passed through our extensive quality assurance
process. Every care has been taken to ensure that it
reaches you in perfect condition.
SAFETY FIRST
Before attempting to operate this power tool the
following basic safety precautions should always be
taken to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and
personal injury. It is important to read the instruction
manual to understand the application, limitations and
potential hazards associated with this tool.
CERTIFICATE OF GUARANTEE
This product is guaranteed for a period of 2 Years,
with effect from the date of purchase and applies only
to the original purchaser. This guarantee only applies
to defects arising from, defective materials and or
faulty workmanship that become evident during the
guarantee period only and does not include
consumable items. The manufacturer will repair or
replace the product at their discretion subject to the
following. That the product has been used in
accordance with the guide lines as detailed in the
product manual and that it has not been
subjected to misuse, abuse or used for a purpose for
which it was not intended. That it has not been taken
apart or tampered with in any way whatsoever or has
been serviced by unauthorised persons or has been
used for hire purposes. Transit damage is excluded
from this guarantee, for such damage the transport
company is responsible. Claims made under this
guarantee must be made in the first instance, directly
to the retailer within the guarantee period. Only under
exceptional circumstances should the product be
returned to the manufacturer. In these case it shall be
the consumer’s responsibility to return the product at
their cost ensuring that the product is adequately
packed to prevent transit damage and must be
accompanied with a brief description of the fault and
a copy of the receipt or other proof of purchase. The
manufacturer shall not be liable for any special,
exemplary, direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential
loss or damage under this guarantee. This guarantee
is in addition to and does not affect any rights, which
the consumer may have by virtue of the Sale of Goods
Act 1973 as amended 1975 and 1999.

your statutory rights.
PRODUCT DISPOSAL
When this product reaches the end of it’s life or is
disposed of for any other reason, it must not be
disposed of in household waste. In order to preserve
natural resources, and to minimise adverse
environmental impact, please recycle or dispose of
this product in an environmentally friendly way. It
should be taken to your local waste recycling centre
or other authorised collection and disposal facility.
If in doubt consult your local waste authority for
information regarding available recycling and / or
disposal options.

This product is specifically designed to work with the
FXA XCLICK range of batteries and charger.
SPECIFIC SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Warning! Two Handed Operation Required
This machine requires the use of two hands to ensure
safe operation and should not be used when working
from ladders and step ladders. If the machine is to be
used when working at height a suitable, stable
platform or scaffold tower with hand rails and kick
boards should be used.
Warning! Some wood and wood type products,
especially MDF (Medium Density Fibreboard), can
produce dust that can be hazardous to your health.
We recommend the use of an approved face mask
with replaceable filters when using this machine in
addition to using the dust extraction facility.
Danger! Keep hands away from cutting area and
blade. Keep your second hand on auxiliary handle, or
motor housing. If both hands are holding the saw,
they cannot be cut by the blade.
Do not reach underneath the workpiece. The guard
cannot protect you from the blade below the
workpiece.
Adjust the cutting depth to the thickness of the
workpiece. Less than a full tooth of the blade teeth
should be visible below the workpiece.
Never hold the piece being cut in your hands or
across your leg. Secure the workpiece to a stable
platform. It is important to support the work properly
to minimize body exposure, blade binding, or loss of
control.

When ripping, always use a rip fence or straight edge
guide. This improves the accuracy of cut and reduces
the chance of the blade binding.
Always use blades with correct size and shape
(diamond versus round) of arbour holes. Blades that
do not match the mounting hardware of the saw will
run eccentrically, causing loss of control.

Never use damaged or incorrect blade washers or
bolt. The blade washers and bolt were specially
designed for your saw, for optimum performance and
safety of operation.
CAUSES & OPERATOR PREVENTION OF
KICKBACK
Kickback is a sudden reaction to a pinched, bound or
misaligned saw blade, causing an uncontrolled saw to
lift up and out of the workpiece toward the operator.
When the blade is pinched or bound tightly by the kerf
closing down, the blade stalls and the motor reaction
drives the unit rapidly back toward the operator.
If the blade becomes twisted or misaligned in the cut,
the teeth at the back edge of the blade can dig into
the top surface of the wood causing the blade to
climb out of the kerf and jump back toward operator.
Kickback is the result of tool misuse and/or incorrect
operating procedures or conditions and can be
avoided by taking proper precautions as given below.
Maintain a firm grip with both hands on the saw and
position your arms to resist kickback forces. Position
your body to either side of the blade, but not in line
with the blade. Kickback could cause the saw to jump
backwards, but kickback forces can be controlled by
the operator, if proper precautions are taken.
When blade is binding, or when interrupting a cut for
any reason, release the trigger and hold the saw
motionless in the material until the blade comes to a
complete stop. Never attempt to remove the saw from
the work or pull the saw backward while the blade is
in motion or kickback may occur. Investigate and take
corrective actions to eliminate the cause of blade
binding.
When restarting a saw in the workpiece, centre the
saw blade in the kerf and check that the saw teeth are
not engaged into the material. if saw blade is binding,
it may walk up or kick back from the workpiece as the
saw is restarted.
Support large panels to minimise the risk of blade
pinching and kickback. Large panels tend to sag
under their own weight. Supports must be placed
under the panel on both sides, near the line of cut and
near the edge of the panel.
Do not use dull or damaged blades. Unsharpened or
improperly set blades produce a narrow kerf causing
excessive friction, blade binding and kickback.
Blade depth and bevel adjusting locking levers must
be tight and secure before making a cut. If blade
adjustment shifts while cutting, it may cause binding
and kickback.
Use extra caution when making a “plunge cut” into
existing walls or other blind areas. The protruding
blade may cut objects that can cause kickback.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS REGARDING LOWER
GUARD
Check lower guard for proper closing before each
use. Do not operate the saw if the lower guard does
not move freely and close instantly. Never clamp or tie
the lower guard in the open position. If the saw is
accidentally dropped, lower guard may be bent. Raise
the lower guard with the blade guard lever and make
sure it moves freely and does not touch the blade or
any other part, in all angles and depths of cut.
Check the operation of the lower guard spring. If the
guard and the spring are not operating properly, they
must be serviced before use. Lower guard may
operate sluggishly due to damaged parts, gummy
deposits, or a build-up of debris.
Lower guard should be retracted manually only for
special cuts such as “plunge cuts” and “compound
cuts”. Raise lower guard by blade guard lever. As
soon as blade enters the material, the lower guard
must be released. For all other sawing tasks, the
lower guard should operate automatically.
Always observe that the lower guard is covering the
blade before placing the saw down on bench or floor.
An unprotected, coasting blade will cause the saw to
walk backward, cutting whatever is in its path.
Be aware of the time it takes for the blade to stop
after the switch is released.
WARNINGS

When operating the saw, use safety equipment
including safety goggles or shield, ear protection, dust
mask and protective clothing including safety gloves.
Do not use this saw to cut firewood.
Ensure that the lighting is adequate.
Keep the area free of tripping hazards.
Do not let anyone under the age of 18 years operate
this saw.
Always stand to one side when operating the saw.

