INSIDE OR OUTSIDE MOUNT
This blind can be tted to the top (inside) or face
(outside) of your wall, depending on your installation
environment.
TOP (INSIDE) MOUNT FACE (OUTSIDE) MOUNT
For latest information about this product visit www.coolaroo.com

STEP 1
Space the three quick mount brackets evenly
along the length of your blind. Mark the le, right
and centre bracket positions on your installation
surface.
NOTE: For top mount installation the bracket tabs
should face forwards. For face mount installations
the bracket tab should face downwards. Allow at
least 5cm (2”) of clearance between the bracket
and the wall or ceiling to allow enough clearance for
tting and removing the pelmet.
In the marked positions attach the three quick
mount brackets using the timber screws. Ensure
the screws are penetrating into timber. If mounting
to masonry, use the 5mm wall plugs.
IMPORTANT: If the brackets are installed upside
down or backwards, the pelmet will not lock into the
brackets.
STEP 2
Fit the pelmet by rst inserting the bracket hooks
into the channel on the pelmet. Then push the
pelmet rmly onto the brackets until all three
latches snap securely into the channel.
NOTE: Use the channels on top of the pelmet for
top (inside) mount installations and the channels
on the side of the pelmet for face (outside) mount
installations.
STEP 3
Bungee tie downs have been provided to secure
your exterior blind down in mild to moderate wind
conditions.
Thread the bungee cord through the end cap ring
and back through itself, making a lark’s head knot.
Use the timber screws to install the receiver
approximately 13cm (5”) below where the blind will
stop. Fit a receiver on each side of the blind. Use the
5mm wall plugs if screwing into masonry.
Attach the bungee to the receiver to secure the
blind when in the down position.

STEP 4
Position the solar panel clip onto the mounting
bracket and secure into position using the screw
and nut. Do not yet tighten.
Use the timber screws to mount the solar bracket
into a position near the pelmet that attracts the
most amount of sunlight. If mounting to masonry,
use the 5mm wall plugs.
Fit the solar panel into the clip, making sure the
power cord is on the right hand side.
NOTE: Ensure the solar panel mounting location
is close enough to allow the 2m cable to reach the
connection point on the motor.
Run the power cord along the top of the pelmet and
connect it to the motor.
Tilt the solar panel to an angle that will receive the
most sunlight, then fully tighten the screw.
STEP 5
To power up your solar motorised blind for the rst
time press the motor program button once on the
right hand side of the blind. The blind will move to
the bottom position. Once it has stopped, it is ready
for use.
To program the remote control you will need to
access the program button which is located on
the inside of the remote control.
Using a Phillips-head screwdriver undo the screw
on the back of the remote control and remove
the casing. Take note of the program button.
NOTE: The remote control is tted with a battery
isolation tag that will need to be removed and
disposed of prior to operating the remote control.
