und deren daran angeschlossenen externen

Werkzeuge Tools
Das AM300 Verstärkermodul ist mit einem
Kunststoffgehäuse versehen und in einem da-
für konstruierten schützenden Karton verpackt.
Beschädigen Sie die Verpackung nicht und be-
wahren Sie diese für die spätere Verwendung
im Schadensfalle auf. Kontrollieren Sie bei
Erhalt des Verstärkermoduls, dass: Die Verpa-
ckung intakt ist, der Inhalt den Spezikationen
entspricht und das Produkt keine Beschädi-
gung aufweist. Bei Fehlen oder Beschädigung
von Teilen setzen Sie sich bitte sofort mit Ihrem
Händler in Verbindung. Geben Sie hierbei so-
wohl das Modell als auch die Seriennummer
des Verstärkermoduls an.

damage the packing and store it for future use
in the case of possible damage. Upon receipt

HINWEIS: Wir empfehlen Kabel mit einem
Querschnitt von mindestens 7 AWG (ca.10
mm²) für die Strom- (B+) und Masse-An-
schlüsse.

Vorsichtsmaßregeln Precations – Read rst
Achtung! Entfernen Sie vor dem Einbau den
negativen Batteriepol, um Schäden am Gerät,
Feuer bzw. mögliche Verletzungen zu vermei-
den. Dies ist nicht bei allen Fahrzeugen pro-
blemlos möglich. Bitte informieren Sie sich in
IhrerFachwerkstattoderndenSieHinweise
in der Fahrzeugbetriebsanleitung.
Hinweis: Die Installation und die Einstellung
des Verstärkers sollte nur von qualiziertem
Personal vorgenommen werden. Lesen Sie
die Bedienungsanleitung sorgfältig und folgen
Sie den darin gegebenen Hinweisen zum An-
schluss und zur Einstellung des Subwoofers.
Warnung! Bevor Sie externe Geräte anschlie-
ßen, die nicht zur Verstärkereinheit gehören,
sollten Sie die entsprechenden Hinweise in der
Bedienungsanleitung dieses Gerätes beachten.
Warnung! Im Falle eines Defektes versuchen
Sie nicht das Verstärkermodul selbst zu reparie-
ren. Wenden Sie sich bei Bedarf ausschließlich
an Ihren ETON Fachhändler der den techni-
schen Kundendienst informieren wird. Jede un-
befugte Änderung bedeutet das Erlöschen des
Garantieanspruchs.
Warnung! Das Verstärkermodul ist für den
Einbau in ein dafür vorgesehenes Subwoofer
Gehäuse, wie den ETON RES 10 P konzipiert.
Wird das Modul in ein anderes Subwooferge-
häuse, z. B. ein Eigenbau-Gehäuse eingebaut,
muss das sich im Lieferumfang bendliche
Kunststoffgehäuse verwendet werden. Die
Luftdichtigkeit zum Subwoofer hin ist mit Dicht-
band / Dichtstoffen herzustellen, welche nicht
die Funktion / Kühlung des Verstärkermoduls
beeinussen. Das Modul darf uneingebaut,
nicht ohne das mitgelieferte Kunststoffgehäuse,
welches auch als Berührungsschutz dient in Be-
trieb genommen werden. Konzipiert ist das Mo-
dul für eine Stromversorgung von +12 Volt DC
(Gleichspannung). Die Umgebungstemperatur
kann zwischen 0° C und 60° C sein.
Caution! Before installation, disconnect the
battery negative (-) terminal to prevent da-
mage to the unit, re and/or possible injury.
This is not possible in every modern vehicle.
Please ask your carmaker or see your owners
handbook regarding battery change.
Note: The installation and adjustment of the
Subwoofer should only be entrusted to quali-
edpersonnel.Pleasecarefullyreadtheope-
ration instructions and follow the given direc-
tionsregardingconnectionandadjustmentof
the subwoofer.

