of toxic substances is limited. The protection assured by the
devices is reported in the above tables both for concentration and for time duration. If the risk analysis
identifies more dangerous conditions, the protection offered by SEKUR escABEK-P3 15 is insufficient. In
that case the use of a self-contained breathing apparatus is needed.
• The actual protection duration as indicated in the above table refers to given concentrations of toxic
substances and to a medium respiratory strain. The risk analysis must also verify if the protection duration
is compatible with the time needed by the user to reach a safe area where breathable air is available.
• Users, who are not trained to use respiratory protective devices or in particular emotional states, may feel a
higher respiratory resistance which is not sign of any malfunction of the device.
• The device must be stored in a cool, dry place, protected from heat and corrosive substance. The storage
conditions are the following: temperature from 0°C to + 50°C, humidity <80%. Conditions other than those
specified could affect the expiry date of the device.
• Under these conditions the shelf life of the device is 12 years, with filter substitution after 6 years.
• The presence of mouthpiece prohibits speaking during use.
• Use the SEKUR escABEK-P3 15 exclusively in accordance with this information brochure.

7. After use
The Filtering device with hood for escape SEKUR escABEK-P3 15 may only be used once.
The SEKUR escABEK-P3 15 is hazardous waste and must be disposed according to local legislation.