Never use a cracked or distorted saw blade. Only use
sharp blades.
When cutting round wood, use clamps that prevent
the work piece from turning on both sides of the
blade.
Never use your hands to remove sawdust, chips or
waste close by the blade.
Use only blades as recommended.
Do not use blades of igh Speed Steel ( SS blades)
Rags, cloths, cord and string and the like should
never be left around the work area.
Avoid cutting nails. Inspect the work piece and
remove all nails and other foreign objects before
beginning sawing.
Support the work properly.
Never reach over the blade to remove waste or off
cuts.
Do not attempt to free a jammed blade before first
switching off the machine.
Do not slow or stop a blade with a piece of wood. Let
the blade come to rest naturally.
If you are interrupted when operating the saw,
complete the process and switch off before looking
up.
Periodically check that all nuts, bolts and other fixings
are properly tightened.
Do not store materials or equipment above a machine
in such a way that they could fall into it.
Never saw near combustible liquids or gases.
Note the direction of rotation of the motor and the
blade.
Do not lock the movable guard in the open position
and always ensure that it is working properly, freely
rotating and returning to fully cover the teeth of the
blade.
Do not use any abrasive wheel unless the machine is
designed for that purpose.
The tool must be used only for its prescribed purpose.
Any use other than those mentioned in this Manual
will be considered a case of misuse. The user and not
the manufacturer shall be liable for any damage or
injury resulting from such cases of misuse.
The manufacturer shall not be liable for any changes
made to the tool nor for any damage resulting from
such changes.
Even when the tool is used as prescribed it is not
possible to eliminate all residual risk factors.
The following hazards may arise in connection
with the tool’s construction and design:
Contact with the blade.
Kickback of workpiece and parts of workpiece.
Blade fracture
Catapulting of blade pieces.
Damage to hearing if effective ear defenders are not
worn.

ADDITIONAL SAFETY RULES CHARGERS
1. Before using the charger, read all the instructions
and cautionary markings on the charger and battery
pack as well as the instructions on using the battery
pack.
2. Only charge your batteries indoors as the charger is
designed for indoor use only.
3. DANGER! If the battery pack is cracked or
damaged in any other way, do not insert it in the
charger. There is a danger of electric shock or
electrocution.
4. WARNING! Do not allow any liquid to come into
contact with the charger. There is a danger of electric
shock.
5. The charger and battery packs supplied with it are
specifically designed to work together. Do not attempt
to charge the battery pack with any other charger than
the one supplied.
6. Do not pull on the power cord to disconnect it from
the mains supply socket.
7. Do not use the charger if it has been subjected to a
heavy knock, dropped or otherwise damaged in any
way. Take the charger to an authorised service centre
for a check or repair.
8. Do not disassemble the charger. Take it to an
authorised service centre when service or repair is
required. Incorrect re-assembly may result in the risk
of fire, electric shock or electrocution.
9. To reduce the risk of an electric shock, unplug the
charger from the power supply before attempting to
clean it. Removing the battery alone does not reduce
the risk.
ADDITIONAL SAFETY RULES FOR THE BATTERY
PACK
1. The battery pack for this tool has been shipped in a
low charge condition. You should charge the battery
pack fully before use.
2. Do not incinerate the battery pack even if it is
seriously damaged or can no longer hold a charge.
The battery pack can explode in a fire.

3. A small leakage of liquid from the battery pack may
occur under extreme usage or temperature conditions.
This does not necessarily indicate a failure of the
battery pack. owever, if the outer seal is broken and
this leakage comes into contact with your skin wash
the affected area quickly with soap and water. If the
leakage gets in your eyes flush your eyes with clean
water for a minimum of 10 minutes and seek
immediate medical attention.
Inform the medical staff that the liquid is a 25-35%
solution of potassium hydroxide.
4. Never attempt to open the battery pack for any
reason. If the plastic housing of the battery pack
breaks open or cracks, immediately discontinue its
use and do not recharge it.
5. Do not store or carry a spare battery pack in a
pocket or toolbox or any other place where it may
come into contact with metal objects. The battery
pack may be short- circuited causing damage to the
battery pack, burns or a fire.
BATTERY CHARGING INFORMATION
Charging rates for NiCad and/or Li-Ion NiCad and/or
Li-Ion battery charging rates are determined by the
time taken to fully charge the battery and are
determined by the charge current. The three most
commonly used charging rates are typically:
Fast charge.
Slow charge.
Trickle charge.
FAST CHARGE BATTERIES
The charging rates for fast charge batteries can vary
between 30 minutes and 90 minutes. The charging
rate for the battery supplied with a cordless power
tool is stated in the product manual.
SLOW CHARGE BATTERY
The charging rates for slow charge batteries are
between 3 hours and 5 hours..
TRICKLE CHARGE BATTERIES
The charging rates for trickle charge batteries are
between 7 hours and 9 hours.
IMPORTANT!
NICAD AND/OR LI-ION BATTERY CHARGING
INFORMATION.
ALWAYS FULLY DISCHARGE A NiCad and/or Li-
Ion BATTERY BEFORE CHARGING AND NEVER
EXCEED THE CHARGING RATE TIME, EXCEPT
WHEN “CONDITIONING” A NEW BATTERY.
CHARGING PROCEDURE
When charging a new NiCad and/or Li-Ion battery it
should be fully discharged followed by a full charge
for the charging rate for the battery as stated in the
product manual plus 30 minutes. This should then be
followed by a full discharge and a further full charge
for the charging rate for the battery as stated in the
product manual plus 30 minutes. This procedure will
condition the battery and equalise the cell voltages.
Following this procedure will ensure the optimum
operation of the battery.
When repeatedly using the charger to charge a
number of batteries always allow the charger to cool
down before charging another battery. It is
recommended that the cooling down period is not
less than 30 to 45 minutes.
When charging a battery that has been discharged
during heavy use allow the battery to cool down
before charging. It is recommended that the cooling
down period is not less than 30 to 45 minutes.
NICAD AND/OR LI-ION CHARGING & CHARGERS
NiCad and/or Li-Ion batteries need to be recharged
with a reasonable amount of care, largely because
they can be damaged by overcharging.
Overcharging can result in the battery temperature
and internal pressure to rise rapidly. This can cause
the cells to distort and lose electrolyte, and in extreme
cases where the internal pressure is extremely high
they can even explode.
This situation can also arise when an overcharged
battery is fitted to the product and is being used. In
order to avoid this extreme situation it is of vital
importance that NiCad and/or Li-Ion batteries are fully
discharged before charging and that the charge time
is not exceeded except when “Conditioning” a new
battery. Repeated charging of partially discharged
batteries could cause failure of one or more of the
cells.
SELF DISCHARGE
A lithium battery can self discharge and lose its stored
charge. Typically it can lose approximately 5% of its
charge in the first month after fully charging (when
stored at room temperature), and then loses it by a
further 3% per month. When stored at higher
temperatures the self discharge rate will be
accelerated.
BATTERY CHARGING INDOORS
This charger is designed to be used indoors. We do
not recommend that it is used inside your home.
Ideally batteries should be charged on a bench in a
workshop, garage or shed. If the charging operation is
to be carried out in your home the area must be well
ventilated and the charger must be placed on a non
combustible surface ensuring that the ventilation slots
are not blocked. Never exceed the charging time
except when “Conditioning” a new battery, as this
could damage the battery and charger.
BATTERY DISPOSAL
When the battery fails to charge or maintain its
charge, its usable life is exhausted. To preserve
natural resources, please recycle or dispose of the
battery pack properly. This battery pack contains
nickel-cadmium cells.