refer to the corresponding directions contained
in the operation instructions for this device.
Warning! Under no circumstances should you
open the amplier module or attempt any re-
pairs. If required contact your dealer to obtain
technical assistance. Unauthorized changes will
result in the cancellation of warranty.
Warning!Theampliermodulewasdeveloped
for installation in suitable subwoofers like the
ETON RES 10 P. If the module is installed in
other subwoofer housings, like a home-build
do-it-yourself subwoofer, the plastic enclosure
of the amplier has to be used. The sealing /
airtightness to the subwoofer should be done
by using suitable materials / sealants, which do
notinuencethecoolingorthefunctionsofthe
amplier module. The amplier module has to
be used with the included plastic enclosure, if
it is not build in, therefore the enclosure works
asacontactprotection!Theampliermoduleis
designed for a power consumption of +12 Volts
DC. The ambient temperature could be bet-
ween 0°C and 60°C degrees.

Vor dem Einbau Before Installation
Dieser Abschnitt konzentriert sich auf Erwä-
gungen hinsichtlich des dafür vorgesehenen
Einbaus Ihres neuen Verstärkermoduls in ein
Subwoofergehäuse.
Wenn Sie das Modul in ein nicht dafür vor-
gesehenes und freigegebenes Subwooferge-
häuse von ETON einbauen möchten, prüfen
Sie zuvor ob die Platzverhältnisse ausrei-
chend sind und Ihr Subwooferchassis die
technischen Vorraussetzungen für den Be-
trieb mit dem AM300 Modul aufweist.
Vor dem Einbau des Verstärkermoduls prüfen
Sie bitte folgende Punkte:
1. Lesen Sie die Anleitung sorgfältig, bevor
Sie versuchen das Gerät einzubauen.
2. Prüfen Sie bei einem Fremdprodukt / Ei-
genbaugehäuse, wo Sie das Verstärkermo-
dul platzieren können. Sie müssen dafür eine
Montageöffnung mit geeigneten Mitteln her-
stellen, die Öffnung sollte mit ausreichender
EinbautiefeundplanerAuageächesein.

Whenyoudecidetoputtheampliermodule
in an not approved subwoofer housing from
ETON, you have to check the space for instal-
lion,aswellasthetechnicalspecicationsof
thesubwooferchassis.Comparethe speci-
cations of the AM300 module with your sub-
woofer chassis, if it could be used together.
Before beginning any installation, follow
these simple rules:
1. Be sure to carefully read and understand
the instructions before attempting to install
the unit.
2. Proof the space and installation position of
theampliermoduleifyouaregoingtoinstall
the module in a third-party-product or in a do-
it-yourself subwoofer housing. You have to
prepare an installation opening into your sub-
woofer enclosure by using suitable tools. The
opening should have enough space in depth
and a plane contact area.

1. Entfernen Sie die 6 Befestigungsschrauben
der Anschlussterminal-Montageplatte des
RES 10P.
2. Lösen Sie das angelötete Lautsprecherka-
bel vom Terminal, durch Ablöten oder durch
Abschneiden.
3. Nehmen Sie das Plastik-Schutzgehäuse
des AM 300 Moduls ab.
4. Verbinden Sie die Lautsprecheranschluss-
leitung des Subwoofers mit dem AM300
Modul, durch geeignete Maßnahmen, z. B.
Löten und anschließendes Isolieren. Sie kön-
nen alternativ die beiliegenden Quetsch- und
Schraubverbinder verwenden. Achten Sie da-
bei auf die richtige Polung beim Verbinden!
4. Connect the loudspeaker cable of the sub-
woofer to the AM300 module, by using suita-
ble actions, like soldering and skinning. You
can also use the included crimp connectors
for connecting the cables with each other.
Please take care of the right polarity!
3. Remove the plastic protection enclosure of
the AM 300 module.

1. Remove the 6 screws of the conecting pa-
nel of the ETON RES 10 P.
2. Remove the soldered speaker cable from
the terminal, by soldering out or cutting the
cable.

