WARNING

Laser Warning
This device requires no regular maintenance. In the event that the device
becomes damaged or is inoperable, repair or service must be handled by
authorized, factory-trained technicians only.
Attempting to repair or service the unit on your own can result in direct exposure
to laser radiation and the risk of permanent eye damage. For repair or service,
contact your dealer or Garmin®for more information.
This device has a protective housing which, when in place, prevents human access
to laser radiation in excess of the accessible emission limit (AEL) for Class 1 laser
products. This device should not be modified or operated without its housing
or optics. Operating this device without a housing and optics, or operating this
device with a modified housing or optics that expose the laser source, may result
in direct exposure to laser radiation and the risk of permanent eye damage.
Removal or modification of the diffuser in front of the laser optic may result in
the risk of permanent eye damage.
Battery Warnings
A lithium-ion battery can be used in this device.
If these guidelines are not followed, batteries may experience a shortened
life span or may present a risk of damage to the device, fire, chemical burn,

Laser Caution
This device emits laser radiation. Use of controls or adjustments or performance
of procedures other than those specified herein may result in hazardous radiation

This laser product is designated Class 1 during all procedures of operation. When
the ranging feature of the device is activated, a laser emitter of a ranging module
may emit laser radiation and the device should not be aimed toward anyone.
Avoid looking toward the laser emitter or into the laser radiation (beam) when
operating the device. It is advisable to turn off the ranging module when it is not
in use. This device must be used only according to the directions and procedures
described in the owner’s manual, available at Garmin.com/manuals.

THIS AGREEMENT CAREFULLY.
Garmin Ltd. and its subsidiaries (“Garmin”) grant you a limited license to use the
software embedded in this device (the “Software”) in binary executable form
in the normal operation of the product. Title, ownership rights, and intellectual
property rights in and to the Software remain in Garmin and/or its third-party
providers.
You acknowledge that the Software is the property of Garmin and/or its third-
party providers and is protected under the United States of America copyright
laws and international copyright treaties. You further acknowledge that the
structure, organization, and code of the Software, for which source code is not
provided, are valuable trade secrets of Garmin and/or its third-party providers
and that the Software in source code form remains a valuable trade secret of
Garmin and/or its third-party providers. You agree not to decompile, disassemble,
modify, reverse assemble, reverse engineer, or reduce to human readable form
the Software or any part thereof or create any derivative works based on the
Software. You agree not to export or re-export the Software to any country in
violation of the export control laws of the United States of America or the export

Map Data Information
Garmin uses a combination of governmental and private data sources. Virtually
all data sources contain some inaccurate or incomplete data. In some countries,
complete and accurate map information is either not available or is prohibitively
expensive.
Limited Warranty
THIS LIMITED WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS, AND YOU MAY

Non-aviation products are warranted to be free from defects in materials or
workmanship for one year from the date of purchase. Within this period, Garmin
will, at its sole option, repair or replace any components that fail in normal use.
Such repairs or replacement will be made at no charge to the customer for parts
or labor, provided that the customer shall be responsible for any transportation
cost. This Limited Warranty does not apply to: (i) cosmetic damage, such as
scratches, nicks and dents; (ii) consumable parts, such as batteries, unless product
damage has occurred due to a defect in materials or workmanship; (iii) damage
caused by accident, abuse, misuse, water, flood, fire, or other acts of nature or
external causes; (iv) damage caused by service performed by anyone who is not
an authorized service provider of Garmin; (v) damage to a product that has been
modified or altered without the written permission of Garmin, or (vi) damage
to a product that has been connected to power and/or data cables that are not
supplied by Garmin. In addition, Garmin reserves the right to refuse warranty
claims against products or services that are obtained and/or used in contravention
of the laws of any country. Garmin navigation products are intended to be used
only as a travel aid and must not be used for any purpose requiring precise
measurement of direction, distance, location or topography. Garmin makes no
warranty as to the accuracy or completeness of map data.
This Limited Warranty also does not apply to, and Garmin is not responsible
for, any degradation in the performance of any Garmin navigation product
resulting from its use in proximity to any handset or other device that utilizes
a terrestrial broadband network operating on frequencies that are close to the
frequencies used by any Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) such as the

Global Positioning Service (GPS). Use of such devices may impair reception of
GNSS signals.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE WARRANTIES

WHETHER RESULTING FROM THE USE, MISUSE OR INABILITY TO USE THIS
PRODUCT OR FROM DEFECTS IN THE PRODUCT. SOME STATES (AND COUNTRIES

If during the warranty period you submit a claim for warranty service in
accordance with this Limited Warranty, then Garmin will, at its option: (i) repair
the device using new parts or previously used parts that satisfy Garmin’s quality
standards, (ii) replace the device with a new device or a refurbished device that
meets Garmin’s quality standards, or (iii) exchange the device for a full refund

