INSTALLATION BEFORE FIRST TIME USE
Before first me use charge the baery to the full capacity (see chapter Using the Baery). The first process
of charging may take a longer me due to balancing the voltage in the individual cells. Please do not
disconnect the baery before the indicaon LED lights green.
INSTALLATION OF THE BRACKET BATTERY IN THE FRAME
1) Find a suitable place for installaon:
The baery is usually installed into the holes for a drink holder. These holes have a distance 65 mm (it applies
for the most of bikes sold today). However, these holes are on a different locaon on each frame. Therefore,
first place the whole baery into the bike frame and think of a suitable locaon; always keep in mind that
the baery needs to be easily inserted and removed from the bike frame (the distance between the frame and
the baery edges should be lower than 20 mm from the bike frame, fig. 1).
2) Drill the installaon hole:
Dismantle the baery bracket that is fastened with screws TORX (fig. 2). Subsequently apply the span of the
screws onto a suitable place of the bracket. Always try to use the holes already made. In most cases only one
hole will need to be done (fig. 3 and 4).

CONTROL
Aer geng the measures drill the hole with
a suitable drill. M5 screws are mostly used for
fastening so use drill with 5 mm in diameter. Clean
the drilled hole and heed all safety precauons for
such work (fig. 5). Thus adapted bracket fasten to the
bike frame with a long enough screw that should
reach along the all length of thread in the bike frame.
These screws are not provided (fig. 6). Subsequently
fasten the plasc bracket including the contacts
of the baery, making sure the rubber cable bushing
is properly seated. Now reinstall all the parts of the
bracket and ghten the TORX screws (fig. 7).
Connect the baery cable to the motor control unit, making sure you get the polarity right.

1. Switching ON and OFF:
To acvate the baery (ON) press buon and hold it
unl the green charge status indicator LEDs (LED 1 and 2)
flash several mes alternately.
To disable the baery (OFF) press buon and hold it
unl the (green and red) charge status indicator LEDs
(LED 3 and 4) flash several mes alternately.
Between switching the baery on and offit is necessary
to wait at least 30 seconds to provide for a protecon
interval. Whether the baery is on / offcan be found by
a short press of buon. If the indicaon LEDs are on
and show the charge status the baery is on. If the LED is
not on the baery is off.

2. Finding out the charge status:
In order to find out the approximate charge status of the baery shortly press buon. The respecve
number of LEDs light on based on the current status of discharge. The number of LEDs that are on shows the
status of discharge. In case that only LED 4 is on it is necessary to charge the baery.
3. Removing and inserng the baery into the bracket:
In order to unlock the baery lock, turn the key counterclockwise. In the unlocked posion it is not possible to
take the key out. You will lock by turning clockwise, thus prevenng from ejecng the baery from the bracket
(in this posion it is possible to take the key out). During the ride and manipulaon with the bike always
remove the key in order to prevent from losing it or breaking it in the lock.
Upon ejecng the baery from the bracket please proceed in the following way. In the unlocked posion grasp
the baery on its sides by both hands and by pressing forward – towards the controls move the baery forward
for about 10 mm. Now the baery is released and it is possible to move it away from the bracket by pulling. Use
reverse procedure to insert the baery back to the bracket.
WARNING: During any ride the baery must always be locked and the key must be away of the lock.

ERROR MESSAGES
Thanks to an intelligent circuit controlled by a microprocessor (so-called BMS) the baery can record many
values and based on them evaluate different risks. In case there is a risk of damaging the cells based on crical
operaon values (high temperature, extremely high current) the baery is blocked for further use. In most
cases it is fine to leave the baery outside of the bracket and when the values are acceptable again the baery
unblocks itself for further operaon. Typically it is an overheated baery due to direct sunshine or
overcharging cells in the process of recuperaon of braking energy to a fully charged baery.
While considering the above if it is sll not possible to switch the baery on and normally use, please check
the following messages using the status LEDs.

Defecve charger or BMS module of the baery. Please try to replace the charger. If charging
the baery is sll impossible, contact a service.
Deeply discharged baery due to an improper maintenance by the user. It is necessary to store
the baery charged to at least 75% of its capacity. Deep discharge may cause enre damage to
the baery cells. Switch the baery off(the red and green LEDs flash). Connect the charger and leave
it connected for at least 3 hours. If charging does not start and the problem persist, contact an
authorized service for diagnoscs and repair.
One or more cells are defecve. Switch the baery off(the red and green LEDs flash). Connect

Weak or defecve cells. Excessive load of the baery – short circuit protecon. If in the course
of 15 minutes BMS records more than 8 mes disconnecon due to overloading, then BMS reports
an error. Please check the connecon of the baery and the cable of any breakage. Furthermore,
check the system sengs whether the recuperaon (regeneraon of the braking energy) is not
acve and disable it if needed.