5. Setzen Sie das AM300 Modul in das RES
10 Gehäuse ein. Achten Sie darauf, dass
Sie die Lautsprecherleitungen nicht einquet-
schen!
1. Überprüfen Sie die Einbauverhälnisse an
Ihrem selbstgebauten Subwoofer. Das AM300
Modul benötigt einen geeigneten Einbauplatz,
der eine optimale Anschlusskabelführung ge-
währleistet und genügend Tiefe und einen
planen Einbau ermöglicht! Bitte beachten Sie
ebenfalls die Lage und Position im Fahrzeug.
2. Erstellen Sie eine geeignete Öffnung in Ihrem
Subwoofer um das AM300 Modul zu montieren.
Bitte beachten Sie, dass das Modul mit der
mitgelieferten Kunststoffabdeckung mon-
tiert werden muss! Tragen Sie Sorge, dass es
luftdicht montiert werden kann. Das Austrittsloch
des Lautsprecheranschlusskabels sollte Luft-
dicht mit geeigneter Dichtmasse verschlossen
werden. Ebenso verwenden Sie Dichtband um
das Gehäuse Luftdicht mit dem Subwoofer zu
verschrauben!EswirdeineplaneAuageäche
benötigt. Überprüfen Sie alles, bevor sie bohren
und sägen!
3. Schließen Sie das Modul an, siehe S. 6 Punkt
4 & 5 und verschrauben dieses fest mit den mit-
gelieferten Schrauben. Überprüfen Sie alles, vor
der Verkabelung!
1. Check the installation possibilities in your
do-it-yourself subwoofer enclosure. The
AM300 module needs a suitable place for the
wiring with enough space, depth and a plan
contact area . Please take care of the position
of the subwoofer in your car.
2. Cut a suitable hole in your subwoofer enclo-
sure for the installation of the AM300 module.
Take care that the plastic housing of the
AM300 module has to be used! Check that
everything can be sealed and the enclosure of
the AM300 is air tight. The hole of the speaker
cable at the back of the plastic housing has
to be sealed by using sealant. Use sealant
around the whole enclosure, before mounting
it to the subwoofer! You have to take care, that
theAM300moduletsplantothesubwoofer.
Check everything before drilling and cutting!
3. Connect the AM300 module, note page 6
point 4 & 5, bolt everything tight with the inclu-
ded screws. Have a look at everything before
wiring the subwoofer.
6. Verschrauben Sie das Modul mit den Be-
festigungsschrauben die Sie zuvor vom An-
schlussterminal gelöst hatten.
5. Fit the AM300 module into the RES 10 en-
closure. Take care that the speaker cables do
not get squeezed!
6. Use the removed screws from the passive
panel and tighten the active AM300 module
with those.

WithcontrolviatheHigh-LevelInputs,rstthe
speaker harness will need to be spliced the
wire side of the splitter. Then connect the whi-
te wire to the left [+],white/black wire to the left
[-], grey to the right [+],and grey/black to the
right[-]correspondingvehiclewires,andnal-
ly plug the supplied harness into the High-Le-
vel Inputs/power matching connector on the
amplierpanelofthesubwoofer.
Bei Anschluss über den High-Level Eingang,
sollte zuerst der Adapterkabelsatz mit dem
Audiosignal führenden Kabel des Fahrzeu-
ges verbunden werden: Dazu schließen Sie
das weiße Kabel am linken Pluskanal(+) an,
das weiß/schwarze Kabel am linken Minu-
skanal(-). Schließen Sie das graue Kabel
am rechten Pluskanal(+) an und das grau/
schwarze Kabel am rechten Minuskanal(-).
Danach schließen Sie den fertig angeklemm-
ten Adapterkabelsatz am High-Level Eingang/
Strom Eingang der Verstärkereinheit des Sub-
woofers an.

With control via the Low-Level Inputs (also
referred to as RCA Inputs), connect the blue
color remote wire from the RES 10 to the ve-
hicle`s head unit so RES 10 will be turn on
and off with systems.
Zum Anschluss des RES 10 über die Cinch
(RCA) Anschlüsse, verbinden Sie das blaue Re-
motekabel mit der Radioeinheit Ihres Fahrzeu-
ges und schließen Sie die Cinchkabel an. Über
die Remoteleitung wird der Subwoofer aktiviert.
