1. GENERAL INFOR ATION
This manual describes the features and use of the Wireless Fencing apparatus WF1.
It is composed of:
•two TRANS ITTERs: the are the devices that should be connected to the bod cords of the
fencers and inserted in the pockets of their pants. Each device contains the hit detector and the
radio transmitter for communicating with the RECEIVER apparatus;
•one RECEIVER: this is the receiving apparatus that signals hits b wa of LEDs.

1.1. ain features
•Wireless apparatus for signalling hits in fencing, suitable for epee and foil training.
•Read for immediate use. Ideal for g ms or schools which are not equipped for fencing because no
installation/uninstallation of reels, cables, apparatuses and power suppl devices is necessar .
•Used with customar fencing clothing and equipment. No special clothing, connective t-shirts or
other conductive garments necessar .
•Operates with rechargeable batteries.
•Radio transmission at 2.4GHz. Simultaneous operation of 12 piste without interference.
Not suitable for competitions since not all features of a traditional wire apparatus can
be guaranteed. See chapters 4.2 and 5.3.
Read the manual carefull before use, in particular the safet warnings in chapter 10.
2. USING THE WF1
(1) Charge the batteries for the RECEIVER and TRANSMITTERs, as described in ch. 6.
(2) Turn on the RECEIVER b pressing the ON/OFF button for 1 second: a red LED and a green LED
will flash for 3 seconds, indicating the selected piste and weapon respectivel . The “BATTERY LEVEL”
LED will then flash, indicating the batter level, as described in ch. 6.1.
(3) Turn on each TRANSMITTER b pressing the P1 button. If the TRANSMITTERs have been
memorized a vertical line of LED will light up on the RECEIVER and the L1 LED will flash on the
TRANSMITTER. B pressing the tip of the weapon the flashing will increase in speed.
(4) When installing for the first time, select the number of piste as indicated in ch. 3.1.
(5) Select the t pe of weapon as indicated in ch. 3.2.
(6) Connect the TRANSMITTERs to the bod cords and place them in the back pocket of pants.
(7) To use with the EPEE see ch.4.
(8) To use with the FOIL see ch. 5. Remember to execute the calibration, see ch. 5.2
(9) Verif the correct feature b hitting a valid target and an invalid one.
(10) After using, turn off the RECEIVER b pressing the ON/OFF button (the RECEIVER will,
nevertheless, automaticall turn off after 20 minutes of inactivit ). The TRANSMITTERs will
automaticall turn off after 20 minutes of inactivit .
(11) Return the TRANSMITTERs to their proper places in the carr ing case b using the metal clip.
(12) Remember to recharge the apparatuses at least ever 4 months if the are not used.
Check that the weapon, bod cord, and conductive jacket work perfectl before using!
If equipment is not in working order, it could cause incorrect functioning.

3. PROGRA ING
3.1. Selecting a piste
I PORTANT: this operation should be carried out only if more than one WF1 apparatus is to
be used in the same room.
Onl if more than one WF1 is used in the same room is it necessar to
establish a different piste number for each apparatus in order to avoid radio
interference. The piste number in use can be displa ed b pressing the
PISTE button: one of the red LEDs from 01 to 12 will light up for 3 seconds
depending on the piste selected (see Fig. 2).
NOTE:
As factory default setting, the RECEIVER and the TRANSMITTERs are
progra ed on piste 01.
If the piste e orized in the TRANSMITTER is not the sa e as the one
progra ed in the RECEIVER, the latter will not receive or display hits.
To modif the piste number proceed as follows:
(1) On the RECEIVER press the PISTE
button for circa 2 seconds until the red
LED indicative of the piste number begins
to flash. Then press the PISTE button
more than once to select the desired
piste. See Fig. 2.
(2) For the TRANSMITTER associated
with the colour red, simultaneousl press
the P1 button on the TRANSMITTER and
the SET RED button on the RECEIVER
for at least 2 seconds. When all red LEDs
of the RECEIVER light up it is an indication that the programming has been effectuated. See Fig. 3.
(3) For the TRANSMITTER associated with the colour green, execute the same procedure described in
point (2), using the SET GREEN button.
3.2. Selecting a weapon
(1) Programme the desired weapon b pressing the WEAPON button more
than once, until the green LED of the desired weapon lights up. See Fig. 4.
There are 5 operation modes to choose from:
- "Epee"
- "Foil"
- "Epee training": to signal a rapid succession of hits on the epee
- "Epee plastic": for plastic epees with electrical connection
- "Foil plastic": for plastic foils with electrical connection
(2) Press the P1 button on each TRANSMITTER in order to update the
selected weapon via the RECEIVER: if all the LEDs on the RECEIVER light
up, the programming has occurred correctl .
NOTE:
The features of the various weapons are described in detail in chapters 4 and 5. If the weapon
progra ed in the RECEIVER is different fro that e orized in a TRANSMITTER, a flashing X will
appear on the RECEIVER when the first hit occurs.

