INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Remove license plate bracket and retain for
vehicle owner. Remove bumper and brackets by
unbolting at frame. Retain fasteners.
2. Install pushplate by holding front portion of
pushplate in place using previously removed bolt
assembly. Clamp rear portion of pushplate into
position on truck frame, making sure the pushplate
is tight against the bottom of the frame.
3. Use three holes in pushplates as guides to drill
three 17/32" diameter holes, one through the
bottom and two through the inner wall of the truck
frame. Pull up and forward on the bottom tab of
the frame spacer, allowing enough room to install
the bolts with handles. Insert three 1/2" x 1-1/4"
bolts with handles and two 1/2" hardened flat
washers past the opening in the front frame
spacer and into the truck frame (do not put a
washer on the bolt that goes through the bottom of
the frame). Fasten with three 1/2" locknuts. Hand
tighten fasteners. Bend or cut off the handles on
the bolts to prevent contact with the bumper
bracket.
4. Install other pushplate as described in steps 1–3.
5. Install the cross bar using four 1/2" x 1-1/2" cap
screws and 1/2" locknuts. Hand tighten fasteners.
Measure the distance between the connecting pin
doublers. The distance should be 29-1/8" ± 1/8"
from center to center. Take a second
measurement farther back on the pushplate to
ensure they are parallel.
6. Remove or notch air dam to allow sufficient
clearance for pushplates and mounting of blade
assembly. Suggested modification is shown below.
7. Remove bolt assembly from front of pushplate.
Reattach bumper again using the bolt assembly,
but be sure to install assembly from the inside of
the frame. Verify that the bumper brackets are
between the frame and the pushplate tabs.
8. Tighten all fasteners.
NOTE: After five to ten hours of snowplow usage,
retorque all pushplate assembly fasteners.
