INSTALLATION BEFORE FIRST TIME USE
Before first me use charge the baery to the full capacity (see chapter Using the Baery). The first process
of charging may take a longer me due to balancing the voltage in the individual cells. Please do not
disconnect the baery before the indicaon LED lights green.
INSTALLATION OF THE BRACKET BATTERY IN THE FRAME
1) Find a suitable place for installaon:
The baery is usually installed into the holes for a drink holder. These holes have a distance 65 mm (it applies
for the most of bikes sold today). However, these holes are on a different locaon on each frame. Therefore,
first place the whole baery into the bike frame and think of a suitable locaon; always keep in mind that
the baery needs to be easily inserted and removed from the bike frame (the distance between the frame and
the baery edges should be lower than 20 mm from the bike frame, fig. 1).
2) Drill the installaon hole:
Dismantle the baery bracket that is fastened with screws TORX (fig. 2). Subsequently apply the span of the
screws onto a suitable place of the bracket. Always try to use the holes already made. In most cases only one
hole will need to be done (fig. 3 and 4).

CONTROL
Aer geng the measures drill the hole with
a suitable drill. M5 screws are mostly used for
fastening so use drill with 5 mm in diameter. Clean
the drilled hole and heed all safety precauons for
such work (fig. 5). Thus adapted bracket fasten to the
bike frame with a long enough screw that should
reach along the all length of thread in the bike frame.
These screws are not provided (fig. 6). Subsequently
fasten the plasc bracket including the contacts
of the baery, making sure the rubber cable bushing
is properly seated. Now reinstall all the parts of the
bracket and ghten the TORX screws (fig. 7).
Connect the baery cable to the motor control unit, making sure you get the polarity right.

1. Switching ON and OFF:
To acvate the baery (ON) press buon and hold it
unl the green charge status indicator LEDs (LED 1 and 2)
flash several mes alternately.
To disable the baery (OFF) press buon and hold it
unl the (green and red) charge status indicator LEDs
(LED 3 and 4) flash several mes alternately.
Between switching the baery on and offit is necessary
to wait at least 30 seconds to provide for a protecon
interval. Whether the baery is on / offcan be found by
a short press of buon. If the indicaon LEDs are on
and show the charge status the baery is on. If the LED is
not on the baery is off.

2. Finding out the charge status:
In order to find out the approximate charge status of the baery shortly press buon. The respecve
number of LEDs light on based on the current status of discharge. The number of LEDs that are on shows the
status of discharge. In case that only LED 4 is on it is necessary to charge the baery.
3. Removing and inserng the baery into the bracket:
In order to unlock the baery lock, turn the key counterclockwise. In the unlocked posion it is not possible to
take the key out. You will lock by turning clockwise, thus prevenng from ejecng the baery from the bracket
(in this posion it is possible to take the key out). During the ride and manipulaon with the bike always
remove the key in order to prevent from losing it or breaking it in the lock.
Upon ejecng the baery from the bracket please proceed in the following way. In the unlocked posion grasp
the baery on its sides by both hands and by pressing forward – towards the controls move the baery forward
for about 10 mm. Now the baery is released and it is possible to move it away from the bracket by pulling. Use
reverse procedure to insert the baery back to the bracket.
WARNING: During any ride the baery must always be locked and the key must be away of the lock.

ERROR MESSAGES
Thanks to an intelligent circuit controlled by a microprocessor (so-called BMS) the baery can record many
values and based on them evaluate different risks. In case there is a risk of damaging the cells based on crical
operaon values (high temperature, extremely high current) the baery is blocked for further use. In most
cases it is fine to leave the baery outside of the bracket and when the values are acceptable again the baery
unblocks itself for further operaon. Typically it is an overheated baery due to direct sunshine or
overcharging cells in the process of recuperaon of braking energy to a fully charged baery.
While considering the above if it is sll not possible to switch the baery on and normally use, please check
the following messages using the status LEDs.