Before disposal ensure that the battery pack is fully
discharged by operating your cordless product then
remove the battery pack from the drill housing and
cover the battery pack connections with heavy duty
tape, to prevent short circuit and energy discharge
which could result in a fire. Do not attempt to open or
remove any of the components.
Consult your local waste authority for information
regarding available recycling and / or disposal
options.
SPECIFIC SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
RE-CHARGEABLE BATTERIES.
Batteries may leak or explode if not charged or
handled correctly. Always observe the following
precautions when handling batteries. Ensure that the
machine is switched off before removing or fitting
batteries.
Do not use this battery with any other product.
Do not attempt to fit the battery the wrong way round.
Do not short out, or attempt to dismantle the battery.
Do not expose the battery to flames or excessive
heat.
Do not immerse in or expose the battery to water.
Do not store or transport the battery with loose metal
objects such drill and driver bits.
Batteries are prone to leakage when discharged. To
avoid damage to the product, remove or
re-charge the battery when no charge remains. Store
the battery in a cool place when not in use.
After prolonged use the battery may become hot.
Before removing the battery, switch the machine off
and allow the battery to cool down. Do not use the
battery if you notice any discoloration or distortion of
the battery casing.
GENERAL SAFETY RULES
WARNING! Read all instructions Failure to follow all
instructions listed below may result in electric shock,
fire and/or serious injury. The term "power tool" in all
of the warnings listed below refers to your mains
operated (corded) power tool or battery operated
(cordless) power tool.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
1) WORK AREA
a) Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered and
dark areas invite accidents.
b) Do not operate power tools in explosive
atmospheres, such as in the presence of
flammable liquids, gases or dust. Power tools
create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes.
c) Keep children and bystanders away while
operating a power tool. Distractions can cause you
to lose control.
2) ELECTRICAL SAFETY
a) Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never
modify the plug in any way. Do not use any
adapter plugs with earthed (grounded) power
tools. Unmodified plugs and matching outlets will
reduce risk of electric shock.
b) Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded
surfaces such as pipes, radiators, ranges and
refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric
shock if your body is earthed or grounded.
c) Do not expose power tools to rain or wet
conditions. Water entering a power tool will
increase the risk of electric shock.
d) Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for
carrying, pulling or unplugging the power tool.
Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or
moving parts. Damaged or entangled cords
increase the risk of electric shock.
e) When operating a power tool outdoors, use an
extension cord suitable for outdoor use. Use of a
cord suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of
electric shock.
3) PERSONAL SAFETY
a) Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use
common sense when operating a power tool. Do
not use a power tool while you are tired or under
the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication.
A moment of inattention while operating power
tools may result in serious personal injury.
b) Use safety equipment. Always wear eye
protection. Safety equipment such as dust mask,
non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing
protection used for appropriate conditions will
reduce personal injuries.
c) Avoid accidental starting. Ensure the switch is in
the off position before plugging in. Carrying power
tools with your finger on the switch or plugging in
power tools that have the switch on invites
accidents.
d) Remove any adjusting key or wrench before
turning the power tool on.
A wrench or a key left attached to a rotating part
of the power tool may result in personal injury.
e) Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and
balance at all times. This enables better control of
the power tool in unexpected situations.
f) Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or
jewellery. Keep your hair, clothing and gloves
away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery
or long hair can be caught in moving parts.
g) If devices are provided for the connection of dust
extraction and collection facilities, ensure these
are connected and properly used. Use of these
devices can reduce dust related hazards.

4) POWER TOOL USE AND CARE
a) Do not force the power tool. Use the correct
power tool for your application. The correct power
tool will do the job better and safer at the rate for
which it was designed.
b) Do not use the power tool if the switch does not
turn it on and off. Any power tool that cannot be
controlled with the switch is dangerous and must
be repaired.
c) Disconnect the plug from the power source before
making any adjustments, changing accessories, or
storing power tools. Such preventive safety
measures reduce the risk of starting the power
tool accidentally.
d) Store idle power tools out of the reach of children
and do not allow persons unfamiliar with the
power tool or these instructions to operate the
power tool. Power tools are dangerous in the
hands of untrained users.
e) Maintain power tools. Check for misalignment or
binding of moving parts, breakage of parts and
any other condition that may affect the power
tools operation. If damaged, have the power tool
repaired before use. Many accidents are caused
by poorly maintained power tools.
f) Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly
maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges
are less likely to bind and are easier to control.
g) Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc.,
in accordance with these instructions and in the
manner intended for the particular type of power
tool, taking into account the working conditions
and the work to be performed. Use of the power
tool for operations different from intended could
result in a hazardous situation.
5) BATTERY TOOL USE AND CARE
a) Recharge only with the charger specified by the
manufacturer. A charger that is suitable for one
type of battery pack may create a risk of fire when
used with another battery pack.
b) Use power tools only with specifically designated
battery packs. Use of any other battery packs may
create a risk of injury and fire.
c) When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from
other metal objects, like paper clips, coins, keys,
nails, screws or other small metal objects, that can
make a connection from one terminal to another.
Shorting the battery terminals together may cause
burns or a fire.
d) Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected
from the battery; avoid contact. If contact
accidentally occurs, flush with water. If liquid
contacts eyes, additionally seek medical help.
Liquid ejected from the battery may cause irritation
or burns.
6) SERVICE
a) ave your power tool serviced by a qualified repair
person using only identical replacement parts. This
will ensure that the safety of the power tool is
maintained.
COMPONENTS & CONTROLS (FIG.1)
UNPACKING
Caution! This packaging contains sharp objects. Take
care when unpacking. Remove the machine, together
with the accessories supplied, from the packaging.
Check carefully to ensure that the machine is in good
condition and account for all the accessories listed in
this manual.
Also make sure that all the accessories are complete.
If any parts are found to be missing, the machine and
its accessories should be returned together in their
original packaging to the retailer.
Do not throw the packaging away, keep it safe
throughout the guarantee period, then recycle if
possible, otherwise dispose of it by the proper means.
Do not let children play with empty plastic bags due
to the risk of suffocation.

