Removing packaging material
Remove the material as follows:
1. Remove the cardboard A.
2. Remove the labelled pin B.
3. Cut the binding strap C and remove it.
4. Open accumulation table D, by pushing the bottom half downwards and remove the
foam block,
5. Close the accumulation table.

6. Open the top cover of the machine by means of the handle.
7. Remove the cardboard from the insert position.
8. Close the top cover. When doing so make sure that the top cover "locks" into position.

Before you Start2
Your inserter is unpacked and installed on a stable surface. The following items are delivered
with your system:
• Operator Manual and this Installation Guide
• Power cable, brushes and moistening cloth
• A bottle with sealing liquid
1. Make sure that the indicated parts are available.
2. Make sure that the system is suitable for the local mains voltage. Refer to the type
plate.
3. The power connection must be easily accessible, preferably close to the system. For
safety reasons, it is essential that the system is connected to a socket outlet that has
a protective earth connection.
If all items are delivered and the machine is placed in the correct position, continue with
these instructions.

Installation3
Installing the Document Feed Trays
Place the document feed trays in position:
1. Hold the document feeder slightly inclined as shown in the figure.
2. Place the front end of the document feed tray underneath the two rollers.
3. Move the document feed tray upwards (lifting the two rollers), until it is possible to
‘hook’ the feeder into place.
4. Move the document feed tray towards the machine and move the hooks over the
mounting points (on both sides).
5. Let the document feed tray rest on the machine.

Installing the Slide and Catch tray
To install the slide and the catch tray:
1. Attach the slide as shown in the figure.
2. Position the envelope catch tray into the holes underneath the envelope hopper as
shown in the figure.The distance Ashould be approximately 1.5 x the envelope height.

Side Exit
The system can be equipped with a side exit and catch tray. The side exit can be fitted
instead of the standard envelope receiving tray. The side exit allows a conveyor or a franking
system to be fitted in line with the system.
The side exit can also be used with a catch tray to achieve vertical stacking. The catch tray
is delivered with the side exit.

Filling the Sealing Liquid Reservoir
1. Open the front cover A.
2. Fill the reservoir Bto the "Max" lip Cwith sealing liquid.
3. Close the front cover A.
Before starting the job, wait approximately 5 minutes for the brushes to moisten.
Before starting the job, wait approximately 5 minutes for the brushes to moisten or use
moistened brushes. For instructions on the installation of brushes, see Clean and replace
brushes (User Guide).
For good moistening, regularly check that the sealing liquid reservoir is filled.

Connect the System to
Mains Power Supply and
Power Up

Power Up
To start up the system:
You can severely damage the machine if it is connected to the
incorrect power supply. Before plugging in the machine, check if
the local voltage is the same as the voltage mentioned on the type
plate.
1. Connect the system to the mains power supply.
2. Use the power switch to switch the system on. The power switch is located on the
right-hand side of the system.
3. Select the language for the display.
4. Press [No] if the software asks if you want to select the language every time the system
is switched on.
Set Sales Organisation and Country Specific Details
Make sure the localisation menu has the correct settings:
1. In the service menu, press [System Settings], [Localisation].
2. Make sure all settings in both localisation menus apply to the customer's situation.

Test the System and Define

Testing the System
Test the system as follows:
1. Load the document feeder trays.
2. Load the envelope hopper.
3. From the 'Home' menu press [New job], [Automatic].
4. Press the [1x] button. If necessary adjust address position, insert position and
insert fingers.
5. Select a job and write down its fold settings.
6. Press the [1x] button.
7. Make sure that the folds are in the correct position. If not correct, adjust the folder
offset (service menu, [System settings], [Folder offset]).
8. Make sure that the flap closer quality is sufficient. If not correct, adjust the flap closer
offset (service menu, [System settings], [Flap closer offset]).

Retrait des matériaux d'emballage
Retirez les matériaux comme suit :
1. Retirez le carton A.
2. Retirez la broche B.
3. Coupez l'adhésif C et retirez-le.
4. Ouvrez la table d'accumulation D, en appuyant pour faire sortir sa partie inférieure et
retirez le bloc de mousse,
5. Fermez la table d'accumulation.
