This air conditioner must be properly
installed in accordance with dxe Installation
Insmmtions before it is used.

conditioner before making any repairs
or cleaning.
NOTE.'X_estrongly recommend that any
servicing be perforated by a qualified
indixddual.
Never unplug your air conditioner by
pulling on the power cord. Always glip
plug firefly and pull straight out flom the
receptacle.
Replace immediamly all electric service
cords that have become frayed or ofl_erwise
damaged. A damaged power supply cord
nmst be replaced with a new power supply
cord obtained from the manu/_acturer and
not repaired. Do not use a cord that shows
cracks or abrasion damage along its length
or at eiflxer flxe plug or connector end.
;_;Fox your safety...do not store or use
combustible mamxials, gasoline or oflxer
flammable vapors or liquids in the vicinity
of this or any other appliance.
;fi:,:All air conditioners contain refligerants,
which under federal law must be remoxed
plJOr to product disposal. If you are getting
rid of an old product with refl_igerants, check
with the company handling disposal about
what to do.
HOWTOCONNECTELECTRICITY
Do not, under any circumstances, cut or remove
the third (ground) prong from the power cord. For
personal safe_ this appliance must be properly
grounded.
The power cord of dfis appliance is equipped
with a 3q)rong (grounding) plug which mates
with a standard 3-prong (grounding) wall
outlet m minimize tim possibility of electric
shock hazard flom this appliance.
Power cord includes a cmTent intemxpter
device. A rest and reset button is provided
on the plug case. The device should be tesmd
on a periodic basis by first pressing the TEST
button and then the RESETbutmn. If the TEST
button does not trip or if the RESErbntton
will not stay engwged, discontinne use of the
air conditioner and contact a qualified
service technician.
Haxe the wall outlet and circuit checked by a
qualified electrician to make sure the outlet is
properly grounded.
$_llere a 9-prong wall outlet is encounmred
it is your personal responsibility and obligauon
to have it replaced with a properly grounded
3-prong wall outlet.
The air conditioner should ahvays be
plugged into its own individual elecuical
ontlet which has a xoltag> rating that matches
the rating plato.
This provides the best perfommnce and also
piexents oxerloading house wiring circuits
which could cause a fire hazard flom
oxerheated wires.