4. EPEE
4.1. EPEE specifications
Opening time of tip contact: 4ms, according to FIE specifications.
Double hit time: 45ms +/-5ms, according to FIE specifications.
Automatic rearmament: after 2 seconds.
Hit signalling mode: see ch. 4.2.
4.2. Notes on signalling hits for EPEE
•A hit is signalled b the lighting for 2 seconds of all red or green LEDs according to the fencer who
effectuated the hit.
•A hit to clothing and to shoes will be signalled. A hit ma not be signalled on clothing that is damp
with perspiration.
•A hit to the piste will not be signalled. Certain t pes of epee1, however, ma signal a hit to the piste if
the tip of the epee was placed on the piste and then afterwards was pressed on the same.
•Hits to a varnished mask (insulated) of an opponent will be signalled. If a hit is made to a conductive
part of the mask (unvarnished) the hit ma not be signalled.
•A hit to one's own varnished mask (insulated) will be signalled. If, however, a hit is made to a
conductive part of one's own mask (unvarnished), the hit ma not be signalled.
•A hit to the skin of an opponent will not be signalled.
•A hit to one's own skin ma not be signalled. Therefore, in order to check that the tip functions, do
not press it on our hand but rather on an insulated surface (for example, on our shoe).
•A hit to the guard will not be signalled. However, a hit to the guard ma be signalled as valid in the
following situations:
–when both fencers are jumping at the same time;
–when bod cords are not worn properl . Beginning at the weapon, the bod cord should run up the
arm, touching the skin, and then pass over the undershirt to arrive at the base of the back;
–with certain t pes of epee1, when the tip is first placed against the guard and then subsequentl
pressed against it.
4.3. EPEE TRAINING Specifications, for signalling hits in rapid succession on the epee
As for EPEE, except with signalling times and automatic rearmament equal to 0.1 seconds. Useful for
signalling hits in rapid succession in epee training.
4.4. EPEE PLASTIC Specifications, for plastic epee with electrical connection
As for EPEE, except that each hit is signalled even if the piste or the guard is hit.
This operation mode can also be used with normal metallic epee when fencers have perspired a
great deal and when one notices numerous failures in signalling hits on the damp areas. In this
operation mode all hits are signalled, including those to the guard and to the piste.

5. FOIL
5.1. FOIL Specifications
Opening time of tip contact: 14ms, according to FIE regulations.
Double hit time: 300ms +/-25ms, according to FIE regulations.
Automatic rearmament: after 2 seconds.
Hit signalling mode: see ch. 5.3.
5.2. FOIL Calibration
Before starting foil training/matches, the calibration procedure for each
TRANS ITTER must be effectuated.
If the TRANSMITTER is not calibrated, the RECEIVER will signal a flashing “C” at
ever hit.
Effectuate the calibration b following the indications below for fencer position (see Fig.
5):
•upright/standing position
•arm extended forwards
•tight grip on the weapon
•hit the opponent's jacket 3 times in rapid succession: a fixed “C” will light up and
be displa ed on the RECEIVER if calibration took place correctl .
The fencer opponent must remain in an erect position, while their weapon should not
touch the piste or the jacket and their free hand should also not touch the jacket or the
weapon.