CHARGE STATUS
To display the amount of charge left in the battery,
press the charge level indicator button, Fig.2.
CHARGING THE BATTERY PACK
Warning! Only charge in compatible 18V chargers.
Use of other chargers may result in fire, damage or
serious personal injury.
The battery pack for this tool has been shipped in a
low charge condition to prevent possible problems.
Therefore, you should charge it until the green LED on
the front right hand side of the charger comes on.
Note: Batteries will not reach full charge the first time
they are charged. Allow several cycles (operation
followed by recharging) for them to become fully
charged.
First read the safety instructions then follow the
charging instructions.
Plug the charger into a standard 230V~50 z mains
socket outlet, the green LED on the front left hand
side of the charger will illuminate.
Do not allow the cable to become knotted or kinked.
Place the battery pack into the charger base.
(Note the battery has raised ribs which allows it to fit
into the charger only one way). Time the charge for 60
minutes only.
The red LED on the front right hand side of the
charger will illuminate to indicate charging is in
progress. A green LED will illuminate when the battery
is fully charged.
Unplug the charger when not in use and store it in a
suitable storage cabinet.
Avoid charging your battery in freezing conditions as
charging power will not be sufficient.
When charging more than one battery pack in
succession allow at least 30 minutes for the charger
to cool down before charging an additional battery.
Always remove the battery pack and store it safely
when the tool is not in use.
Caution: If at any point during the charging process
none of the LEDs are lit, remove the battery pack from
the charger to avoid damaging the product. DO NOT
insert another battery.
ASSEMBLY
ATTACHING THE BLADE
A 6 1/2 in. blade is the maximum blade capacity of
the saw. Never use a blade that is too thick to allow
outer blade washer to engage with the flats on the
spindle. Larger blades will come in contact with the
blade guard, while thicker blades will prevent blade
screw from securing the blade on the spindle. Either
of these situations could result in a serious accident.
Always remove the battery before installing blades.
The blade is extremely sharp and care must be
observed when handling. Caution must be observed
as the blade guard is spring loaded and if released
may cause an injury. Rotate the blade guard into the
fully open position and secure it in this position using
a screwdriver or piece of wood.
Depress the spindle lock button Fig.3.
CAUTION: To prevent damage to the spindle or
spindle lock, always allow motor to come to a
complete stop before engaging spindle lock.
Remove the blade screw by turning it
counterclockwise with the hex key, while keeping the
spindle lock button depressed Fig.4.
Remove the blade washer noting which way round it
is fitted.
Fit the saw blade inside the lower blade guard and
onto the spindle ensuring that the direction of rotation
arrow on the blade corresponds with the direction of
rotation arrow on the fixed guard arrow Fig.5.
NOTE: The saw teeth point upward at the front of the
saw.
Replace the blade washer. Depress the spindle lock
button, then replace the blade screw. Tighten the
blade screw securely by turning it clockwise.
Note: Check the tightness of the blade securing bolt
before, during and after each use.

Take up the tension on blade guard and remove the
piece of wood or screwdriver that is holding it in the
open position. Slowly release the guard so that it
covers the blade. Check the operation of the blade
guard making sure that it operates correctly. The
operation is complete and your machine is ready for
use.
REMOVING THE BLADE
Remove the battery pack from the saw.
Depress the spindle lock button, and remove the
blade screw by turning it clockwise.
Remove the outer blade washer.
Remove the blade.
ATTACHING THE PARALLEL GUIDE
Before attaching the parallel guide please ensure the
battery is removed from the machine.
Place the parallel guide through the holes in the base
Fig.6.
Adjust the parallel guide to the width needed and then
tighten the parallel guide locking knob making sure
the guide is secure.
Note: Use the parallel guide provided when making
long or wide rip cuts with the saw.
INSTALLING THE BATTERY PACK
Warning! Always remove battery pack from your tool
when you are assembling parts, making adjustments,
cleaning, carrying, transporting or when not in use.
Removing battery pack will prevent accidental starting
that could cause serious personal injury.
NOTE: To avoid serious personal injury, always
remove the battery pack and keep hands clear of the
lock-out button when carrying or transporting the tool.
Slide the battery pack into the tool base, Fig.7. (Note
the battery has raised ribs which allows it to fit into
the pole saw only one way). Make sure the battery
pack snaps into place and that battery pack is
secured in the tool before beginning operation.
Improper installation of the battery pack can cause
damage to internal components.
REMOVING THE BATTERY PACK
Locate the battery release catch on the top of the
battery and press downwards, Fig.8. Whilst holding
down the battery release catch slide the battery pack
away from the tool.
OPERATION
Warning! Before each use always check the operation
of the lower guard before connecting the battery to
the Circular Saw. Do not use the Circular Saw if the
lower guard does not close smoothly over the saw
blade and returns fully to the closed position.
Keep blades clean & sharp.
When handling blades wear gloves.
Keep hands away from the cutting area and blade at
all times. Do not reach underneath the work while the
blade is rotating. Do not attempt to remove cut
material while the blade is moving. Caution: The blade
will continue to rotate for a short period after the
machine is switched off.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Keep guards in place and in good working order at all
times to avoid serious accidents. Support large panels
as shown in Fig.9 to minimize the risk of blade
pinching and kickback.
Fig.10 shows the wrong way to cut large pieces of
wood, cutting in this way will cause serious injury to
the operator. When cutting, the saw should rest on
the larger piece of the material and the smaller piece
cut off. Use the parallel guide or a rip fence at all
times, this will help to prevent side pressure being
exerted on the blade and will also give a straighter
cut.
GUARDING AGAINST KICKBACK
Kickback occurs when the saw stalls rapidly and is
driven back towards the operator. To avoid kick back
keep blades sharp and always support large work
pieces correctly. Release the switch immediately if
blade binds or if the circular saw stalls. Do not remove
the saw from a work piece while the blade is still
moving. Never place your hands or fingers behind or
in front of the saw Fig.11.
If kick back occurs, the saw could jump backwards
over your hand, possibly causing severe injury.
Always lower guard with the retaining handle. Before
cutting be sure that the depth and bevel adjustments
are tight. Use only the correct blades for your power
tool with the correct bore size. Never use defective or
incorrect blade washers or bolts. Avoid cutting nails
by inspecting the work piece, remove all nails from the
work piece before cutting. Operate with the correct
hand and work piece support.
Warning! It is important to support the work piece
properly and to hold the saw firmly to prevent loss of
control which could cause personal injury. Fig.12
illustrates the correct hand positions to support the
saw safely. Place the wider portion of the saw base
on that part of the work piece which is solidly
supported, not on the section that will fall off when the
cut is made. If the work piece is short or small, clamp
it to a suitable support.
Warning! Do not try and hold short pieces by hand.
Fig.13 illustrates the correct way to cut off the end of
a board.
Fig.14 shows the wrong way to cut off the end of a
board.
Never attempt to saw with the Circular Saw held
upside down in a vice this is extremely dangerous and
can lead to a serious accident.

