Everactive® NC-1000M is a professio al Ni-MH/Ni-Cd
battery charger, discharger a d a alyzer. Four operati g

2. Intended use.
This product is i te ded to charge a d discharge Ni-
MH a d Ni-Cd rechargeable batteries of AA (R6) a d AAA
(R03) sizes.
It is equipped with four i depe de t chargi g slots. It
uses highly optimized chargi g process with -∆V full charge
termi atio method for maximum battery performa ce.
Refresh mode ca restore battery's full capacity a d
mi imize memory a d "lazy battery" effects.
NC 1000M is able to charge batteries of differe t types,
sizes a d capacities at the same time. Charge a d
discharge curre ts are fully adjustable for each cell. At the
e d of charge process batteries are switched to trickle
charge mode to mai tai their full charge state.
Usi g the “everActive” rechargeable batteries is
recomme ded.
This product is i co formity with all

4. Safety Inst uctions.
1. Read the i structio s before usi g this charger.
2. This charger is i te ded for use with Ni-MH a d Ni-Cd
rechargeable batteries o ly. Attempti g to charge other
types of batteries may cause perso al i jury, damage to
the charger or lead to a fire.
3. The mai s socket outlet must be close to the equipme t
a d easily accessible.
4. The charger is i te ded for i door use o ly. Exposure to
a y liquids or moisture ca cause damage to the charger
a d batteries. Do ot allow foreig objects to e ter the
charger. This could result i electrical shock or fire.
5. Disco ect the charger a d its power adapter from the
power socket whe ot i use.
6. Never use a exte sio cord or a y attachme t ot
recomme ded by the ma ufacturer.
7. Do ot operate the charger if it has bee subjected to
shock or damage. Take it to a qualified servicema for
repair.
8. Do ot attempt to disassemble the charger or its power
adapters as it may result i a risk of electric shock or fire.
9. U plug the charger from the power supply before
attempti g a y clea i g. Use o ly a soft damp cloth. Do
ot use water, deterge ts or alcohol.

5. Powe supply.
Power adapter is ot supplied withi a sta dard set.
This charger should be used with certified USB 5V DC, mi .
2.0A power adapters o ly. We recomme d usi g
everActive SC series of adapters (like SC-200). Whe the
charger is powered o , LCD display tur s ON with all the
symbols visible. Affter 2s the charger will perform a self-
test a d if there are o batteries i serted the “ ull” label
should appear.
6. Basic ope ation.
O ce rechargeable battery is i serted, its voltage level
a d default operati g mode will be show o the LCD
display. If ot i terrupted by “Mode” a d “Curre t”
butto s withi 8 seco ds the charger will automatically
start the default charge process with 0.50A curre t. Duri g
the first 8 seco ds operatio mode ca be cha ged for all
ewly i stalled batteries simulta eously by pressi g the
“Mode” butto . Similarly pressi g the “Curre t” butto
will cha ge the electric curre t for all of the ewly
i serted batteries. These cha ges ca be also made
i dividually for each chargi g slot by selecti g “Slot”
before pressi g “Mode” or “Curre t” butto s.
Defective or overdischarged batteries (“0” voltage)
batteries will show a “ERR” label o the LCD a d due to
safety reaso s o further operatio will be possible. If the

i serted cell’s voltage is above 0.20V, the charger will
detect the battery a d allow further operatio .
Mode selection.
Short pressi g “Mode” butto withi first 8 seco ds
activates operatio mode cha ge for all ewly i stalled
batteries. By pressi g the “Slot” butto the user ca select
i dividual battery to adjust the operatio mode.
After the operatio has started the operatio mode ca
still be altered for i dividual batteries usi g the “Slot”
butto a d afterwards by holdi g “Mode” butto for
about 3s. Available operatio modes: “Charge”,
“Discharge”, “Test”, “Cycle”.
For 8 seco ds after selecti g the desired operatio mode
the user ca adjust chargi g/dischargi g curre t by
pressi g the “Curre t” butto .
Cha ging cu ent selection.
For the first 8 seco ds after the batteries are i serted the
user ca adjust the chargi g curre t for all of the batteries
by pressi g the “Curre t” butto . By pressi g the “Slot”
butto the user ca select i dividual battery to adjust the
curre t. Possible values are: 0.25A, 0.50A, 0.75A a d
1.00A. Chargi g will start automatically after 8 seco ds
from the mome t last butto was pressed.

