User’s guide

This comb delivers an electrical current just strong enough to kill fleas, yet without bothering the animal.
The negative ions and active oxygen are released at both ends of the comb. They quickly penetrate into
the animal's fur to eliminate foul smells.
The negative ions are also able to dissipate the electrostatic phenomenon on your pet's fur, which in turn
leaves a shinier coat.
Precautions prior to use:
• Designed to be used solely on a perfectly dry coat, the comb is very sensitive to humidity.
• It is recommended to use the comb before giving your pet a bath.
• Never use this flea comb device on another animal without disinfecting it first.
• Stop using the comb if its teeth are deformed, as this might cause the device to short-circuit.
• Avoid all direct contact with comb teeth whenever the comb is turned on.
• Return the protective cover to its place following use or cleaning in order to protect comb teeth.

• Runs with 2 "AA LR06" batteries (not included).
Maintenance
Disinfect the device and comb teeth after each use with a cloth soaked in 70% alcohol (be sure to turn the
device off during cleaning and wait to make sure it is completely dry before the next use).
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THIS PRODUCT.
1. Hold the handle and open the battery compartment, insert the two "AA" batteries (see Figure 1),
then put the comb back together.

2. Press the ON / OFF button on the side of the handle; you'll hear a buzz indicating that the comb is
working correctly and ready for use.
You have the option of using the device like a regular comb by leaving the "electronic comb"
function turned off.
3. Keep a 45° angle between the comb and your pet's fur (see Figure 2 below) and avoid touching
your pet's eyes, ears or chops. The black rubber-coated fixtures on the teeth ends must be
positioned on the lower side of the fur. Move the comb slowly through the coat, preferably one zone
at a time, for a more efficient result. The brushing direction may be bottom to top or top to bottom,
but be sure to maintain the 45° angle at all times.

Fleas typically begin to infest your cat or dog on the backside before working their way down the
back onto the abdomen, at which point they spread over the animal's entire body.
4. When a flea is detected, the buzz stops temporarily. It will only resume once the comb has been
cleaned with a small cleaning brush included with the device (Figure 3).

To maximize the efficiency of this device and extend its battery life, limit each period of operation to 5-10
minutes.
Reminder: To avoid receiving an electrical shock, do not hold the comb on both sides (see Figure 4).

A. Troubleshooting
Should your product stop working or develop a fault, first read this user’s guide over, then check the
batteries and replace them if necessary and retry. Also check that you are using the product correctly.
WARRANTY

If you omit one of these items, the After Sales Service will have to invoice you for any repair costs
incurred.
B. Warranty
NUM’AXES guarantees the products against all manufacturing defects for two years after purchase. All
postage and packing charges will be the purchaser’s sole responsibility.
C. Warranty conditions
1. The warranty will be effective only with a proof of purchase (invoice or sales receipt).
The warranty is exclusive to the original purchaser.
2. This warranty does not cover the following:
 changing the battery,
 direct or indirect problems incurred when sending the product back to the distributor or to
NUM’AXES,
 damage to the product caused by:
negligence or incorrect use (ex: bites, breakage, cracking),
misuse from not following directions
repairs performed by unauthorized persons.
 loss or theft.
3. If the product is found to be defective, NUM’AXES will either decide to repair or to replace it.
4. No claim may be made against NUM’AXES, particularly in relation to incorrect use or breakdown.
5. NUM’AXES reserves the right to modify the characteristics of its products with a view to making
technical improvements or to complying with new regulations.
6. The information contained in this guide may be subject to amendment without prior notice.
