Overview
The 2238 timer turns power on and off repeatedly
to a fogger or other appliance. Plug the 2238 into an
electrical outlet, and plug the fogger into the 2238’s
receptacle.
Depending on its size, the receptacle may be locat-
ed in the enclosure, or on a wire pigtail like an
extension cord.
Models of the 2238 are available with receptacles
and plugs for various countries.
Operation
With the power switch off, plug the 2238 power
cord into a wall outlet and plug the fogger or other
appliance to be controlled to the 2238 receptacle.
The attached load should not exceed the contact
rating of the 2238.
Turn the power switch of the fogger or appliance to
its “on” position.
Use the two dials to set the length of the “ON” and
“OFF” cycles (1-100 minutes). Hash marks on the
label represent about 16 minutes each.
Each dial has a lock nut to secure its setting. Loosen
the nut slightly so the dial turns freely. The dial has
a one-turn limit; do not force a dial past its limit. If
you encounter resistance, check that the lock nut is
free, and turn the dial the opposite direction to con-
firm it is operating smoothly.
Tighten the nut on the dial to lock the setting.
Turn on the power switch of the 2238. It starts an
“on” cycle, delivering power to the receptacle, and
continues to cycle power until turned off.