If further cha ges are eeded, user ca select desired
chargi g slot (“Slot” butto ) a d cha ge mode/curre t
a ytime by holdi g “Mode” followed by “Curre t” butto .
Please ote that the recomme ded chargi g curre t
should be set to a mi imum of 1/4 value i relatio to
i serted battery’s rated capacity. For example for the
2000mAh R6/AA batteries the recomme ded chargi g
curre t is 500mA (0.50A) or higher. For the 800mAh
R03/AAA batteries the recomme ded chargi g curre t is
200mA (0.20A) or higher. The default chargi g curre t of
500 mA will be suitable for most of the R6 AA/R03 AAA
batteries.
Full charge termi atio method -∆V is much less reliable
with lower tha recomme ded chargi g curre ts.
7. Ope ation modes.
Cha ge mode – i serted batteries will be charged
automatically with the (pre)selected chargi g curre t.
Each battery slot is i dividually co trolled. The default
chargi g curre t is 0.50A. I charge mode available values
are: 0.25A/0.50A/0.75A a d 1A for each battery slot. After
the chargi g is complete the LCD will show the charge
capacity (this is ot the same as cell’s rated capacity),
operatio time, voltage, a d END i dicatio .
Discha ge mode – ca be used to reduce a d mi imize

memory effect a d lazy battery effect. Such cell will be
discharged to level of 0.9V. Please ote that the cell stays
discharged after completi g this process. Further actio
will be eeded to charge the cell.
Ca be also used to discharge (test) primary (i.e. alkali e)
batteries. Please ote that you should ot try to recharge
primary, o -rechargeable batteries.
Each battery slot is i dividually co trolled. The default
dischargi g curre t is 0.25A. I discharge mode available
values are: 0.25A/0.50A for each battery slot. After the
dischargi g is complete the LCD will show the discharge
capacity (for a bra d ew, fully charged cell, this should be
close to the ma ufacturer’s rated capacity), operatio
time, voltage, a d END i dicatio .
This adva ced fu ctio ca be also used i.e. to test the self
discharge rate of the cells.
Cycle mode – a special combi atio of several charge a d
discharge cycles. The charger tries to maximize the
capacity of older cells, which were ot used for a
exte ded period of time. Ca be used to i itialize/form
ew batteries a d check their real capacity or to reduce
the memory / lazy battery effect. Please take ote that
this process ca take eve few days to complete. At the
e d of the process maximum cell capacity (from the
discharge stage) ca be read from LCD display.

Please ote that the discharge curre t is set automatically
depe di g o selected charge curre t:
0.25A discharge curre t is applied whe 0.25A or 0.50A
charge curre t is selected,
0.50A discharge curre t is applied whe 0.75A or 1A
charge curre t is selected.
Test mode – ca be used to test rated capacity of i serted
batteries. This is a si gle charge->discharge->charge cycle.
At the e d of the process measured cell capacity (from
the discharge stage) ca be read from LCD display. This
should be close to the battery’s rated capacity declared by
the ma ufacturer.
Please take ote that ew rechargeables may eed few
charge/discharge cycles to reach their maximum capacity.
Batteries with much lower results tha declared should
ot be used. For the best results a d performa ce it is
recomme ded to use the “everActive” rechargeables.
Please ote that the discharge curre t is set automatically
depe di g o selected charge curre t – 0.25A discharge
curre t is applied whe 0.25A or 0.50A charge curre t is
selected or 0.50A discharge curre t is applied whe 0.75A
or 1A charge curre t is selected.

9. Wa anty.
Baltrade will repair or replace your charger free of
charge if it is prove to be defective withi two years from
the date of purchase. Baltrade shall ot be held liable for
a y damage caused by misuse or ot usi g the product i
accorda ce with this ma ual. Warra ty will be i valid if
the charger was modified i a y way, disassembled,
exposed to moisture, liquids, i gressio of solid objects,
extreme thermal or e viro me tal co ditio s, rapid
cha ges i such co ditio s that result i damage to the
charger's electro ics.
If the charger was prove to be defective, it will be
repaired or replaced. I the eve t of a warra ty claim,

Ladu g der Akkus. Der Erfrischu gs-Modus bri gt die volle
Akkukapazität wieder u d mi imiert de Memory-Effekt,
so wie de „Lazy-Battery” Effekt. Das Ladegerät NC 1000M
ka Akkus gleichzeitig u terschiedliche Type u d

aufladbare Ni-MH u d Ni-Cd Akkus zu arbeite . Der
Versuch, a dere Arte vo Akkus oder Batterie zu lade ,

3. Die Netzsteckdose muss sich i der Nähe des Geräts

5. Netzteil.
Der Netzadapter wird icht i ei em Sta dardset geliefert.
Dieses Ladegerät sollte ur mit zertifizierte USB 5V DC,
mi . 2,0A Netzadapter be utzt werde . Wir empfehle
die Verwe du g vo Adapter der everActive SC-Serie
(wie SC-200). We das Ladegerät ei geschaltet wird,
schaltet sich das LCD-Display mit alle sichtbare
Symbole ei . Nach 2s führt das Ladegerät ei e Selbsttest
durch, u d we kei e Akkus ei gelegt si d, sollte die
A zeige " ull" erschei e .
