SENSITIVITY “+” AND “-“ BUTTONS
These buttons allow the user to adjust the
number of “beeps” that are required to
illuminate the light. Initially, the unit is set to
sensitivity level 8, which will result in the light
illuminating on a single “beep” from the
bite alarm.
Pressing the “sensitivity +” button will increase
the sensitivity setting. Each time the button is
pressed, the light will flash briefly, to indicate
the new setting, i.e. 1 flash = level 1, 2 flashes
= level 2, …. etc …. 8 flashes = level 8.
Pressing the “sensitivity -“ button will have the
reverse effect
.
DELAY “+” AND “-“ BUTTONS
These buttons allow the user to adjust the
length of time that the light remains on, after
it has received a transmission from a bite
alarm. There are 8 different delay
settings available, which are indicated by
flashes. The corresponding time delays are
as follows -
CONTROLS:
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Before using your Halo Elite for the first time,
you must “register” it with your bite alarms
and/or receiver. See page 8 for details.
The Halo Elite bivvy light incorporates 5 push
button controls, as follows -
ON/OFF SWITCH
Use this button to switch the Halo Elite on
and off. When first switched on, the light will
illuminate, for a period determined by the
current delay setting (see page 4) and will
then go out. It can be switched back on by
using the remote keyfob, or in response to a
transmission from a bite alarm.

BATTERIES
TO FIT / REPLACE BATTERIES:
The battery compartment is located on the
base of the unit. Unclip the cover to access
the batteries.
Ensure batteries are inserted the correct
way round, as shown in the battery
compartment.
BATTERY REQUIREMENTS
The Halo Elite model requires 2 x 'C' size
(LR14) 1.5V alkaline batteries.
The use of good quality alkaline batteries is
essential for maximum battery life.
To reduce the risk of battery leakage, DO
NOT mix old and new batteries. DO NOT mix
different battery types. The use of
rechargeable batteries is not recommended.
As with any battery operated product, it is
recommended that the batteries be removed,
if the unit is not to be used for a long period
of time.

5
UK
Battery replacement
Replace the batteries in your Halo Elite,
when the brightness of the lamp has
reduced considerably. The exact point at
which batteries are replaced should be
determined by what is acceptable to the user.
The radio system will continue to
function long after the lamp brightness has
fallen to an unacceptable level, so this is not
a consideration.
Note: the Halo Elite has been designed for
use in a bivvy. Please do not expose it to rain
or moisture.
KEYFOB REMOTE CONTROL
The keyfob remote control
can be used to switch your
Halo Elite bivvy light on or off
at any time, as long as the
Bivvy light has not been switched
“OFF” from the ON/OFF switch.
Press and release the button on the keyfob
to operate.
IMPORTANT NOTE: always remember to
switch your bivvy light “OFF” at the ON/OFF
switch, at the end of a night fishing session.
The internal radio receiver in the bivvy light
will slowly drain the batteries, over a
period of weeks, even though the light is
not illuminated.
Battery - the Keyfob requires 1 x CR2032 3V
lithium coin cell (supplied). With normal usage,
this battery should have a very long life.
To fit/replace battery - insert a coin into
the battery cover at the rear of the keyfob
and rotate anticlockwise so that the cover
lifts off. Ensure battery is fitted with the “+”
face uppermost. Replace the cover and
rotate clockwise, so that the mark on the
cover aligns with the “locked” symbol.
Replace the battery, when the keyfob
becomes unreliable, or the operating range
reduces noticeably.

MAGNETIC MOUNTING SYSTEM
To attach the Halo Elite to your bivvy - remove
the metal plate from the back. Hold the Halo
Elite up to the inside of your bivvy, in the
desired location and place the metal plate on
the outside of the bivvy, so that the fabric of
the bivvy is sandwiched between the metal
plate and the base of the Halo Elite.
REGISTRATION PROCEDURES
One of these procedures must be followed,
before you use your Halo Elite for the first
time. They do NOT need to be repeated
again, unless you change, or add to, your bite
alarms or receiver. Registration data is held
in “non-volatile” memory and is retained
indefinitely, even if the batteries are removed.
Please read the following questions carefully,
to determine which procedure you should
follow -
DO YOU OWN AN I-COM INTERACTIVE
TRANSCEIVER? - if so, please go straight
to “PROCEDURE(4) - Registration with an
I-COM Transceiver”
DO YOU OWN AN RX3 RECEIVER OR
TXR+ SYSTEM? - if so, please go straight to
“PROCEDURE(3) - Registration with an RX3
receiver (including TXR+).”
DO YOU OWN ANY RADIO-EQUIPPED
BITE ALARMS (EOS-R, PSR, RS SERIES),
BUT DO NOT OWN A RECEIVER? - if so,
please go straight to “PROCEDURE(2) -
Registration without a receiver”.
DO YOU WISH TO USE THE UNIT WITH
THE KEYFOB ONLY? - i.e. you do not own
any other radio-equipped units - please follow
“PROCEDURE(1) - Registration as a
stand-alone unit.”
PROCEDURE(1)
Registration as a stand-alone unit
This procedure will allow you to use the Halo
Elite with its remote keyfob only. Should you
subsequently purchase any radio-equipped
bite alarms, you should repeat the
registration process, following one of the
other procedures below, depending on which
products you have purchased.