With the calibration procedure, the TRANSMITTER measures the characteristics of the fencer, of the
bod cord, of the jacket and of the weapon.
If conditions should change (for example: change of fencer, change of weapon,
profuse sweating, etc..), the calibration will need to be repeated.
Each time the TRANSMITTER is turned on the calibration procedure must be carried
out again.
If an incorrect functioning is noted, repeat the calibration procedure pa ing close
attention to the position of the fencers (see Fig. 5).
5.3. Note on displaying/signalling hits for FOIL
•A VALID hit is signalled b the lighting for 2 seconds of all red or green LEDs according to the fencer
who effectuated the hit.
•An INVALID hit is signalled b the flashing of a single line of 4 LEDs.
•A hit to the conductive jacket is signalled as VALID. If it is signalled as INVALID:
–make sure that the part of the jacket hit is not insulated or heavil oxidized.
–Execute the calibration procedure again (see ch. 5.2) of the fencer who made the hit.
•A hit to non conductive garments will be signalled as INVALID. However, it ma happen that a hit
to a non conductive garment is signalled as VALID in the following cases:
–the part of the garment that is hit is damp with sweat.
–there is a change in the perspiration level of the fencer who made the hit. In this case carr out
the calibration procedure again, (see ch. 5.2).
•A hit to the guard is signalled as VALID2.
•A hit to the (insulated) varnished mask is signalled as INVALID. However, if a conductive part of
the mask (unvarnished) is hit, the hit ma be signalled as VALID.
•A hit to the conductive piste is signalled as VALID.
•A hit to the skin of an opponent is signalled as VALID.
•A hit to one's own skin is signalled as VALID.
•A hit to one's own conductive jacket is not signalled.
5.4. FOIL PLASTIC Specifications, for foil plastic with electrical connection
As for FOIL, except that each pressure the tip makes will result in a VALID hit. The tip contact should
close when it is pressed and should be connected as with the epee bod cord.

6. BATTERY CHARGING
Recharge the RECEIVER and the TRANSMITTERs at least ever 4 months if not
used.
Otherwise the batteries will become damaged.
6.1. RECEIVER battery
The average duration of the RECEIVER batter , if full charged, is approximatel 45 hours.
RECEIVER battery charge level: is indicated b how man times the green LED “BATTERY
LEVEL” flashes:
3 flashes = batter full charged;
2 flashes = batter at 50%;
1 flash = batter at 25%.
If the red LED “LOW BATTERY” flashes, it means the batter is dead.
If the batter is at 25% or dead, recharge as soon as possible.
Charging the RECEIVER battery: connect the power suppl cord to a 100-240V socket: the
“CHARGING” LED will flash to indicate connection. It takes approximatel 6 hours to full recharge a
dead batter . The charge level is indicated b the flashing of the “BATTERY LEVEL” LED, which will
remain lit when the batter is at least 90% charged. The batter charger can remain connected for
man hours without damaging the batter . When the RECEIVER is being charged, it cannot be
turned off.
6.2. TRANS ITTER battery
The average duration of the TRANSMITTER batter , if full charged, is approximatel 80 hours
(hence much greater than that of the RECEIVER).
We suggest alwa s charging the TRANSMITTERS and the RECEIVER together. In this wa ou
avoid the situation of the TRANSMITTER batter running out before that of the RECEIVER. The
TRANSMITTER will automaticall turn off if its batter is dead.
Charging the TRANS ITTER battery: while the RECEIVER batter is being recharged (see ch.

6.1), connect the TRANSMITTERS as indicated in Fig. 6, using the proper cables provided. If the
TRANSMITTERs are shut off, turn them on b pressing the P1 button; the TRANSMITTER's L1 LED
will flash twice to indicate that the batter is being charged. It takes approx. 3 hours to full charge
the batter . When the batter is full charged the TRANSMITTER's L1 LED will remain lit.
7. ADJUSTING THE ACOUSTIC SIGNAL
To adjust the volume of the acoustic signal, press the SET RED and the SET GREEN buttons
simultaneousl : each time ou press, the volume will go from “OFF” to “MINIMUM” to “MAXIMUM”,
see Fig. 7.
8. USING TWO RECEIVERS
To improve the visibilit of signalling for the two fencers, ou can use two RECEIVERs, which should
be placed, for example, at the far ends of the piste. Programme the two RECEIVERs with the same
piste number and the same weapon (see ch. 3.1 and 3.2). Use onl one of the two RECEIVERs to
programme the two TRANSMITTERs (see ch. 3.1 and 3.2).
In the case of strong radio disturbance, or in the case of simultaneous hits occurring
at the limit of FIE time regulations, it is possible that the light indicators of the two
RECEIVERs are different.