USING THE BATTERY
1. Proper charging:
Lithium cells SAMSUNG SDI that are used in EVBIKE baeries can be charged in any status of discharge and
these baeries do not have any memory effect. That is why we recommend always charging the baery aer
a ride or in the course of a longer break so that you can enjoy a full power and long reach. When the charging
is completed, always disconnect the baery from the charger. Charge the baery only in a room temperature
(25 °C). Use solely the charger supplied with the baery and make sure that it is not confused with another
charger. Never use a charger with damaged case or supply cable – risk of electric shock. Do not charge where
the temperature is below freezing point and on the contrary baeries on excessive sunshine.
The charging status is shown by the LED on the charger:
• Red – process of charging.
• Zelené světlo – nabíjení dokončeno (nabíječka je automacky odpojena od baterie)
The duraon of charging is 5 - 7 hours depending on the status of discharge of the baery and its capacity.
2. Proper discharging:
Charge the baery to the full capacity aer the first disconnecon by protecon of the control unit. Never try
to use the baery again aer it is disconnected by the protecon. You will not only get any further but some
of the cells may be deeply discharged, leading to their irreversible damage. Such a behavior results also
in "misbalancing" of voltage in the individual cells, resulng in a lower capacity of the baery. In extreme cases
it will not be possible to recharge the baery. Such damage can be easily diagnosed and faults resulng from
such a behavior are excluded from warranty.
3. Storage:
If you do not use your bike for over an hour, the baery enters sleep mode. It is not necessary to switch
the baery offin everyday use. It is only necessary to recharge it. If you are not going to use your bike
for longer than 48 hours always take the baery out, recharge it and store on a dry and safe place at room
temperature. Be careful to avoid shorng the terminals (contacts) of the baery when storing or manipulang
with it. For a long-term storage, for example due to offseason (anyme the baery is not to be used for at least
7 days), it is necessary to switch the baery off(see chapter Control) and every 30 days check the baery
(using the indicaon LEDs). If there is a decrease of energy, recharge to 75% of capacity. Recharging to 75%
means that on the charge status indicator LEDs 4, 3, 2 are on and LED 1 flashes. Now is the me to disconnect
the baery from the charger. Do this control charging every month. If you store a discharged baery, there is
a risk of deep discharge of cells and their irreversible damage and such a fault is excluded from warranty.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE END CONSUMER
1. Warranty:
The warranty for quality relates to any manufacture defects that the baery provably demonstrated already
at the me of delivery and to the nominal baery capacity at the me of the delivery. The warranty relates
to normal operaon funconality within the specificaons given by the producer. The guaranteed nominal
capacity of the baery is achieved by discharging by the recommended discharge current based on the type
of the baery and temperature of 25°C. The warranty does not include any drops of cell capacity within
the tolerance given by the producer in the form of the number of charging and discharging cycles.
The warranty applies neither to any defects resulng from some mechanical damage, use outside
the permied range of the discharge and charge current and voltage, unintenonal short circuit, unintenonal
discharge, i.e. when the baery is leover 14 days without any control, nor to any damage caused by leakage
of liquids nor by using it or storing in a humid environment. One of the condions for granng any warranty is
keeping all recommendaons menoned in this manual. The duraon of warranty is stated on the delivery
note of the reseller.

The baery can be used only by a person who has been properly instructed about using the lithium cells and
baeries. This instrucon must be provided by the last seller. In case of a distant sale, this instrucon is done by
aaching a manual. Further informaon regarding using the baery can be found on the website of the reseller.

Danger of short circuit and subsequent fire.
Both charged and discharged cells contain a large amount of electric energy that may cause electric sparks
or electric arc if the contacts are shorted. The red-hot contacts may ignite other flammable materials.
Danger of injury by direct current.
If there are a larger number of cells connected as a series, there is a higher danger of injury by direct
current. Never ever touch the electric wires or other components with voltage.
The danger of chemicals.
Lithium cells and baeries do not contain any corrosives or acids. Sll they contain chemicals that may
affect human organism. That is why it is necessary to keep in mind the following principles when
manipulang with the cells and baeries:
Protect from unqualified manipulaon.
Avoid polarity mismatch, heed the signs when inserng. Reverse inseron of the baery may result in short
circuit or charging.
Avoid short circuit. Short circuit results from connecng posive (+) and negave (-) terminals of the baery.
Prior to installaon clean the pole terminals of both the baery and the device.
Avoid excessive heang – operate the baery only at a temperature based on the concrete specificaon.
Do not weld or solder the cells.
Do not dismantle. If uncovered, the contact with the individual parts of the baery may be harmful.

Eye protecon: protect your eyes with glasses to prevent any chemicals from geng to your eyes.
Skin protecon: use protecve clothing and gloves. Prevent your skin from any contact with the chemicals.
Protecon against inspiraon: work with the baeries only in a well venlated place. In a closed
environment it is necessary to provide forced venlaon.

5. Recycling the baeries and cells - mandatory informaon required by law

at least a name of the place and its address.

Do not deform. The baeries should not be pressed, pierced etc.
Do not dispose of in fire.
Do not expose to water or excessive humidity
Do not keep within the reach of children. Especially baeries that could be swallowed need to be kept out
of their reach. Also children must not be allowed to replace the baeries without the supervision of an adult.
Do not encase or do any other modificaons. Encasement or any other modificaon to the baery may cause
blockage of the safety venlaon mechanism. Any modificaons need to be consulted with the reseller.
Baeries that are not used need to be stored charged and kept out of reach of any metal subjects that could
cause short circuit. The pieces that are already unpacked should not be mixed and stored together.
Avoid extreme humidity (over 95%). High temperature or humidity may impair the characteriscs
of the baery and/or the corrosion of its surface.
Do not store / expose the baery to the direct sunshine, places exposed to rain, excessive heat, in proximity
of radiators or water heaters.
Store the baeries in a well venlated and dry environment, ideally enclosed in a protecve package.
When storing, keep the temperature within the range specified for the specific cell
Do not mix it with some other materials.
Do not stack the cardboard boxes with the baeries. Stacking could lead to deformaon of the baeries
in the lower layers and subsequent electrolyte leakage.
For any further transport / manipulaon choose such a packaging material and method of packing that would
prevent from creang an unintenonal electric contact and corrosion of the terminals, assuring protecon
from the elements and any mechanical damage.
Manipulate with the boxes considerately. Coarse manipulaon may cause short circuit or damage.
Keep a proper circulaon of supplies, keep the FIFO system.
Store the baeries charged and take a measure of their voltage every 2 months. If the value is near its
minimum, recharge the baery.
Operate the baeries under supervision or under a constant monitoring by a protecon and control system.
Avoid overcharging and total discharging.
