Required Cleaning Supplies
The required cleaning supplies include:
Isopropyl Alcohol (I.P.A.) 99% or greater
Cotton Swabs
Lint-free Cleaning Cloth
Compressed Air
(Optional) Cleaning Card (for use with alternative cleaning card method)

Routine Cleaning Method
Use these procedures for routine cleaning of the Paper Path.
1. Use compressed air to blow out any excessive dust
and dirt in the presenter compartment, including the
Presenter Rollers and Ticket Taken sensor, etc.
2. Position the compressed air nozzle within the
Paper Loading Slot to blow out any excessive dust
and dirt from the Paper Out (Black Index Mark)
sensor (not visible).

The position of the compressed air nozzle is
approximately 1 inch from the right side of printer.

Manual Cleaning (Print Head, Platen Roller, Presenter Roller)
Use these procedures for manual cleaning. Otherwise, if the printer is still, for example, in a
game and powered, and you have a cleaning card, use the procedures in Alternative Cleaning
Card Method on page 4.
!!WARNING!! You must pull open the
Platen Release Lever before cleaning
the Print Head and Platen Roller.
1. Use a 99% I.P.A., dampen, clean Cotton Swab to
clean across the Print Head.
Note: Only use a clean Cotton Swab on the
Print Head. Do not use a cleaning cloth.
2. Dampen a lint-free Cleaning Cloth with 99% I.P.A.
3. Wipe the exposed Platen Roller with the Cleaning Cloth.
4. Rotate the Platen Roller and repeat step 3 until the
entire roller is clean.
5. Push the Platen Release Lever back into position.
6. Dampen a lint-free Cleaning Cloth with 99% I.P.A.
7. Wipe the Presenter Rollers with the Cleaning Cloth.
8. Rotate the Presenter Rollers and repeat step 7 until
both rollers are clean.

Alternative Cleaning Card Method
Use these procedures if the printer still has power and you have a cleaning card. Otherwise,
see Manual Cleaning (Print Head, Platen Roller, Presenter Roller) on page 2.
1. (Optional) Confirm that the printer has power.
2. Remove the Cleaning Card from the packaging.
3. Load the Cleaning Card into the Paper Loading Slot.

4. Press the FEED button on the keypad.
5. Remove the cleaning card.
6. If cleaning card does not exit, open the lid.
Note: Some Cleaning Cards may not
feed through the Presenter Rollers.
7. Manually pull out the Cleaning Card.
8. Dampen a lint-free Cleaning Cloth with 99% I.P.A.
9. Wipe the Presenter Rollers with the Cleaning Cloth.
10. Rotate the Presenter Rollers and repeat step 9 until
both rollers are clean.

Sensor Cleaning (Ticket Taken, Lid Open, Paper Low)
Use these procedures to clean the printer sensors.
Note: Only use a 99% I.P.A., dampen,
clean Cotton Swab on the Sensors.
1. Clean the Ticket Taken Sensor.
2. (For New style Paper Low Sensor) Clean the
upper and lower portions.
3. Clean the Printer Open Sensor.
Note: Allow all cleaned areas to dry prior to
operation. If faults still persist, contact technical
(Old Style Paper Low Sensor)