Defecve charger or BMS module of the baery. Please try to replace the charger. If charging
the baery is sll impossible, contact a service.
Deeply discharged baery due to an improper maintenance by the user. It is necessary to store
the baery charged to at least 75% of its capacity. Deep discharge may cause enre damage to
the baery cells. Switch the baery off(the red and green LEDs flash). Connect the charger and leave
it connected for at least 3 hours. If charging does not start and the problem persist, contact an
authorized service for diagnoscs and repair.
One or more cells are defecve. Switch the baery off(the red and green LEDs flash). Connect

Weak or defecve cells. Excessive load of the baery – short circuit protecon. If in the course
of 15 minutes BMS records more than 8 mes disconnecon due to overloading, then BMS reports
an error. Please check the connecon of the baery and the cable of any breakage. Furthermore,
check the system sengs whether the recuperaon (regeneraon of the braking energy) is not
acve and disable it if needed.

USING THE BATTERY
1. Proper charging:
Lithium cells SAMSUNG SDI that are used in EVBIKE baeries can be charged in any status of discharge and
these baeries do not have any memory effect. That is why we recommend always charging the baery aer
a ride or in the course of a longer break so that you can enjoy a full power and long reach. When the charging
is completed, always disconnect the baery from the charger. Charge the baery only in a room temperature
(25 °C). Use solely the charger supplied with the baery and make sure that it is not confused with another
charger. Never use a charger with damaged case or supply cable – risk of electric shock. Do not charge where
the temperature is below freezing point and on the contrary baeries on excessive sunshine.
The charging status is shown by the LED on the charger:
• Red – process of charging.
• Zelené světlo – nabíjení dokončeno (nabíječka je automacky odpojena od baterie)
The duraon of charging is 5 - 7 hours depending on the status of discharge of the baery and its capacity.
2. Proper discharging:
Charge the baery to the full capacity aer the first disconnecon by protecon of the control unit. Never try
to use the baery again aer it is disconnected by the protecon. You will not only get any further but some
of the cells may be deeply discharged, leading to their irreversible damage. Such a behavior results also
in "misbalancing" of voltage in the individual cells, resulng in a lower capacity of the baery. In extreme cases
it will not be possible to recharge the baery. Such damage can be easily diagnosed and faults resulng from
such a behavior are excluded from warranty.
3. Storage:
If you do not use your bike for over an hour, the baery enters sleep mode. It is not necessary to switch
the baery offin everyday use. It is only necessary to recharge it. If you are not going to use your bike
for longer than 48 hours always take the baery out, recharge it and store on a dry and safe place at room
temperature. Be careful to avoid shorng the terminals (contacts) of the baery when storing or manipulang
with it. For a long-term storage, for example due to offseason (anyme the baery is not to be used for at least
7 days), it is necessary to switch the baery off(see chapter Control) and every 30 days check the baery
(using the indicaon LEDs). If there is a decrease of energy, recharge to 75% of capacity. Recharging to 75%
means that on the charge status indicator LEDs 4, 3, 2 are on and LED 1 flashes. Now is the me to disconnect
the baery from the charger. Do this control charging every month. If you store a discharged baery, there is
a risk of deep discharge of cells and their irreversible damage and such a fault is excluded from warranty.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE END CONSUMER
1. Warranty:
The warranty for quality relates to any manufacture defects that the baery provably demonstrated already
at the me of delivery and to the nominal baery capacity at the me of the delivery. The warranty relates
to normal operaon funconality within the specificaons given by the producer. The guaranteed nominal
capacity of the baery is achieved by discharging by the recommended discharge current based on the type
of the baery and temperature of 25°C. The warranty does not include any drops of cell capacity within
the tolerance given by the producer in the form of the number of charging and discharging cycles.
The warranty applies neither to any defects resulng from some mechanical damage, use outside
the permied range of the discharge and charge current and voltage, unintenonal short circuit, unintenonal
discharge, i.e. when the baery is leover 14 days without any control, nor to any damage caused by leakage
of liquids nor by using it or storing in a humid environment. One of the condions for granng any warranty is
keeping all recommendaons menoned in this manual. The duraon of warranty is stated on the delivery
note of the reseller.