Before setting the tool down after completing a cut,
be sure that the lower guard has closed and the blade
has come to a complete stop.
AD USTMENTS
Caution! Always ensure that the battery is
disconnected from the circular saw before carrying
out any maintenance or adjustments.
DEPTH OF CUT AT 90°
Always keep correct blade depth setting. The correct
blade depth setting for all cuts should not exceed 1/4
in. below the material being cut. More blade depth will
increase the chance of kickback and cause the cut to
be rough. For more depth of cut accuracy, a scale is
located on the upper blade guard.
The Circular Saw has an adjustable depth of cut. To
adjust the depth of cut slacken the lever located on
the side of the machine, Fig.15.
Measure the depth required from the base plate to the
highest point of the blade or use the depth gauge on
the fixed guard, Fig.16.
Tighten the depth adjustment knob securely.
ANGLE OF CUT 0-45°
To adjust the angle of cut between 0-45° slacken the
adjustable angle of cut locking knob, Fig.17.
The base plate assembly will now pivot between 0-
45°. Set the desired cutting angle by using degree
scale at the front of the machine and tighten locking
knobs.
At the front of the base plate there are two notches
marked 0° and 45°. These notches are a guide to
indicate the position of the blade in relation to the cut
being made in the material.
STARTING AND STOPPING
To start the machine, press in the ock-off switch
Fig.18 then depress and ho d in the trigger, Fig.19.
There is no need to ho d the ock-off switch in as it
remains in p ace as ong as the trigger is depressed.
To stop the saw, re ease the trigger, which a ows the
ock-off switch to return to the ocked position. Do not
attempt to jam the ock-off switch.
NOTE: You can depress the ock-off button from either
the eft or right side.
A ways et the b ade reach fu speed, then guide the
saw into the workpiece.
MAINTENANCE
WARNING! Always remove battery pack from your
tool when you are assembling parts, making
adjustments, cleaning, or when not in use. Removing
battery pack will prevent accidental starting that could
cause serious personal injury.
WARNING! When servicing only use identical
replacement parts. Use of any other parts may create
a hazard or cause product damage.
WARNING! Always wear safety goggles or safety
glasses with side shields during power tool operation
or when blowing dust. If operation is dusty, also wear
a dust mask.
GENERAL MAINTENANCE
Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts.
Most plastics are susceptible to damage from various
types of commercial solvents and may be damaged
by their use. Use clean cloths to remove dirt, dust, oil,
grease, etc.
Warning! Do not at any time let brake fluids, gasoline,
petroleum based products, penetrating oils, etc.,
come in contact with plastic parts. Chemicals can
damage, weaken or destroy plastic which may result
in serious personal injury.
Electric tools used on fiberglass material, wallboard,
spackling compounds, or plaster are subject to
accelerated wear and possible premature failure
because the fiberglass chips and grindings are highly
abrasive to bearings, brushes, commutators, etc.
Consequently, we do not recommended using this
tool for extended work on these types of materials.
owever, if you do work with any of these materials, it
is extremely important to clean the tool using
compressed air.
LUBRICATION
All of the bearings in this tool are lubricated with a
sufficient amount of high grade lubricant for the life of
the unit under normal operating conditions. Therefore,
no further lubrication is required.

Säädä sahaussyvyys sahattavan materiaalin
paksuuden mukaan. Työkappaleen alapuolelta saa
näkyä alle hampaan verran sahanterää.
Älä koskaan pidä sahattavaa kappaletta kädessäsi tai
jalkojesi päällä. Kiinnitä työkappale vakaaseen
alustaan. Työkalu on tärkeää tukea asianmukaisesti
keholle aiheutuvien vaarojen, terän kiinnitarttumisen tai
hallinnan menettämisen minimoimiseksi.
Pitele sähkötyökalua eristetystä tartuntapinnasta, kun
suoritat sellaisia toimintoja, joissa leikkuutyökalu voi
joutua kosketuksiin piilossa olevien johtojen tai
työkalun oman virtajohtonsa kanssa. Kosketus
”jännitteiseen” johtoon saattaa myös sähkötyökalun
metalliosat ”jännitteisiksi” ja johtaa sähköiskuun.
Käytä kuituja pitkin sahattaessa aina sahausohjainta
tai suorareunaista ohjainta. Tämä parantaa sahauksen
tarkkuutta ja vähentää terän jumiutumista.
Käytä aina teriä, joissa on oikean kokoiset ja oikean
muotoiset keskiöreiät (pyöreä). Terät, jotka eivät

aiheuttaen hallinnan menetyksen.

