I Introduction
ETCR6000 AC/DC ClampLeaker isspeciallydesigned formeasurementofAC/DCcurrent; by
adoptingup-to-dateCTtechnologyand digitalintegration technology. The small clampissuitableforline
denselyplaces(electricpowermeasurementsystem,the highspeed rail system,carcircuitoverhaul,
and soon), non-contact measurement, toensuresafeoperation. It isaproduct withrelativelysmallsize,
highaccuracy andperfectfunction compared withsimilarleakersinthe world.The leakercouldbe
widelyapplied inthosefieldsaselectricity,communications,meteorology,railroad,oilfield,construction,
measurement, scientific&researchteachinginstitutes,industrialandminingestablishments.itisan
essentialtoolforelectrician safetytesting.
ETCR6000 AC/DC ClampLeaker alsonamed: DC LeakageCurrentClampMeter, Car DC

Operating Method
1. Start-up, Shutdown
SwitchpowerkeytoDC orACgeartostart upthe tester, LCD will begintodisplay;andswitch
the powerkeytoOFF gear,theleakerwill shutdown.Afterstartingupfor5minutes,LCD will flick
notesthattheleakerwillshutdownautomatically;afterflickering for30s,itwillshutdownformally
toreducebatteryconsumption. Incaseyou havepressed HOLD keywhen LCD wasflickering, the
leakerwillcontinuetoworkfor5minutes.Ifthe testerpoweroffautomatically,the gearshouldfirstly
beswitched toOFF forpoweron next time.
2. Calibration
When measuring,first chooseACorDC gear, adjust ZERO keytoreducethe
residualmagnetismtozero, andthenconduct measurement. Rationalusage
ofthisadjust zerofunction will makethe resultsmoreaccurate.Forexample,
afterboot, beforemeasurement, wecan takethe jawclosetothe DC current
wire(showingasrightfigure), LCD will showan inductivecurrent (becauseof
externalelectricfieldinterference).Adjust ZERO keytocalibrate, whichdeduct
the inductivevalue.Aftermeasuringbigcurrent, calibration isverynecessary
tocleartheresidualmagnetism.

5)Read LCD displaydata.Incase OLA symbolwasdisplayed,it meansthatcurrentofmeasured
line isbeyondthemaximumlimitofthisleaker;withthiscase,pleasechooseleakerwithmuch
higherrangelimit.

4. Hold, Storage,Access Reading and Deleting
1）Pressing HOLD keyforashorttimeinthecourseof measurement(less than3seconds), DH
symbolwill display,the leakerwillholdcurrentmeasuringdataand automaticallystored inthe
memorywithacode;press HOLD keyagaintoreleasetheholdstate,andtheleakercontinues
itsmeasuring;incasestored datareached to60 groups,press HOLD keyagain,the FULL”
symbolwilldisplay,whichmeansstoragememoryisfull;press HOLD keytocancelFULL”
flickeringand returntomeasuringmode.
2）Longpress HOLD keytoenterintodataaccess mode and displayUnit1storagedata
automatically; and thenpress HOLD keyagaintoturnthepageofstored data;nullwill display
when thereisno datainstoredinthememory, poweroffthe metertoexit dataaccess mode.
3）Afterenteringintodataaccess mode,press HOLD keyformorethan 3secondswill clean upall
stored data;when the leakerdisplaying dEL”symbol,itmeansthatithasfinished cleanup
process, and thenreturntomeasuringstateautomatically.
5. DataUpload
Makegood connectionofcomputerandthetesterwithRS232communication wire, switchon the
testerandrun monitoringsoftware.Ifthe connectionissuccessful,then itcanread the stored historical
data, upload tocompany, preserveand print.