9. LED “ERROR”
The “ERROR” LED of the RECEIVER will flash if an internal abnormalities occur. Contact the
manufacturer and indicate the number of flashes emitted b the “ERROR” LED and describe the
situation in which the problem occurred.

10.3. Safety warning
Do not connect other devices to the charging connectors of the TRANSMITTER and
RECEIVER.
If the RECEIVER or TRANSMITTER batter needs replacement, be certain that this is
carried out b a qualified technician. Contact the manufacturer for spare parts and for
replacement procedures. Do not use batteries which have not been provided b the
Manufacturer.
Do not place near or dispose of in fire. Keep awa from sources of excessive heat. Do
not expose the batteries to water or damp environments. Do not puncture. Keep
products in a dr area. Do not use in environments with high amounts of static
electricit . Do not disassemble or tamper with the batteries in an wa . Keep out of
reach of children. When using the batteries closel follow the indications outlined in the
technical specifications. Interrupt use if the batteries have lost electrol tes or if the
emit a strange odour. If b accident bod parts come into contact with electrol te
leakage from a batter , immediatel and carefull wash the area with abundant fresh
water. Be careful not to rub our e es. Consult a doctor thereafter.

10.4. Guarantee
The guarantee is valid for two ears starting from the date of purchase and includes free repair for
an defects in materials or construction. The guarantee does not include shipping costs. Batteries are
not included in the warrant .

10.5. Disposal of product
Please dispose of our product in a manner most compatible with the environment and in accordance with
federal or state laws, reusing parts and rec cling components and materials when possible.
When this crossed-out waste bin s mbol is attached to a product it signifies the product should
be disposed of in a separate container from other waste. The sorted waste collection of the
present device is organized and managed b the manufacturer. Users who wish to dispose of
their present device should contact the manufacturer and follow the procedure indicated for
separate waste collection. Ensuring proper sorted waste collection, in accordance with environmental
standards, for the disposal of further devices helps to protect the environment and the health of persons
from an damaging effects. It also favors the reuse and rec cling of materials. Administrative sanctions, in
accordance with regulations in effect, will be applied for an improper or abusive disposal of the product on
part of the holder.
The disposal of lead batteries should be made onl in designated areas

1. GENERALITÀ
Il presente manuale descrive le caratteristiche e le modalità d'uso dell'apparecchio di scherma senza
fili WF1 (Wireless Fencing 1).
Esso è composto da:
•due TRANS ITTER: sono i due dispositivi da collegare ai passanti degli schermitori e inserire
nella tasca del pantalone; ciascun dispositivo contiene il rilevatore delle stoccate ed il
trasmettitore radio per la comunicazione con l'apparecchio RECEIVER;
•un RECEIVER: è l'apparecchio ricevitore che segnala le stoccate tramite le luci a LED.