TAKAPOTKUN SYYT A ESTÄMINEN:
Takapotku on äkillinen reaktio puristuneeseen, kiinni
tarttuneeseen tai väärin kohdistettuun sahanterään ja
saa aikaan hallitsemattoman sahan nousun ylös
työkappaleesta kohti käyttäjää.
Kun terä on puristuksissa tai tiukasti kiinni tarttuneena
halkaisun sulkeutuessa, terä pysähtyy ja moottorin
reaktio sinkoaa laitteen nopeasti taaksepäin käyttäjää
kohti.
Jos terä vääntyy tai on kohdistettu väärin sahaukseen,
terän takareunan hampaat voivat pureutua puun
yläpintaan saaden aikaan terän nousun halkaisusta ja
hypähdyksen taaksepäin kohti käyttäjää.
Takapotku on seurausta työkalun väärinkäytöstä ja/tai
vääristä toimintamenetelmistä tai olosuhteista, ja se
voidaan välttää tekemällä seuraavassa kuvatut
varotoimet.
Säilytä tiukka ote kahvoista molemmin käsin ja pidä
kätesi asennossa, jossa voit vastustaa
takapotkuvoimia. Pidä vartalosi sahanterän
jommallakummalla puolella, mutta älä terälinjan
kohdalla. Takapotku saattaa aiheuttaa sahan
iskeytymisen taaksepäin, mutta käyttäjä pystyy
hallitsemaan takapotkuvoimat, jos oikeita varotoimia
noudatetaan.
Jos terä on jumiutunut tai sahaus keskeytetään
jostakin syystä, vapauta liipaisin ja pidä saha
paikoillaan materiaalissa, kunnes terä pysähtyy täysin.
Älä koskaan yritä poistaa sahaa työkappaleesta tai
vetää sahaa taaksepäin terän liikkuessa, muutoin voi
seurauksena olla takapotku. Etsi terän jumiutumisen
syy ja tee korjaavat toimenpiteen syyn poistamiseksi.
Kun saha käynnistetään uudelleen työkappaleessa,
aseta terä keskelle halkaisua ja tarkista, että sahan
hampaat eivät ole kiinni materiaalissa. Jos sahan terä
jumiutuu, se voi ponnahtaa ylös tai aiheuttaa
takapotkun työkappaleesta, kun saha käynnistetään
uudelleen.
Tue suuret levyt terän jumiutumis- ja takapotkuriskin
minimoimiseksi. Suuret levyt painuvat helposti kasaan
omasta painostaan. Tuet on asetettava levyn
molemmille sivuille, sahauslinjan ja paneelin reunan
lähelle.
Älä käytä tylsiä tai vaurioituneita teriä.
Teroittamattomat tai väärin asetetut terät aiheuttavat
kapean halkaisun seurauksena liiallista kitkaa, terän
jumiutumisen tai takapotkun.
Terän syvyyden ja vinouden säädön lukitusvipujen on
oltava tiukalla ja kiinnitettyinä ennen sahausta. Jos
terän säätö muuttuu sahauksen aikana, se saattaa
aiheuttaa jumiutumisen tai takapotkun.
Ole erityisen varovainen, kun teet ”pistokatkaisuja”
seiniin tai muihin tuntemattomiin kohteisiin.
Sisääntyöntyvä terä voi osua kohteisiin, jotka
aiheuttavat takapotkun.
TERÄN ALASUO USTA KOSKEVIA
TURVALLISUUSOH EITA
Tarkista alasuojuksen kunnollinen sulkeutuminen
ennen jokaista käyttökertaa. Älä käytä sahaa, jos
alasuojus ei liiku vapaasti tai sulkeudu välittömästi. Älä
koskaan kiinnitä tai sido alasuojusta avoimeen
asentoon. Jos saha putoaa vahingossa, alasuojus voi
taipua. Nosta alasuojus teränsuojuksen vivusta ja
varmista, että se liikkuu vapaasti eikä kosketa terää
eikä muita osia missään kulmassa tai
leikkaussyvyydessä.
Tarkista alasuojuksen jousen toiminta. Jos suojus ja
jousi eivät toimi kunnolla, ne on huollettava ennen
käyttöä. Alasuojuksen toiminta voi hidastua
vaurioituneiden osien, tahmaisen lian tai roskien
kerääntymisen johdosta.
Alasuojus on vedettävä ulos käsin vain
erityissahauksissa kuten ”pistokatkaisu” ja
”yhdistelmäkatkaisut”. Nosta alasuojus teräsuojuksen
vivusta. eti, kun terä koskettaa materiaalia, alasuojus
on vapautettava. Kaikissa muissa sahaustöissä
alasuojuksen pitää antaa toimia automaattisesti.
Tarkista aina, että alasuojus peittää terän ennen sahan
asettamista työpenkille tai lattialle. Suojaamaton,
liukuva terä saa sahan kulkemaan taaksepäin ja
sahaamaan kaiken tielle osuvan.
Muista, että terän pysähtyminen vie jonkin aikaa
kytkimen vapauttamisen jälkeen.
VAROITUKSET
Pidä sähkötyökalua ainoastaan eristetyistä pinnoista
tehdessäsi työtä, jossa kiinnitin saattaisi osua piilossa
olevaan sähköjohtoon. Kiinnittimen kosketus
"jännitteiseen" johtoon tekee myös sähkötyökalun
metalliosat "jännitteisiksi" ja saattaa johtaa
sähköiskuun.
Tunne sähkötyökalusi. Lue käyttöopas huolellisesti.
Opettele sähkötyökalun käyttö ja rajoitukset sekä
siihen liittyvät mahdolliset vaarat. Tämän ohjeen
noudattaminen vähentää sähköiskun, tulipalon tai
vakavan henkilövahingon vaaraa.
Akkutyökaluja ei tarvitse liittää sähköverkkoon. Tästä
syystä ne ovat aina käyttökunnossa. Tiedosta
mahdolliset vaarat, kun käytät akkutyökalua tai vaihdat
varusteita. Tämän ohjeen noudattaminen vähentää
sähköiskun, tulipalon tai vakavan henkilövahingon
vaaraa.
Kun käytät sahaa, käytä suojavarusteita, mukaan
lukien suojalasit tai kasvosuojus, kuulosuojaimet,
hengityssuoja ja suojavaatteet, mukaan lukien
suojakäsineet.
Älä käytä sahaa polttopuun sahaamiseen.
Varmista, että valaistus on riittävä.
Pidä alue vapaana kompastumisia aiheuttavista
kohteista.

Älä anna alle 18-vuotiaiden henkilöiden käyttää sahaa.
Seiso aina sahan sivulla sitä käyttäessäsi.
Älä koskaan käytä murtunutta tai vääntynyttä
sahanterää. Käytä vain teräviä teriä.
Kun katkaiset pyöreitä puita, käytä kiinnittimiä, jotka
estävät puun pyörimisen terän sivulta toiselle.
Älä koskaan puhdista sahanpurua, lastuja tai roskia
käsin terän läheltä.
Käytä vain suositeltuja teriä.
Älä käytä pikateräksestä ( SS) valmistettuja
sahanteriä.
Älä koskaan jätä työskentelyalueelle rättejä, liinoja,
johtoja ja naruja tai muita vastaavia.
Vältä naulojen sahaamista. Tarkasta työkappale ja
poista kaikki naulat ja muut vieraat kohteet ennen
sahaamista.
Tue työkappale kunnolla.
Älä koskaan kumarru terän päälle roskien ja
sahausjätteiden poistamiseksi.
Älä yritä irrottaa jumittunutta terää ennen kuin olet
kytkenyt koneen päältä pois.
Älä hidasta tai pysäytä terää puukappaleella Anna
terän pysähtyä itsekseen.
Jos sinut keskeytetään sahan käytön aikana, tee

vammoista, jotka aiheutuvat tällaisesta väärinkäytöstä.
Valmistaja ei ole vastuussa mistään muutoksista, joita
on tehty työkalulle eikä mistään vahingoista, jotka
johtuvat näistä muutoksista.
Vaikka työkalua käytetään määritetyllä tavalla, ei
kaikkia jäännösriskejä voida koskaan poistaa.

