Our product provide a safety information and voyage data during navigation. All mes-
sage and data processing is from AIS transceiver.
FT-8800 AIS is fully compliant with IMO GMDSS regulation and easy operation including
sound and light alarm function, its a very safe amd reliable product.

■INTRODUCTION
FT-8800 is a AIS (Automatic Identication System) ship’s terminal operation system pro-
vide voyage data and message from ship to ship or ship to shore. Its compliant with
A.694(17), IEC62287-1 2006-03 standard requirement and fully matched GMDSS & IMO
rules.
FT-8800 consist of transceiver unit,control unit,display unit, VHF & GPS antenna. Trans-
ceiver unit including VHF Tx×1, TDMA Rx ×2, channel1 to DSC×1, interface port and built
in GPS Rx.

7. ANTENNA INSTALLATION
■VHF ANTENNA
The antenna position is very important that will minimize radio interference and
good for a long distance communication.Please follow below instruction:
yVHF antenna must install in vertical position and have to avoid any other metal
objects at least 0.5m also make sure no block at 360°surrounding area.
yMust be away radar,SSB and other radio antenna 3m or above
yTwo VHF antenna can not install at the same horizontal line within 10m range
should be installed in dierent level position at least 2.5m
yWater proof is needed for cable plug connect
yBelow picture is for your reference.

The GPS antenna is not necessary in higher position but have to make sure no ob-
ject block at 360°surrounding area.
