• Installation, commissioning and maintenance must be performed only by a
qualified expert in accordance with the instructions provided, legal requirements
and recognised engineering standards.
• All technical connection regulations specified by the local water and electricity
supply companies must be observed.

5. Application
F3S self-closing single mixer tap, DN 15, as installation kit for wall mounting in basic
installation kit, for shower systems. For connection to hot and cold water supply.
Continuously adjustable flow time.
6. Technical specifications
Minimum flow pressure: 1.0 bar
Recommended flow pressure: 1-5 bar
Maximum operating pressure: 10 bar
Calculated flow rate: 0.15 l/s 0.15 l/s
Volumetric flow: 15 l/min at 3 bar flow pressure and 38°C
Flow time at 38°C: 5-35 s adjustable with shower head 12 l/min

Warning!
Only operate the tap with non-return valves and the specified filters.
Failure to observe this instruction can result in an increased germ load in the
drinking water and thus pose a health or mortality risk.
☞Important!
Prior to the assembly process, flush the pipework in accordance with DIN 1988.
10.1 Remove the wall protection.
☞Ensure a clean cut.
10.2 Cut off any protruding parts of the wall mounting box.
10.3 Shut off the water supply.
10.4 Remove the T-type flush connector (a) and any seals that are present.
10.5 Mount the tap (c) with the spout and filter seals (b).
10.6 Install the frame (d) in a horizontal position.
10.7 If necessary, shorten the spacer sleeves (e) to fit the distance from the front edge of
the wall mounting box to the front edge of the tiles.

10.8 Open the water supply.
10.9 Check the water connections for leaks.

10.10 Remove the small cover plate (j).
10.11 Remove the locking ring (h).
10.12 Remove the pressure cap (g) and spring (f).
10.13 Pull the protective foil off the cover plate.
10.14 Seal the cover plate, e.g. with Chromol (not part of the delivery scope,
see Accessories Chapter 19.).
10.15 Insert the cover plate (k) into the frame tabs at the top and fit.
10.16 Push on the rosette (l).
10.17 Fasten the cover plate at the bottom, using the screws (m).
10.18 Check the flow time and adjust if necessary (see Chapter 12.).
10.19 Set the temperature stop (see Chapter 13.).
☞Important!
When putting the pressure cap in place, ensure that the tappet engages with the
corresponding groove.
10.20 Fit the spring (f) and pressure cap (g).
10.21 Secure the pressure cap with the locking ring (h).
10.22 Fit the small cover plate (j).
11. Function
Trigger the flow of water
11.1 Press the pressure cap.
• The water will flow.
• The water flow stops automatically once the preset flow time has expired.
Temperature selection
12. Setting Flow Time
12.1 Set the desired temperature of the mixed water.
12.2 Remove the small cover plate.
12.3 Use a screwdriver to set the flow time.
a: Blade width 3 mm
+ longer flow time (max. 35 s)
– shorter flow time (min. 5 s)
12.4 Trigger the tap to measure the flow time.

13. Setting the Temperature Stop
Warning!
If the hot water supply temperature is above 43°C, the temperature stop should be set.
Failure to observe this instruction can result in injuries due to scalding.
☞The temperature stop is not an active scald protection function.
13.1 Remove the pressure cap (see Chapter 10.).
13.2 Carefully lever off the stop ring with a screwdriver and pull off the gear teeth by hand.
☞Important!
When putting the pressure cap in place, ensure that the tappet engages with the
corresponding groove.
13.3 Put the pressure cap in place and trigger the tap.
13.4 Turn the pressure cap until the desired maximum water temperature is reached.
13.5 Slide the stop ring onto the gear teeth so that the stud on the stop ring is at the
right-hand end stop of the housing.
☞Important!
When putting the pressure cap in place, ensure that the tappet engages with the
corresponding groove (see Work step 13.3).
13.6 Reassemble in reverse order.
14. Maintenance and care
The tap must be checked and maintained at regular intervals, depending on the
water quality and in accordance with the local conditions and rules and regulations
applicable at the site.
Maintain the following components:
• Non-return valve (see Chapter 16.)
Use suitable cleaning agents which do not attack the tap in a proper manner and
rinse with water after use. High-pressure cleaners must not be used for cleaning.
Removing the cover plate
For some maintenance tasks, the cover plate must be removed.
14.1 Shut off the water supply.
14.2 Trigger the tap.
14.3 Remove the small cover plate (d).
14.4 Remove the locking ring (c).
14.5 Remove the pressure cap (b) and spring (a).
14.6 Remove the screws from the bottom of the cover plate (e).
14.7 Remove the rosette (g).

14.8 Pull the bottom of the cover plate (f) forwards and detach at the top.
Install the cover plate
14.9 Insert the cover plate (f) into the frame tabs at the top and fit.
14.10 Push on the rosette (g).
14.11 Fasten the cover plate at the bottom, using the screws (e).
14.12 Check the flow time and adjust where necessary (see Chapter 12.).
14.13 Check the temperature and set the temperature stop if necessary (see Chapter 13.).
☞Important!
When putting the pressure cap in place, ensure that the tappet engages with the
corresponding groove.
14.14 Fit the spring (a) and pressure cap (b).
14.15 Secure the pressure cap with the locking ring (c).
14.16 Fit the small cover plate (d).
15. Replacing the filters
15.1 Remove the cover plate (see Chapter 14.).
15.2 Remove the tap (a).
15.3 Replace the filter seals (b).
15.4 Mount the tap (a).
15.5 Mount the cover plate (see Chapter 14.).

16. Replacing the non-return valve
Warning!
All non-return valves must be replaced at the same time.
Failure to observe this instruction can result in an increased germ load in the
drinking water and thus pose a health or mortality risk.
16.1 Remove the cover plate (see Chapter 14.).
16.2 Remove the tap (a).
16.3 Remove the existing filter seals.
16.4 Remove the locking ring on the inside using appropriate pliers for locking rings.
16.5 Remove the non-return valves (c) with a special tool (b; see Chapter 19.,
Accessories).
Caution!
Note the installation position of the non-return valves.
16.6 Insert the non-return valves (c).
☞Important!
Note the installation position of the filter seals.
16.7 Mount the tap (a).
16.8 Mount the cover plate (see Chapter 14.).
17. Replace the functional element
17.1 Shut off the water supply.
17.2 Trigger the tap.
17.3 Remove the pressure cap (see Chapter 14.).
17.4 Replace the functional element using an Allen key.
☞Important!
When putting the pressure cap in place, ensure that the tappet engages with the
corresponding groove.
17.5 Mount the pressure cap (see Chapter 14.).