LATUREIDEN LISÄTURVAOH EET
Lue ennen laturin käyttämistä kaikki ohjeet ja laturin ja
akun varoitusmerkinnät sekä myös akun käyttämistä
koskevat ohjeet.
Lataa akkuja vain sisätiloissa, sillä laturi on suunniteltu
vain sisäkäyttöön.
VAARA! Jos akku on murtunut tai jollain tavalla
vaurioitunut, älä laita sitä laturiin. Se aiheuttaa
sähköiskun tai tappavan sähköiskun vaaran.
VAROITUS! Älä päästä laturiin mitään nesteitä. Se
aiheuttaa sähköiskun vaaran.
Laturi ja sen mukana toimitettu akku on varta vasten
valmistettu toimimaan yhdessä. Älä yritä ladata akkua
muilla latureilla kuin laitteen mukana tulevalla.
Älä irrota virtajohtoa pistorasiasta johdosta vetämällä.
Älä käytä laturia, jos siihen on kohdistunut voimakas
isku, se on pudonnut tai vaurioitunut muulla tavalla.
Vie laturi valtuutettuun huoltoliikkeeseen
tarkastettavaksi tai korjattavaksi.
Älä pura laturia. Vie se valtuutettuun huoltoliikkeeseen,
jos se vaatii huoltamista tai korjauksia. Virheellinen
kokoaminen voi aiheuttaa tulipalon, sähköiskun tai
tappavan sähköiskun.
Voit vähentää sähköiskun vaaraa irrottamalla laturin
virtalähteestä, ennen kuin yrität sen puhdistamista.
Yksinään akun poistaminen ei vähennä tätä vaaraa.
AKKUA KOSKEVAT LISÄTURVAOH EET
Työkalun akku toimitetaan alhaisen latauksen tilassa.
Sinun tulee ladata akku täyteen ennen laitteen
käyttämistä.
Älä polta akkua vaikka se olisi pahasti vaurioitunut tai
se ei pitäisi enää varausta. Akku voi räjähtää tulessa.
Akussa voi olla pientä nestevuotoa äärimmäisessä
käytössä tai äärimmäisissä lämpötiloissa. Tämä ei
välttämättä merkitse akun toimintahäiriötä. Jos
ulkokuori on kuitenkin rikkoutunut ja vuotavaa
akkunestettä pääsee ihollesi, pese altistunut alue
nopeasti saippualla ja vedellä. Jos akkunestettä
pääsee silmiisi, huuhtele silmiä puhtaalla vedellä
vähintään 10 minuuttia ja hakeudu välittömästi
lääkäriin.

Ilmoita hoitohenkilökunnalle, että neste on 25–35 %
liuos kaliumhydroksidia.
Älä koskaan yritä avata akkua mistään syystä. Jos
akun muovinen kotelo rikkoutuu tai murtuu, lopeta heti
akun käyttö, äläkä lataa sitä enää uudelleen.
Älä säilytä tai kuljeta vara-akkua taskussa,
työkalulaatikossa tai muussa paikassa, jossa se
pääsee kosketuksiin metalliesineiden kanssa. Akku voi
joutua oikosulkuun, joka vaurioittaa akkua, aiheuttaa
palovammoja tai tulipalon.
TIETOA AKUN LATAAMISESTA
NiCad ja/tai Li-ion NiCad ja/tai Li-Ion-akkujen
lataustehot määrittää aika, jonka akun täyteen
lataaminen kestää. Tähän aikaan vaikuttaa latausvirta.
Kolme yleisintä lataustehoa ovat:

NOPEASTI LADATTAVAT AKUT
Nopeasti ladattavien akkujen latausaika voi vaihdella
30 minuutin ja 90 minuutin välillä. Akkukäyttöisen
sähkötyökalun mukana tulevan akun latausaika on
merkitty tuotteen käyttöoppaaseen.
HITAASTI LADATTAVAT AKUT
itaasti ladattavien akkujen latausaika on 3 tunnin ja 5
tunnin välillä.
AKKU EN YLLÄPITOLATAUS
Akkujen ylläpitolatauksen latausaika on 7 tunnin ja 9
tunnin välillä.

LATAUSMENETTELY
Ladattaessa uutta NiCad- ja/tai Li-Ion-akkua, se tulee
purkaa aivan tyhjäksi ja ladata sen jälkeen aivan
täyteen akun latausajan mukaisesti, joka on ilmoitettu
tuotteen käyttöoppaassa plus 30 minuuttia. Tämän
jälkeen se tulee purkaa uudelleen aivan tyhjäksi ja
ladata sen jälkeen uudelleen aivan täyteen akun
latausajan mukaisesti, joka on ilmoitettu tuotteen

NICAD- A/TAI LI-ION-AKKU EN LATAAMINEN A
LATURIT
NiCad- ja/tai Li-Ion-akkujen lataus on tehtävä
huolellisesti, koska ylilataaminen voi vaurioittaa niitä.
Ylilataus voi nostaa akun lämpötilaa ja sisäinen paine
voi nousta äkisti. Tämä voi aiheuttaa kennojen
vääntymistä ja elektrolyytin vuotoa, sekä niissä
äärimmäisissä tapauksissa, joissa sisäinen paine on
erittäin korkea, akut voivat räjähtää.
Tämä voi tapahtua myös, jos yliladattu akku
kiinnitetään laitteeseen ja laitetta aletaan käyttää.
Näiden äärimmäisten tilanteiden välttämiseksi on
tärkeää, että NiCad- ja/tai Li-Ion-akut tyhjennetään
täysin ennen latausta ja latausaika ei ylitä ilmoitettua
paitsi uuden akun ”kunnostuksessa”. Toistuva vain
osittain purkautuneiden akkujen lataaminen voi
aiheuttaa yhden tai useamman kennon toimintahäiriön.
ITSEPURKAUS
Litiumakku voi purkautua itsestään ja menettää
ladatun varauksen. Yleensä akku menettää noin 5 %
latauksesta ensimmäisen kuukauden aikana täyteen
lataamisen jälkeen (säilytettäessä huonelämpötilassa)
ja sen jälkeen 3 % kuukaudessa. Jos akkua
säilytetään korkeammassa lämpötilassa, itsepurkaus
nopeutuu.
AKUN LATAAMINEN SISÄTILOISSA
Tämä laturi on suunniteltu sisäkäyttöön. Emme
suosittele sen käyttämistä kuitenkaan asuintiloissa.
Akut olisi parasta ladata verstaan pöydällä,
autotallissa tai vajassa. Jos akku on pakko ladata
asuintiloissa, tilan pitää olla hyvin ilmastoitu ja laturi
tulee asettaa syttymättömälle alustalle varmistaen,
että ilmanvaihtoaukot ovat esteettömät. Älä koskaan
ylitä latausaikaa, paitsi uuden akun ”kunnostuksessa”,
sillä se voi vaurioittaa akkua ja laturia.
AKUN HÄVITTÄMINEN
Kun akku ei enää lataudu tai lataus ei pysy, akun
käyttöaika on loppunut. Kierrätä akku luonnon
resurssien säästämiseksi tai hävitä akku
asianmukaisesti. Tässä akussa on nikkeli-kadmium-
kennot. Varmista ennen hävittämistä, että akku on
täysin purkautunut käyttämällä akkukäyttöistä
työkalua. Poista akku sitten työkalusta ja peitä akun
liitännät vahvalla teipillä, joka estää oikosulun
syntymisen ja sähkövirran purkautumisen, mikä voisi
aiheuttaa tulipalon. Älä yritä avata tai poistaa mitään
komponentteja.

