BEFOREUSING THESCALE
Thank youforpurchasing an EXCELLOCEANWaterproofWeighing Scale. In
order tousethescaleproperly, pleaseread this UserManual carefullybefore use.
If youhaveaproblemconcerningthescale,pleasecontactyoursupplier.
1. Please keep scalein a cooland dry place. Donot store at high temperatures.
2. Do not allowany liquids to come into orcontact with the scale.If itis happened, wipe the
scaledry with a cloth.
3. Avoid objects impacting withthe scale. Do notdrop loads onto the scale orsubject the
weigh pan to any strong shockloads.
4. The loadplaced on theweigh pan must not exceed the maximumweighing capacity of
the scale.
5. If the scaleisnot going to be used forsome time, please clean itand storeitina plastic
bag in dryconditions. Adesiccant sachet may be included to prevent moisture build up.
PREPARING TO USE THE SCALE
1. Foraccurateweight readingslocate the scaleon a firmlevelsurface free fromvibrations.
2. Avoid operating the scale in direct sunlight ordrafts of any kind.
3. Remove any weight that might be on the weigh pan before the scaleis switched on and
avoid leaving weight on the panforlong periods of time.
4. Once the scale has been switched on, it willgo through a LCD display test and then
re-zero to be ready foruse.
5. The scalerequires 15~20 minutes warming up the machine beforeoperation toensure
best accuracy.
6. Please note when symbolappears on the screen, the dry batteries need to be
replaced orthe recharge the battery.
7. All goods weighed should be placedin the centre of the weighpan foraccurate weighing.
The overalldimensions ofthe goods being weighed should not exceed the dimension of
the weigh pan.

3-1Explanation of Keyboard
1. :The key to switch the scale off.
2. : ON/ZERO key.When the scaleis off, press the key toswitch it on. When
the scaleis switched on, withthe weigh pan empty, if the display is not showing zero,
press this keyto zero (balance)the scale.
vZerorange: ±2%of fullscale(Standard, OIML &NTEPmodels), ±4%of fullscale(Sri
Lanka model).
3. :TAREkey. Press the key to deduct the weight ofthe container.
vThe tare key is notfunctionalwhen the weightvalue shown on the display is negative or
overthe fullscale capacity.
4. : Units key.Pressthe key to select the desired weight units orcount units
(pcs).
5. : Gross weight / Net weight key.
The gross weight = Tare weight + Net weight
(The key is ONLYfunctionalinthe Tare mode)

3-2BasicFunction Operation
3-2-1Switching the scaleon / Re-zeroing
1. Whenthe scaleisoff, press key to turn the scale on.
2. Whenthe scaleison and withoutany object placed on the weigh pan, press key
to obtain a zeroreading. ””the 2nd indicationshows in the lefthand side of the display.
3-2-2The desired unitsselection
Press the key to select gram(g), ounce(oz)orpcs, ”►” the indication willshowin
the right hand side of the display.Afterpoweroff, the scalewillmemorise theactive units. When
the scaleis powered on again, it displaysthe previous active units.
3-2-3The weightvalue ofthe containerdeduction
1. Place the containeron the weighpan. Afterstable, press key to deduct the weight
value of the container.
2. Place the object in the container, the scale will showthe net weight value of the object.
3. Remove the containerandweighing object, and the display shows the negative weight
value of the container. Press key to clearthe weight value of the container,
and ”◄” the first indication goes off.
vTare continuously (Press key, when weight is added ordeducted on the weigh
pan).
vTare value = The fullcapacity (The scale can be tarred continuously to the fullcapacity).
3-2-4Net/ gross weightvalue cross-display
1. In the tare mode, the display shows ”◄” the 1st indication on the lefthand side. Press
key to showthe gross weight value, and ”◄” the indication goes off.
2. Press key again, the display shows the net weight value and ”◄” the1st indication
shows again.
3. The key is ONLYfunctionalin the taremode.

1. Press key to select piece unit (pcs), and enterthe counting mode.
2. Press key to select the counting samplesize 10, 20,50, 100, or200, and the
displayshows , , , , or
3. Place the samples on the weigh pan, then press .The display shows “”.
After theweight isstable,thescaleshows thequantityofthesamples. Afterthe sampling
process is complete, put the goods on the weigh pan and the screen shows the quantity of
the goods.
vThe scale memorizes theselected samplequantity,afterturningoff thescale.The scalewill show
thesame selected samplequantity, when entering the countingmode next time.
vIf thequantity of the items weighed largerthan 65536(pcs), thedisplay shows theerrormessage

Auto Backlight Function
Whenthe weight is over10d, the backlight ison. Afterthe weight is stable for10seconds or
when the scale returns tozero,the backlight switches off.