1.1. Caratteristiche principali
•Apparecchio senza fili per la segnalazione delle stoccate nella scherma, adatto per l'allenamento
di spada e fioretto.
•Utilizzo immediato. Indicato per scuole o palestre non attrezzate per la scherma, poiché evita
l'installazione/disinstallazione di rulli, cavi, apparecchi e alimentazioni.
•Si utilizza con l'abbigliamento e l'attrezzatura usuali per la scherma. Non sono necessarie
vestizioni nè collegamenti con magliette o altri indumenti conduttivi speciali.
•Funzionamento con batterie ricaricabili.
•Trasmissione radio a 2.4GHz. Funzionamento contemporaneo di 12 piste senza interferenze.
Non adatto per le competizioni poiché non sono garantite tutte le funzionalità di un
apparecchio tradizionale a fili. Vedere capitoli 4.2 e 5.3.
Leggere attentamente il manuale prima dell'utilizzo, in particolare le avvertenze di
sicurezza contenute nel capitolo 10.
2. UTILIZZO DEL WF1
(1) Caricare le batterie del RECEIVER e dei TRANSMITTER, vedi capitolo 6.
(2) Accendere il RECEIVER mantenendo premuto per 1 secondo il pulsante ON/OFF: per 3 secondi
lampeggiano un LED rosso ed uno VERDE per indicare rispettivamente la pista e l'arma
selezionata. Successivamente lampeggia il LED “BATTERY LEVEL” per indicare il livello della
batteria, come descritto nel capitolo 6.1.
(3) Accendere ciascun TRANSMITTER premendo il pulsante P1. Sul RECEIVER si accende una riga
verticale di LED e sul TRANSMITTER lampeggia il LED L1. Premendo la punta dell'arma il
lampeggio avviene più velocemente.
(4) Per la prima installazione, selezionare il numero di pista come indicato nel capitolo 3.1.
(5) Selezionare il tipo di arma come indicato nel capitolo 3.2.
(6) Collegare i TRANSMITTER ai passanti e inserirli nella tasca posteriore dei pantaloni.
(7) Per l'utilizzo con la spada (EPEE) vedi capitolo 4.
(8) Per l'utilizzo con il fioretto (FOIL) vedi capitolo 5. Ricordarsi di eseguire la calibrazione, vedi capitolo
5.2.
(9) Verificare la corretta funzionalità, colpendo un bersaglio valido e uno non valido.
(10) Alla fine dell'uso, spegnere il RECEIVER premendo il pulsante ON/OFF (il RECEIVER si spegne
comunque per inattività dopo 20 minuti). I TRANSMITTER si spengono automaticamente per
inattività dopo 20 minuti.
(11) Riporre i TRANSMITTER nella valigetta nelle apposite sedi, utilizzando la clip metallica.
(12) Ricordarsi di ricaricare i dispositivi almeno ogni 4 mesi in caso di inutilizzo.
Controllare il perfetto funzionamento dell'arma, del passante e del giubbetto conduttivo
prima dell'utilizzo! Se il materiale non è in buono stato, il funzionamento può non
essere corretto.

3. PROGRA AZIONE
3.1. Selezione della pista
I PORTANTE: da eseguire solo se si utilizzano più apparecchi WF1 nella stessa sala.
Solo se si utilizzano più apparecchi WF1 nella stessa sala, è necessario
impostare un numero di pista diverso per ciascuno di essi, per evitare
interferenze radio. Il numero della pista in uso viene visualizzato premendo il
pulsante PISTE: si accende per 3 secondi uno dei LED rossi da 01 a 12, in
funzione della pista selezionata (vedi Fig.ra 2).
NOTE:
Co e i postazione di fabbrica, il RECEIVER e i TRANSMITTER sono
progra ati sulla pista 01.
Se la pista e orizzata nel TRANSMITTER non è uguale a quella
i postata nel RECEIVER, quest'ulti o non riceve e non visualizza le
stoccate.
Per modificare il numero della pista procedere come segue:
(1) Sul RECEIVER, mantenere premuto
PISTE per circa 2 secondi finché il LED
rosso indicante il numero della pista
lampeggia, poi premere PISTE più volte
per selezionare la pista desiderata, vedi
Fig.ra 2.
(2) Per il TRANSMITTER associato al
colore rosso, tenere premuti
contemporaneamente il pulsante P1 del
TRANSMITTER ed il pulsante SET RED
del RECEIVER per almeno 2 secondi;
l'accensione di tutti i LED rossi del RECEIVER indica l'avvenuta programmazione, vedi Fig.ra 3.
(3) Per il TRANSMITTER associato al colore verde, eseguire la stessa procedura descritta al punto (2)
utilizzando il pulsante SET GREEN.
3.2. Selezione dell'arma
(1) Impostare l'arma desiderata premendo il pulsante WEAPON più volte,
fino ad accendere il LED verde relativo all'arma desiderata, vedi Fig. 4.
Si possono selezionare 5 modalità di funzionamento:
- “Epee": spada
- "Foil": fioretto
- "Epee training": per segnalare stoccate in rapida successione nella spada
- "Epee plastic": per spade di plastica con connessione elettrica
- "Foil plastic": per fioretti di plastica con connessione elettrica
(2) Premere il pulsante P1 su ciascun TRANSMITTER in modo da
aggiornare l'arma selezionata tramite il RECEIVER: se sul RECEIVER si
accendono tutti i LED, la programmazione è avvenuta correttamente.
NOTE:
Le funzionalità delle varie ar i sono descritte nei capitoli 4 e 5. Se l'ar a i postata nel RECEIVER è
diversa da quella e orizzata in un TRANSMITTER, alla pri a stoccata co parirà una X la peggiante
nel RECEIVER.

