deScriPtion
The Extron YCS SW2 A is a two input, dual output video and audio switcher with transcoding
capabilities. Using a high-quality, three-line digital comb filter, the YCS SW2 A accepts
NTSC 3.58, NTSC 4.43, PAL, or SECAM composite video and decodes the signal into S-video.
As an encoder, it is able to combine luma and chroma signals and output a composite video
image. Enhanced video processing stabilizes and improves display output from input sources
such as consumer VCRs, worn or multi-generation VHS tapes, and other devices with unstable
sync signals. An integrated audio switcher provides a discrete audio input for each video source,
which can expand the audio input capabilities of many low-cost video projectors.
Ideal for conference rooms, classrooms, and video conferencing applications, the YCS SW2 A
is equipped with autoswitching capabilities, which eases use by automatically selecting the
active input. In addition, simultaneous composite video and S-video outputs allow for the ability
to record and distribute video to the display at the same time. The YCS SW2 A is housed in a
compact enclosure and includes tactile, front panel switch buttons for manual input switching,
as well as contact closure remote control.