The baery can be used only by a person who has been properly instructed about using the lithium cells and
baeries. This instrucon must be provided by the last seller. In case of a distant sale, this instrucon is done by
aaching a manual. Further informaon regarding using the baery can be found on the website of the reseller.

Danger of short circuit and subsequent fire.
Both charged and discharged cells contain a large amount of electric energy that may cause electric sparks
or electric arc if the contacts are shorted. The red-hot contacts may ignite other flammable materials.
Danger of injury by direct current.
If there are a larger number of cells connected as a series, there is a higher danger of injury by direct
current. Never ever touch the electric wires or other components with voltage.
The danger of chemicals.
Lithium cells and baeries do not contain any corrosives or acids. Sll they contain chemicals that may
affect human organism. That is why it is necessary to keep in mind the following principles when
manipulang with the cells and baeries:
Protect from unqualified manipulaon.
Avoid polarity mismatch, heed the signs when inserng. Reverse inseron of the baery may result in short
circuit or charging.
Avoid short circuit. Short circuit results from connecng posive (+) and negave (-) terminals of the baery.
Prior to installaon clean the pole terminals of both the baery and the device.
Avoid excessive heang – operate the baery only at a temperature based on the concrete specificaon.
Do not weld or solder the cells.
Do not dismantle. If uncovered, the contact with the individual parts of the baery may be harmful.

Eye protecon: protect your eyes with glasses to prevent any chemicals from geng to your eyes.
Skin protecon: use protecve clothing and gloves. Prevent your skin from any contact with the chemicals.
Protecon against inspiraon: work with the baeries only in a well venlated place. In a closed
environment it is necessary to provide forced venlaon.

5. Recycling the baeries and cells - mandatory informaon required by law

for the end user, the producer publishes a current list of take-back and separated collecon locaons with
at least a name of the place and its address.

Do not deform. The baeries should not be pressed, pierced etc.
Do not dispose of in fire.
Do not expose to water or excessive humidity
Do not keep within the reach of children. Especially baeries that could be swallowed need to be kept out
of their reach. Also children must not be allowed to replace the baeries without the supervision of an adult.
Do not encase or do any other modificaons. Encasement or any other modificaon to the baery may cause
blockage of the safety venlaon mechanism. Any modificaons need to be consulted with the reseller.
Baeries that are not used need to be stored charged and kept out of reach of any metal subjects that could
cause short circuit. The pieces that are already unpacked should not be mixed and stored together.
Avoid extreme humidity (over 95%). High temperature or humidity may impair the characteriscs
of the baery and/or the corrosion of its surface.
Do not store / expose the baery to the direct sunshine, places exposed to rain, excessive heat, in proximity
of radiators or water heaters.
Store the baeries in a well venlated and dry environment, ideally enclosed in a protecve package.
When storing, keep the temperature within the range specified for the specific cell
Do not mix it with some other materials.
Do not stack the cardboard boxes with the baeries. Stacking could lead to deformaon of the baeries
in the lower layers and subsequent electrolyte leakage.
For any further transport / manipulaon choose such a packaging material and method of packing that would
prevent from creang an unintenonal electric contact and corrosion of the terminals, assuring protecon
from the elements and any mechanical damage.
Manipulate with the boxes considerately. Coarse manipulaon may cause short circuit or damage.
Keep a proper circulaon of supplies, keep the FIFO system.
Store the baeries charged and take a measure of their voltage every 2 months. If the value is near its
minimum, recharge the baery.
Operate the baeries under supervision or under a constant monitoring by a protecon and control system.
Avoid overcharging and total discharging.