4. EPEE (SPADA)
4.1. Specifiche EPEE (spada)
Tempo di apertura del contatto di punta: 4ms, come da specifiche FIE.
Tempo del colpo doppio: 45ms +/-5ms, come da specifiche FIE.
Riarmo automatico: dopo 2 secondi.
Modalità di rilevazione stoccata: vedi capitolo 4.2.
4.2. Note sulla rilevazione della stoccata per EPEE (spada)
•La stoccata viene segnalata dall'accensione per 2 secondi di tutti i LED rossi o verdi a seconda
dello schermitore che l'ha effettuata.
•La stoccata all'abbigliamento e alle scarpe viene segnalata. Può comunque accadere che una
stoccata non sia segnalata se viene colpito un indumento umido di sudore.
•La stoccata alla pedana non viene segnalata. Può comunque accadere che una stoccata alla
pedana sia segnalata con certi tipi di spade3 se la punta viene prima appoggiata alla pedana e
poi premuta sulla stessa.
•Le stoccate alla maschera verniciata (isolata) dell'avversario vengono segnalate. Se comunque si
colpisce una parte conduttiva della maschera (senza vernice) la stoccata può non venire segnalata.
•La stoccata alla propria maschera verniciata (isolata) viene segnalata. Se comunque si colpisce una
parte conduttiva della propria maschera (senza vernice) la stoccata può non essere segnalata.
•La stoccata alla pelle dell'avversario non viene segnalata.
•La stoccata alla propria pelle può non venire segnalata. Quindi, per provare se la punta funziona,
non premerla sul la propria mano ma su una superficie isolante (ad esempio, sulla propria scarpa).
•La stoccata alla coccia non viene segnalata. Può comunque accadere che una stoccata alla
coccia sia segnalata come valida nelle seguenti situazioni:
–entrambi gli schermitori sono contemporaneamente in fase di salto.
–i passanti non sono indossati correttamente. Partendo dall'arma, il passante d e ve correre lungo il
braccio a contatto della pelle, poi passare sop ra la maglietta intim a fino ad arrivare alla base
della schiena .
–con alcuni tipi di spade3, quando la punta viene prima appoggiata alla coccia e poi premuta
sulla stessa.
4.3. Specifiche EPEE TRAINING, per segnalare stoccate in rapida successione nella spada
Come per EPEE, ma con tempi di segnalazione e riarmo automatico pari a 0,1 secondi. Utile per
segnalare stoccate in rapida successione nell'allenamento con la spada.
4.4. Specifiche EPEE PLASTIC, per spada di plastica con connessione elettrica
Come per EPEE ma ogni stoccata viene segnalata anche se si colpisce la pedana o la coccia.
Questa modalità di funzionamento può essere utilizzata anche con le normali spade metalliche
quando gli schermitori sono molto sudati e si notano troppe mancate segnalazioni delle stoccate
effettuate su parti sudate. In questa modalità tutte le stoccate vengono segnalate, incluse quelle alla
coccia e alla pedana.

