designed and manufactured to give you years of trouble free service at home and when
travelling! Please take time to read these instructions prior to use - they have been
written to ensure you get the very best from your purchase.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Please retain these instructions for future reference. Only use the appliance as described
in this manual to avoid fire or electric shock. Do not use the appliance for any purpose
other than that for which it is designed.
When using electrical appliances basic safety precautions should always be followed.
Check that the voltage indicated on the rating plate corresponds with that of the local
network before connecting the appliance to the mains power supply. This product
complies with all binding CE labelling directives.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a qualified engineer in order to
avoid a hazard. Ensure that the supply cord is kept away from heat or sharp edges that
could cause damage.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience or knowledge, unless they
have been given supervision and instruction in the use of the appliance by a person
responsible for their safety. Do not leave the appliance unattended whilst connected to
the mains power supply. Children should be supervised to ensure they never play with
the appliance.
Caution: Keep any packaging materials well away from children — these are a potential
source of danger, e.g. of suocation.
Do not allow the appliance or its power cord to touch hot surfaces or to come into
contact with any heat sources. When removing the plug from the wall socket, never pull
on the power cord. Do not let the power cord hang free.
To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not clean the base with liquids or immerse it.
This appliance is intended for use in domestic settings only.
Always remove the plug from the wall socket before assembling, disassembling the
appliance and before cleaning.

Carefully unpack all parts of the juicer including those in the polystyrene packaging
Before the juicer is used for the first time, it must be Cleaned as described in the section
Cleaning and care.
1. Fit the drive stem onto the drive shaft on the base. Close the lid; ensure that it is
heard locking into place. All parts must be bone dry.
2. Fit the juice container so that the ▼ and open padlock marks are aligned.
3. Fold the juice outlet up.
4. Lock the juice container by turning it clockwise, so that the ▼ and closed padlock
symbols are aligned and the juice container is heard locking into place. If the juice
container turns during operation, it is not properly locked. In that case, switch the
appliance o, lock the container properly and then continue.
5. Fit the pulp sieve onto the juice container.
6. Fit the juicer dome over the pulp sieve and onto the drive shaft.
7. Fit the lid insert into the lid and push it firmly down until it clicks.
8. Push the hinge opener on the juice container down and fit the lid into the hinge.
9. Place a suitable container under the juice outlet and fold the outlet down. There is a
power-cord storage compartment in the base.
10. Connect the appliance to the mains. The juicer is now ready for use.

1. Cut the citrus fruit in half and place one of the halves onto the dome with the cut
section facing downwards.
2. Close the lid; ensure that it is heard locking into place.
3. Use the On/O switch to turn the appliance on. A beep-signal is heard and the
‘Start’ button lights up.
4. Push the ‘Start’ button until you hear a beep-signal.
5. The fruit is now pushed up, juice is extracted and the fruit is lowered again, the juice
being collected in the container.
6. Wait until the motor has come to a complete standstill. Now the lid can be opened,
the fruit residue removed and a new piece of fruit put on the dome.
7. When processing larger quantities of fruit, the pulp sieve must be emptied from time
to time as necessary.
8. When extracting juice from larger fruit (e.g. grapefruit), ensure that the Max marking
is not exceeded — the juice outlet must be folded down early enough.
9. After use, fold the juice outlet up and switch the appliance o.
10. Remove the plug from the wall outlet and clean the appliance. There is a power-cord
storage compartment in the base.

Clean all detachable parts with hot water and a mild detergent immediately after use.
We do not advise using a dishwasher. This juicer has been designed to be used
for years. Heat from a dishwasher can warp plastic parts and shorten the life of
this appliance. Please hand wash this juicer.

PLUG SAFETY
The appliance is fitted with a 13 amp plug. In the event of having to change the fuse in the plug
supplied, a 13 amp ASTA approved (BS 1363) fuse must be used. Should the plug need to be
replaced for any reason, proceed as described below. The wires in the mains lead are coloured in
accordance with the following code: The wire coloured green and yellow must be connected to the
terminal marked with the letter “E” or by the Earth symbol or coloured green and yellow. Under no
circumstances should either the Neutral or Live be connected to the earth terminal
The wire coloured blue or black must be connected to the terminal “N”. Under no circumstances
should either the Earth or Live be connected to the Neutral terminal. Under no circumstances should
either the Earth or Neutral be connected to the Live terminal. Upon completion there must be no cut,
or stray strands of wire present and the cord clamp must be secure over the outer sheath. If in doubt
please contact a qualified engineer for advice.
If your appliance is supplied with a non-rewireable plug fitted to the mains lead and should the fuse
need replacing, you must use an ATSTA approved one (comforming to BS1362) of the same rating. If
in doubt, consult a qualified electrician. If you need to remove the plug – DISCONNECT IT FROM THE
MAINS and then cut o the mains lead and immediately dispose of it safely. Never attempt to re-use
the plug or insert it in a socket outlet as there is a danger of an electric shock.
CORRECT DISPOSAL OF THIS PRODUCT

This marking on the product, accessories or literature indicates that the product and its electronic
accessories should not be disposed of with other household waste at the end of their working life.
To prevent possible harm to the environment or human health from uncontrolled waste disposal,
please separate these items from other types of waste and recycle them responsibly to promote the
sustainable reuse of material resources. Household users should contact either the retailer where they
purchased this product, or their local government oce, for details of where and how they can take
these items for environmentally safe recycling. Business users should contact their
supplier and check the terms and conditions of the purchase contract. This product
and its electronic accessories should not be mixed with other commercial wastes for
disposal.

GUARANTEE
This guarantee is applicable for goods bought directly from Fridja. If you purchased your
juicer from another vendor please contact them.
If by chance you are unhappy with your purchase, please contact us within seven days of
delivery for a refund. Returned items must be in unused condition with all supplied Fridja
accessories and packaging. You are responsible for the condition of your goods until
they reach us, so pack your items carefully to prevent damage in transit. Worn, damaged
or incomplete returns will not be eligible for a refund and will be returned to you.
All our goods are supplied with a 12 month warranty from the date of purchase, covering
defects in materials and workmanship under conditions of normal use and maintenance.
If your goods develop a fault within this period, we will repair or replace the item. If we
cannot do this we will refund your actual purchase price. If goods become defective
within three months of delivery, we will pay for collection of the items and delivery of
the replacement. After this time, we will not pay to collect items. In the unlikely event
that your goods arrive damaged, please inform us within 24 hours of delivery, including
photos of the damage. The claim will be assessed, and if approved we will arrange for
the goods to be collected and we will replace or refund as necessary.
It is your responsibility to securely package items for their safe return to us using a
trackable service. Not doing so will void your warranty.
This guarantee is subject to the following provisions:
• The product must be correctly installed and operated in accordance with the
instructions contained in these operating instructions.
• This guarantee does not cover accidental damage or misuse.
• This guarantee will be rendered invalid if the product is resold or has been
damaged by inexpert repairs. The manufacturers disclaim any liability for incidental
or consequential damages.
This guarantee is in addition to, and does not diminish, your statutory or legal rights.