again. You should now find that you can
operate the light from your keyfob.
PROCEDURE(2)
Registration without a receiver
This procedure should be followed if you own
radio-equipped bite alarms (EOS-R, RS series
or PSR), but DO NOT own an RX3 receiver or
I-COM Transceiver. Up to four bite alarms
may be used with the Halo Elite.
If you subsequently purchase an RX3 or
I-COM, then you will need to repeat the
registration process, using one of the
relevant procedures below.
1. Ensure the Halo Elite and all your bite
alarms are switched OFF.
2. Whilst HOLDING DOWN the “sensitivity +”
button, switch the unit on.
3. The light will start to flash. Release the
“sensitivity +” button
4. Switch on one of your bite alarms (note - the
bite alarms may be registered in any order).
5. The bite alarm should emit its usual
three-note start-up tone, followed by a
“tick-tock” sound. Also, the bivvy light will
stop flashing and illuminate steadily for a
brief period, before it starts flashing
again. This indicates that registration has
been successful.
6. Repeat steps (4) & (5) for your remaining
bite alarms (up to four alarms).
7. Ensure the battery is fitted in your remote
keyfob.
8. Press and HOLD DOWN the button on
your keyfob.
9. After about 2 seconds, the light will stop
flashing and illuminate steadily for a brief
period. This indicates that registration has
been successful.
10.If you have registered four bite alarms
and the keyfob, the light will now go out.

8
UK
11. Alternatively, if you have registered less
than four alarms, the light will start
flashing again. Switch the Halo Elite off
and then on again.
12. You should now find that the light
illuminates when any of your alarms are
triggered and can be switched on and
off from the remote keyfob.
PROCEDURE(3)
Registration with an RX3 receiver
(including TXR+)
This procedure should be followed if you own
radio - equipped bite alarms and an RX3
receiver, or a TXR+ system.
1. Ensure that your bite alarms are
registered with the RX3 receiver (see

2. Ensure your RX3 receiver and Halo Elite
are switched OFF.
3. Switch on your RX3 receiver.
4. Press and hold down the [ON/OFF] button
on your RX3. After about two seconds,
the top LED will start to flicker rapidly.
Release the [ON/OFF] button.
5. Press and release the “volume -“ button
on your RX3, four times, so that all four
LEDs are flickering.
6. Press and HOLD DOWN the button on
your Halo Elite remote keyfob, until the
four LEDs on the RX3 illuminate
constantly (approx 2 seconds) and the
RX3 emits a single “beep”
7. Hold down the [ON/OFF] button on your
RX3, until the topmost LED starts
flickering again.
Release the [ON/OFF] button.
8. Press and release the “volume -“ button
on your RX3, four times, so that all four
LEDs are flickering.
9. Switch on the Halo Elite. After a second
or so, the four LEDs on the RX3 should
illuminate constantly and a single beep will
be heard. The light on the Halo Elite will
also give a single flash.
10. You should now find that the light
illuminates when any of your alarms are
triggered and can be switched on and off
from the remote keyfob.
Note -
• You do NOT need to repeat this procedure
if you purchase any additional bite alarms -
it is only necessary to register them with
the RX3 receiver (see RX3 instructions for
details). The Halo Elite will automatically
respond to any bite alarm, which is

navigation switch.
5. Press and HOLD DOWN the button on
your Halo Elite remote keyfob, until the
I-COM reverts to its default editing screen
(approx 2 seconds) and emits a single beep.
6. Repeat step (4) above.
7. Switch on the Halo Elite. After a second
or so, the I-COM will revert to its default
editing screen and will emit a single beep.
The light on the Halo Elite will also give a
single flash.

illuminates when any of your alarms are
triggered and can be switched on and off
from the remote keyfob.
9. You can also adjust the settings of your
Halo Elite, and switch it on and off, by
using your I-COM. See I-COM instructions
for full details.
Note -
• You do NOT need to repeat this procedure
if you purchase any additional bite alarms -
it is only necessary to register them with
the I-COM (see I-COM instructions for
details). The Halo Elite will automatically
respond to any bite alarm, which is
registered to your I-COM, even if you
change alarms.
• The Halo Elite will now respond to your
bite alarms, whether or not your I-COM
Transceiver is in use.