5. FOIL (FIORETTO)
5.1. Specifiche FOIL (fioretto)
Tempo di apertura del contatto di punta: 14ms, come da regolamento FIE.
Tempo del colpo doppio: 300ms +/-25ms, come da regolamento FIE.
Riarmo automatico: dopo 2 secondi.
Modalità di rilevazione stoccata: vedi capitolo 5.3.
5.2. Calibrazione FOIL (fioretto)
Prima di iniziare l'allenamento/incontro di fioretto, è necessario eseguire la
procedura di calibrazione per ogni TRANS ITTER.
Se il TRANSMITTER non è calibrato, ad ogni stoccata il RECEIVER segnala una “C”
lampeggiante.
Eseguire la calibrazione rispettando le seguenti indicazioni per la posizione dello
schermitore (vedi Fig. 5):
•posizione eretta;
•braccio teso in avanti;
•impugnatura stretta sull'arma;
•colpire 3 volte il giubbetto avversario in rapida successione: il RECEIVER
visualizza una “C” accesa fissa se la calibrazione è avvenuta correttamente.
Lo schermitore avversario deve essere in posizione eretta, con l'arma che non tocca la
pedana o il giubbetto, con la mano libera che non tocca il giubbetto nè l'arma.

Con la procedura di calibrazione, il TRANSMITTER misura le caratteristiche dello schermitore, del
passante, del giubbetto e dell'arma.
Se cambiano le condizioni (ad esempio: cambio dello schermitore, cambio
dell'arma, sudorazione abbondante, ecc.) sarà necessario ripetere la calibrazione.
Ad ogni accensione del TRANSMITTER è necessario rieseguire la procedura di
calibrazione.
Se si nota un funzionamento non corretto, ripetere la calibrazione facendo attenzione
alla posizione degli schermitori (vedi Fig. 5).
5.3. Note sulla rilevazione della stoccata per FOIL (fioretto)
•La stoccata VALIDA viene segnalata dall'accensione per 2 secondi di tutti i LED rossi o verdi a
seconda dello schermitore che l'ha effettuata.
•La stoccata NON VALIDA viene segnalata dal lampeggio di una sola riga di 4 LED.
•La stoccata al giubbetto conduttivo viene segnalata come VALIDA. Se viene segnalata come
NON VALIDA:
–assicurarsi che la parte colpita del giubbetto non sia isolata o fortemente ossidata;
–rifare la calibrazione (vedi capitolo 5.2) di chi ha effettuato la stoccata.
•La stoccata al vestiario non conduttivo viene segnalata come NON VALIDA. Può comunque
accadere che una stoccata al vestiario non conduttivo sia segnalata come VALIDA nei seguenti
casi:
–viene colpita una parte umida di sudore;
–è cambiato lo stato di sudorazione di chi ha effettuato la stoccata; in questo caso rifare la
calibrazione (vedi capitolo 5.2).
•La stoccata alla coccia viene segnalata come VALIDA4.
•La stoccata alla maschera verniciata (isolata) viene segnalata come NON VALIDA. Se però si
colpisce una parte conduttiva della maschera (senza vernice) la stoccata può essere segnalata
come VALIDA.
•La stoccata alla pedana conduttiva viene segnalata come VALIDA.
•La stoccata alla pelle dell'avversario viene segnalata come VALIDA.
•La stoccata alla propria pelle viene segnalata come VALIDA.
•La stoccata al proprio giubbetto conduttivo non viene segnalata.
5.4. Specifiche FOIL PLASTIC, per fioretto di plastica con connessione elettrica
Come per FOIL (fioretto), ma ogni pressione della punta provoca una stoccata VALIDA. Il contatto di
punta deve chiudersi quando essa viene premuta e va collegato come per il passante di spada.

