1.High Risk Activity
The Customer acknowledges and agrees that the Product is designed, developed
and manufactured as contemplated for general use, including without limitation,
general office use, personal use, household use, and ordinary industrial use, but is
not designed, developed and manufactured as contemplated for use
accompanying fatal risks or dangers that, unless extremely high safety is secured,
could lead directly to death, personal injury, severe physical damage or other loss
(hereinafter "High Safety Required Use"), including without limitation, nuclear

1Product Overview
The FUJITSU PSWITCH has three different models depending on their port type. The
FUJITSU PSWITCH 2048T is a model with forty-eight 10GbE BASE-T ports and six
40GbE QSFP ports. The FUJITSU PSWITCH 2048P is a model with forty-eight 10GbE
SFP+ ports and six 40GbE QSFP ports. The FUJITSU PSWITCH 4032P is a model with
thirty-two 40GbE QSFP ports.

The micro USB console port and the reset button on the front side of
FUJITSU PSWITCH 2048T are not intended to be used by customer. Please
do not use those interfaces. In FUJITSU PSWITCH 2048T, a seal which is the
same color(black) as the main body of the switch is pasted to cover those
ports.

The two power supply units mounted on this switch are designed to provide
1+1 redundancy, and hot-pluggable. The three fan trays (2 fans per tray) on
the rear side are not redundant and not hot-pluggable.

2Getting Started with Configuration
2.1. Mounting
Install this unit in a standard 19-inch rack. Install from the back of the rack. Follow
the procedure below to install the equipment.
When carrying out maintenance support by our technical experts, prepare
with reference to the contents of Chapter 4 "Maintenance" - "4.1.
Preparation".
2.1.1. Rack Mounting
Please pay attention to the following points before installation work.
Do not place another device on the rack mounted device.
Be careful not to exceed the limit of the power supply of rackmounted
equipment.
Be careful to ensure that the rack mounted equipment is properly insulated.
2.1.1.1. Installation of L-shaped brackets and rack rails
Attach the L-shaped brackets to the front of the server as shown in the figure below.
Please attach so that the L shape brackets with model name and number label
attached is on the left side of the front side of the equipment. For each L-shaped
bracket, attach it by using 2 screws for PSWITCH 2048T/P and 3 screws for PSWITCH
4032P. Release and detach the inner member from the slide. Attach the inner
member to the unit.

2.1.1.2. Rack Mounting
Insert this device from the rear side of the rack.
You can see the unit label on the L-shaped bracket from the rear side of
the rack.

1. Attach the outer rail of the rack rail to the rack.

2. Insert the unit onto the rack.
To reduce the weight of the device, remove the both power supply units
form the device.
Then, insert the inner rail into the outer rail and mount the device in the rack.

2.1.2. Attachment of Power Supply Unit
Please insert the both two power supply units(PSUs).
2.1.3. Inserting of SFP modules
Install the modules required for SFP+ slot and QSFP slot.

Please install SFP+/QSFP modules according to the following procedure.
1. Select the appropriate SFP+/QSFP module according to your requirements.
2. Refer to the above figure and insert the module so that the connector face
faces down.
3. Insert the module tightly until it is fixed.
SFP+/QSFP modules can be hot swapped. It is not necessary to turn off the
unit when inserting or removing a module. However, when inserting or
removing a module, unplug the network cable from the module
beforehand.
SFP+/QSFP modules are not included with the switch.
2.1.4. Connection to a Power Source
Plug the power cable’s plug into the power socket of the PSU. Plug the other end of
the cable into a grounded, 3-pin, AC power source. In the same way, connect the
other power cable into the other PSU.