jätehuoltoviranomaisiin.

ERITYISET TURVAOH EET
LADATTAVAT AKUT.
Akut voivat vuotaa tai räjähtää, jos niitä ei ladata ja
käsitellä oikein. Noudata akkujen käsittelyssä aina
seuraavia varotoimia. Varmista, että kone on kytketty
pois päältä ennen akun irrottamista tai kiinnittämistä.
Älä käytä tätä akkua minkään muun laitteen kanssa.
Älä yritä kiinnittää akkua väärinpäin.
Älä oikosulje tai yritä purkaa akkua.
Älä altista akkua liekeille tai korkeille lämpötiloille.
Älä upota akkua veteen tai altista sitä vedelle.
Älä säilytä tai kuljeta akkua irrallisten metalliesineiden,
kuten poranterien, kanssa.
Akut voivat vuotaa, kun niitä puretaan. Vältä laitteen
vioittuminen poistamalla tai lataamalla akku, kun
varausta ei ole enää jäljellä. Säilytä akku viileässä
paikassa, kun se ei ole käytössä.
Akku saattaa kuumentua pitkäaikaisen käytön jälkeen.
Kytke kone pois päältä ennen kuin irrotat akun ja anna
akun jäähtyä. Älä käytä akkua, jos huomaat akun
kotelossa värjäytymiä tai vääntymiä.

PIDÄ NÄMÄ OH EET TALLELLA
1) TYÖALUE
a) Pidä työalue puhtaana ja hyvin valaistuna.
Roskaiset tai pimeät alueet lisäävät
onnettomuusriskiä.
b) Älä käytä työkaluja ympäristöissä, joissa on
räjähdysvaara, kuten helposti syttyvien nesteiden,
kaasujen tai pölyn läsnä ollessa. Työkalut
synnyttävät kipinöitä, jotka voivat sytyttää pölyn tai
höyryt tuleen.
c) Pidä lapset ja sivulliset poissa työkalua
käytettäessä. äiriötekijät voivat haitata
keskittymistä.
2) SAHKÖTURVALLISUUS
a) Sähkötyökalun pistokkeiden tulee vastata
pistorasiaa. Älä koskaan muuta pistoketta millään
tavalla. Älä käytä sovitinpistokkeita maadoitettujen
sähkötyökalujen kanssa. Muuttamattomat
pistokkeet ja yhteensopivat pistorasiat vähentävät
sähköiskun vaaraa.
b) Vältä vartalokosketusta maadoitettuihin pintoihin
kuten putkiin, lämmittimiin, liesiin tai jääkaappeihin.
Sähköiskun vaara kasvaa, jos vartalosi on
maadoitettu.
c) Suojaa sähkötyökalut sateelta ja kosteudelta.
Sähkötyökalun sisään päässyt vesi lisää
sähköiskun vaaraa.
d) Älä käytä johtoa väärin. Älä koskaan käytä johtoa
sähkötyökalun kantamiseen, vetämiseen tai
irrottamiseen pistorasiasta. Pidä johto kaukana
lämmöstä, öljystä, terävistä reunoista ja liikkuvista
osista. Vaurioituneet tai sotkeutuneet johdot
lisäävät sähköiskun vaaraa.
e) Kun sähkötyökalua käytetään ulkotiloissa, käytä
jatkojohtoa, joka soveltuu ulkokäyttöön.
Ulkokäyttöön sopivan johdon käyttö vähentää
sähköiskun vaaraa.
3) HENKILÖTURVALLISUUS
a) Pysy valppaana, katso mitä teet ja käytä tervettä
järkeä käyttäessäsi työkalu. Älä käytä työkalu
ollessasi väsynyt tai huumeiden, alkoholin tai
lääkkeiden vaikutuksen alaisena. etkellinen
epähuomio työkalu käytettäessä voi johtaa
vakaviin henkilövammoihin.
b) Käytä suojavarustusta. Käytä aina suojalaseja.
Turvavarustus kuten hengityssuojain,
liukumattomat turvajalkineet, suojakypärä tai
kuulosuojain käytettynä asianmukaisissa
olosuhteissa vähentää henkilövammoja.
c) Vältä vahinkokäynnistyksiä. Varmista, että kytkin
on off-asennossa (sammutettuna) ennen virran
kytkemistä. Työkalun kantaminen sormi kytkimellä
tai virran kytkeminen päälle työkaluihin, joiden
kytkin on päällä, voi aiheuttaa onnettomuuksia.
d) Poista säätöavaimet tai jakoavaimet ennen
työkalun käynnistämistä. Jako- tai muu avain, joka
on jätetty kiinni työkalun pyörivään osaan voi
aiheuttaa henkilövamman.
e) Älä kurkottele. Pidä asianmukainen jalansija ja
tasapaino kaiken aikaa. Tämä mahdollistaa
työkalun paremman hallinnanodottamattomissa
tilanteissa.
f) Pukeudu asianmukaisesti. Älä pidä löysiä vaatteita
tai koruja. Pidä hiuksesi, vaatteesi ja käsineesi
poissa liikkuvista osista. Löysät vaatteet, korut tai
pitkä tukka voivat jäädä kiinni liikkuviin osiin.
g) Jos pölynpoistoon tai keräyslaitteisiin kytkettäviä
laitteita on toimitettu, varmista, että ne on kytketty
ja niitä käytetään asianmukaisesti. Näiden
laitteiden käyttö voi vähentää pölyyn liittyviä
vaaroja.
4) TYÖKALUN KÄYTTÖ A HUOLTO
a) Älä käytä voimaa työkaluun. Käytä
käyttötarkoitukseesi soveltuvaa työkalua.
Asianmukainen työkalu toimii paremmin ja
turvallisemmin teholla, jolla se on suunniteltu.