6. CARICA DELLE BATTERIE
Ricaricare il RECEIVER ed i TRANSMITTER almeno ogni 4 mesi se non utilizzati.
In caso contrario, le batterie si danneggiano.
6.1. Batteria del RECEIVER
La durata tipica della batteria del RECEIVER, se completamente carica, è di circa 45 ore.
Livello di carica della batteria del RECEIVER: è indicato dal numero di lampeggi del LED verde
BATTERY LEVEL:
3 lampeggi = batteria carica;
2 lampeggi = batteria al 50%;
1 lampeggio = batteria al 25%.
Se lampeggia il LED rosso “LOW BATTERY”, la batteria è scarica.
Con batteria al 25% o scarica, ricaricare appena possibile.
Carica della batteria del RECEIVER: collegare il cavo di alimentazione ad una presa 100-240V: il
LED “CHARGING” lampeggia ad indicare il collegamento. Una batteria scarica si ricarica
completamente in circa 6 ore. Lo stato della carica è indicato dai lampeggi del LED “BATTERY
LEVEL”, il quale rimane acceso fisso quando la batteria è carica almeno al 90%. Il caricabatteria può
rimanere collegato per molte ore senza danneggiare la batteria. Quando il RECEIVER è in carica,
non è possibile spegnerlo.
6.2. Batterie del TRANS ITTER
La durata tipica della batteria del TRANSMITTER, se completamente carica, è di circa 80 ore (quindi
molto superiore a quella del RECEIVER).
E' consigliato caricare sempre i TRANSMITTER ed il RECEIVER assieme: in questo modo non
dovrebbe mai verificarsi il caso in cui un TRANSMITTER si scarica prima del RECEIVER. Se il
TRANSMITTER ha la batteria scarica, si spegne automaticamente.
Carica della batteria del TRANS ITTER: mentre avviene la carica della batteria del RECEIVER
(vedi capitolo 6.1), collegare i TRANSMITTER come indicato in Fig. 6, utilizzando gli appositi cavetti

forniti in dotazione. Se i TRANSMITTER sono spenti, accenderli premendo il pulsante P1; il LED L1
del TRANSMITTER effettua un doppio lampeggio per segnalare che è in corso la carica. La carica
completa avviene in circa 3 ore e viene indicata con il LED L1 del TRANSMITTER che rimane
acceso fisso.
7. REGOLAZIONE DEL SEGNALE SONORO
Per regolare l'intensità del segnale sonoro, premere contemporaneamente i pulsanti SET RED e SET
GREEN: ad ogni pressione il volume passa da “OFF” a “livello MINIMO” a “livello MASSIMO”, vedi
Fig.ra 7.
8. UTILIZZO DI DUE RECEIVER
Per migliorare la visibilità delle segnalazioni per i due schermitori, è possibile utilizzare due
RECEIVER, da posizionare ad esempio agli estremi della pedana. Configurare i due RECEIVER con
lo stesso numero di pista e la stessa arma (vedi capitoli 3.1 e 3.2). Utilizzare solo uno dei due
RECEIVER per programmare i due TRANSMITTER (vedi capitoli 3.1 e 3.2).
Nel caso di forti disturbi radio o in caso di stoccate contemporanee che avvengono
al limite del tempo del regolamento FIE, è possibile che le indicazioni luminose dei
due RECEIVER siano differenti.
9. LED “ERROR”
Il LED “ERROR” del RECEIVER lampeggia in caso di anomalie interne. Contattare il fornitore
comunicandogli il numero di lampeggi del LED “ERROR” e la situazione in cui si è verificato il
problema.

Contattare il Fornitore per i ricambi e per le procedure di sostituzione. Non utilizzare
batterie non fornite dal Produttore.
Non gettare nel fuoco. Non tenere vicino a fonti di calore eccessivo. Non esporre le
batterie all’acqua o ad ambienti umidi. Non forare. Tenere i prodotti in un ambiente
asciutto. Non utilizzare in ambienti saturi di elettricità statica. Non disassemblare o
manomettere in qualsiasi modo le pile o le batterie. Tenere fuori dalla portata dei
bambini. Nell’utilizzo delle pile attenersi strettamente a quanto indicato nelle specifiche
tecniche. Interrompere l’utilizzo se hanno perso elettrolita o emettono cattivo odore. Se
parti del corpo vengono a contatto con elettrolita fuoriuscito accidentalmente da una
pila, lavarsi immediatamente ed accuratamente con abbondante acqua fresca. In
modo particolare non sfregare gli occhi. Consultare successivamente un medico.