of your purchase price. SUCH REMEDY SHALL BE YOUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE
REMEDY FOR ANY BREACH OF WARRANTY. Repaired or replaced devices have
a 90 day warranty. If the unit sent in is still under its original warranty, then the
new warranty is 90 days or to the end of the original 1 year warranty, whichever
is longer.
Before seeking warranty service, please access and review the online help
resources available on support.Garmin.com/en-SG. If your device is still not
functioning properly after making use of these resources, contact a Garmin
Authorized service facility in the original country of purchase or follow the
instructions on support.Garmin.com/en-SG to obtain warranty service. If you are
in the United States, you can also call 1-800-800-1020.
If you seek warranty service outside of the original country of purchase, Garmin
cannot guarantee that the parts and products needed to repair or replace your
product will be available due to differences in product offerings and applicable
standards, laws and regulations. In that case, Garmin may, in its sole discretion
and subject to applicable laws, repair or replace your product with comparable
Garmin products and parts, or require you to ship your product to a Garmin
Authorized service facility in the country of original purchase or to a Garmin
Authorized service facility in another country that can service your product, in
which case you will be responsible for complying with all applicable import and
export laws and regulations and for paying all custom duties, V.A.T., shipping fees
and other associated taxes and charges. In some cases, Garmin and its dealers may
be unable to service your product in a country outside of the original country of
purchase or return a repaired or replaced product to you in that country due to
applicable standards, laws or regulations in that country.
Online Auction Purchases: Products purchased through online auctions are not
eligible for rebates or other special offers from Garmin warranty coverage. Online
auction confirmations are not accepted for warranty verification. To obtain

warranty service, an original or copy of the sales receipt from the original retailer
is required. Garmin will not replace missing components from any package
purchased through an online auction.
International Purchases: A separate warranty may be provided by international
distributors for devices purchased outside the United States depending on the

and this distributor provides local service for your device. Distributor warranties
are only valid in the area of intended distribution.
Australian Purchases: Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded
under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund
for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable
loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if
the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a

Turning On the Device
The first time you turn on the device, you are prompted to choose a language,
select a unit of measure, and set your driver distance.

Standby Mode
To conserve battery life, the device goes into standby mode when not in use. The
device wakes up when you hold it with your thumb in the groove on the bottom
of the device.

Status LEDs
LED Activity Status
Solid blue (for 5 seconds after turning on) The device is turned on.
Alternating red and blue (for 5 seconds after
turning on) The battery is low.
Off The device is in active mode.
Slow flashing blue The device is in standby mode.
Solid red (after holding the power button) The device is turned off.
Solid blue and flashing red (connected to a
power source) The device is charging.
Solid red (connected to a power source) Charging is complete.
Slow flashing red A software update is in progress.
Adjusting the Eyepiece
The device features an adjustable eyepiece (+/- 4 diopter adjustment). This allows
you to focus the screen for your eyesight.
Rotate the eyepiece to focus the screen.
Playing Golf
Select Play Golf.
The device locates satellites and calculates your location. The nearest
course is selected, and the hole closest to your current location is displayed
automatically.

Measuring the Distance to the Pin
You can use the flag finder feature to target the flag and measure the distance
from your current position to the pin. This feature helps get an accurate distance
to the pin by filtering out other objects in the background.
1 Start playing a round of golf.
2 Align the rangefinder reticle with the flag.
NOTE: For best results, you should hold the device steady, and align the reticle
with the flag instead of the pin.
3 Press .
The measured range to the pin appears. If the device is able to target the flag,
a flag icon appears, and the hole view map automatically transitions to a close
up of the green.
TIP: You can press to return to the hole view.
Hole View
The device shows the current hole you are playing, and automatically transitions
when you move to a new hole.

①Displays distances to the beginning of the fairway, and the front and back
of hazards.
②Displays the current hole number.
③Displays the par for the current hole.
④Displays distances to the front, center, and back of the green.

Displays layup distances to the center of the green.
The colors indicate distance in meters or yards: red is 100, white is 150, blue
is 200, and yellow is 250.
⑥Displays your driver distance when you are on the tee box.
Viewing PlaysLike Distance
The “plays like” distance feature accounts for elevation changes on the course by
showing the adjusted distance to hazards and the green. Distances ranged with
the laser are also adjusted for elevation changes.
1 Select or to open the menu.
2Select PlaysLike Distances.
An icon appears next to each distance.
Distance plays longer than expected due to a change in elevation.
Distance plays as expected.
Distance plays shorter than expected due to a change in elevation.

Viewing the Direction to the Pin
The PinPointer feature is a compass that provides directional assistance when you
are unable to see the green. This feature can help you line up a shot even if you
are in the woods or in a deep sand trap.
NOTE: Do not use the PinPointer feature while in a golf cart. Interference from
the golf cart can affect the accuracy of the compass.
1 Select or to open the menu.
2 Select PinPointer.
The compass arrow points to the pin location.
TIP: You can press any key to return to the hole view.
Changing Holes
You can change holes manually from the hole view screen.
1 Select or to open the menu.
2 Select Change Hole.
3 Select an option.
Changing the Course
You can change the course manually from the hole view screen.
1 Select or to open the menu.
2 Select Change Course.
3 Select an option.

Sight Something
Measuring the Distance to a Target
You can use the device to measure the distance from your current position to a
target, such as on a driving range.
NOTE: The device can measure distances from 5 to 320 m (5.5 to 350 yd.).
1 Select Sight Something.
2 Align the rangefinder reticle with the target.
3 Press .
The measured range appears.

Charging the Device
WARNING
This product contains a lithium-ion battery. To prevent the possibility of personal
injury or product damage caused by battery exposure to extreme heat, store the
device out of direct sunlight.
NOTICE
To prevent corrosion, thoroughly dry the USB port, the weather cap, and the
surrounding area before charging or connecting to a computer.
The device is powered by a built-in lithium- ion battery that you can charge using
a standard wall outlet or a USB port on your computer.
NOTE: The device will not charge when outside the approved temperature range
(Charging temperature range, page 18)

1 Pull up the weather cap from the USB port.
2 Plug the small end of the USB cable into the USB port on the device.
3 Plug the large end of the USB cable into an external power source, such as an
AC adapter or a USB port on your computer.
4 Charge the device completely.
TIP: You can turn off the device to charge it faster.
