3.1ConfigurationConnection
Beforeconfiguration,youshouldconnecttherouterand yourconfigurationPCwiththe
suppliednetworkcable.Plugthecable’soneendintotheLocalNetworkportoftherouter,and
anotherendintoyourconfigurePC’sEthernetport. Theconnection diagramisasfollowing:
PleasemodifytheIPaddress ofPCasthesamenetworksegmentaddress oftherouter,for
instance,192.168.1.9. ModifythemaskcodeofPCas255.255.255.0 and setthedefault gateway
ofPCastherouter’sIPaddress (192.168.1.1).
3.2AccesstheConfigurationWebPage
Thechapteristopresentmainfunctionsofeachpage.Usersvisit pagetoolviawebbrowser
afterconnectusers' PCtotherouter. Thereareelevenmainpages:Setting, Wireless,Service,VPN,
Security,Access Restrictions,NAT,QoSSetting,Applications,Managementand Status.Users
enabletobrowseslavepagesbyclickonemainpage.
UserscanopenIEorotherexplorersandentertherouter'sdefaultIPaddress of192.168.1.1
onaddress bar,thenpress thebottonofEntertovisit pageWebmanagementtooloftherouter.
Theuserslogininthewebpageatthefirstname,therewill displayapageshowsasblowtotip
userstomodifythedefault usernameandpasswordoftherouter.Usershavetoclick"change
password" tomakeit workiftheymodifyusernameandpassword.

3.3.1 Setting
TheSetupscreenisthefirstscreenuserswill seewhenaccessingtherouter.Mostuserswill be
abletoconfiguretherouterand getit workproperlyusingonlythesettingsonthisscreen.Some
InternetServiceProviders(ISPs)will requireuserstoenterspecificinformation,suchasUser
Name,Password,IPAddress,Default GatewayAddress,orDNSIPAddress.Theseinformation
canbeobtainedfromyourISP, ifrequired.
3.3.1.1 BasicSetting
DUALLINKOPTION
Enableduallink option toenabledualbothonlinerouter.Clickdisablemeanstoenableonly
singlelink(mainlink),andbackuplinkdoesnotenabletowork.Clickenablemeanstoonlyone
linkcanworkbetweenmainlinkandbackuplink.If mainlinkisonline,it usesmainlink.If main
linkisoffline, it switchestobackuplink. Onlybackup linkisofflinecanitswitchtomainlink.
