services.You must subscribetooneoftheseservicesin
ordertousethisunit.

Identifycallersbeforeyou answer thephone.
Recordupto60 CallerIDmessagessequentially.
Knowwho calledwhile you wereaway.
Togetthemost fromyournewphone,wesuggestthat
youtakeafewminutes rightnowtoreadthroughthis
user s guide.
IMPORTANT: In order to usethis unit,you must subscribeto
eitherthestandardNumberCallerIDService.
BEFORE YOU BEGIN

Makesureyourpackageincludes theitems:

MODULAR JACK REQUIREMENTS
You need an RJ11type modularphone jack, whichisthe
mostcommontypeofphonejack.Ifyoudonthavea
modularjack, callyour local phonecompanytofind out
howtogetoneinstalled.
INSTALLING THE PHONE
DESKTOP INSTALLATION
1. Plug thecoiledcord intothe corded handset andthe base.
2.Pushthe switchonthebatterydoortounlockthe
battery door.(Push the switch to “”position.)
3.Removethe batterycompartmentdoor.
4.Insert3sized AA batteries.(Not include inpackage)
Theunitwill beatits optimalperformanceprovided that
youhaveinstalled the 3piecesAA sized drybatteries.
5.Putthecompartment doorbackon.
6.Pushthe switchon the batterydoor tolock the battery
door.(Pushtheswitchto “”position.)
SET UP
TONE/PULSE DIALING SELECTION
Useatooling tomoveT/Pswitchin the bottomtoset
dialing mode. (T:tone or P: pulse.)
NOTE:The phone is shippedin Tone Dialing Mode fromthe
manufacturer.
FLASH TIME SETTING
Using atooling tomoveFLASHswitchinthe bottomto
setFLASHtiming.(100ms/300ms/600ms.)
DATEANDTIME SETTING
1.Press “MENU”button,LCD displays “set1date”.
2.Press “MENU”buttontoenterdate/timesettingmode.
3.Press 0~9buttontoinputtheyear,dateand time.
4.Press “DEL”button tosavethe setting and exitsetting
mode.
INUSE INDICATOR
The “IN USE”indicatorwill lightup whenthe phone is onthe line.
SPEAKER INDICATOR
The SPEAKERindicator will light upwhenthe speakeris
activated.
RECEIVING ACALL
1. Checkthedisplaytoseewhois calling.
2.Press the “SPEAKER”buttonorpick up the handsetto
answerthephone.
3. Press the “SPEAKER”button again or put the handset
on cradle tohang up.
MAKING ACALL
Tomakeacall, press the “SPEAKER”button orpickup

LOCALAREA CODE SETTING
1.Press “MENU”button,LCD displays “set1date”.
2.Press “< ”or “> ”button,LCD displays “set2code”.
3. Press “MENU”button toenterlocalareacode setting.
4.Press0~9button toinputlocalareacode.
5.Press “DEL”button tosavethe setting and exitsetting
mode.
RINGER LEVEL SETTING
There are total 3ring levels. (HI/MID/LO)
Movering volumeswitchin the back ofthe basetoset
Ringer level.
RECEIVE VOLUME
There are total 3receivevolumelevels. (HI/MID/LO)
While on the phone,pressthe “VOL”buttontoadjust the
receivevolumeofhandsetor speaker.
(Volume “Lo”displays “”, “Mid”displays “”,“Hi”
displays “”.)
FLASH TIME SETTING
Thereare threeflashtimingsfor selection.
Movethe hard switchfor selecting flashtiming on the
bottomtoselect proper flashtiming .100ms,300ms,or
600ms.
7. Plug the telephone line cord intothe modular jack and
intotheTEL. LINEjack on thebackofthe base.
NOTE: The phone automaticallydefaultstotouch-tonedialing.
Tochange topulse(rotary)dialing, see"Tone/Pulse Dialing".If
you don'tknowwhichtypeofservice you have, checkwith the
phonecompany.

onmuteandsendoutthe music.
2. Press “MUTE”buttonagain tocancel mutemode.Orpress

CALLER IDFEATURES
Thisunitreceivesanddisplaysinformationtransmitted by
yourlocalphonecompanyisrunningwithFSKor DTMF system.
The unit canstore up to60 calls (16 digits)for later review.
CALLER ID
WhileyouhaveacallerID, thedisplaywill showasfollow:
IMPORTANT: Inorder to usetheCaller IDfunctions with this
unit,you must subscribe toNumber Caller IDService.
RECEIVING AND STORING CALLS
When youreceiveacall,the information istransmitted
bythephone companytoyour Caller IDtelephone
betweenthe first andthesecondring.
When thememoryisfull,anewcall automatically
replacesthe oldest call inmemory.
REVIEWING RECORDS
Ascallsarereceived andstored, thedisplayisupdated
toletyou knowhowmanycallshavebeen received.
1.Press the “< ”button toget intoCID mode and to
scrollthroughthecallrecordsfromthe mostrecent to
theoldest.
2. Pressthe “> ”buttontoscroll throughthecallrecords
fromthe oldesttothe newest.
TRANSFERRING CIDRECORDS TOMEMORY
You maytransfer aCaller IDrecord toyour phone s
memory.
1.Press “STORE”button,LCDdisplays “input code”.
2.Press “< ”or “> ”buttontoscrollyourdesiredrecord.
3.Press “STORE”button again, LCD displays “press0~9”.
4.Press 0-9buttontoselectadesiredmemorylocation.
5.Theunitgeneratesatonetoconfirmthe CIDis stored
in memory.
DELETING THE CURRENT CIDRECORD
1. Press “< ”or “> ”buttontoscrollthedesiredrecord.
2.Press “DEL”button,LCDdisplays “delone”.
3.Press “DEL”buttonagaintoconfirmtodeletethe
current record.
DELETING ALL CIDRECORDS
1.Press “< ”or “> ”button todisplaythe CIDrecords.
2.Pressand hold “DEL”buttonfor3seconds,LCD
displays “delall”.
3.Press “DEL”button againtoconfirmtodeleteall CID
records.
DIALING ACALLER IDNUMBER
1. Pressthe “< ”or “> ”buttontodisplaythedesiredCaller
IDrecord.
2.Press “SPEAKER”button or press “Dial”button or pick
upthehandset.Thenumber isdialed out automatically.
MEMORY
Store uptoten16-digitnumbersinmemoryfor quickdialing.

1.Press “STORE”button,LCDdisplays “input code”.
2. Usethenumberkeypadtoenterthe telephonenumber
youwanttostore(upto16digits).
3. Press “STORE”buttonagain,LCDdisplays “press

confirmthe number isstored in memory.
CHANGING ASTORED NUMBER
Usethesameproceduretochange astored numberas
youdotostoreanumberthatyou re justreplacingthe
phonenumber withadifferent one.
STORING AREDIAL NUMBER
1.Press “STORE”button, LCDdisplays “input code”.
2.Press “REDIAL”buttontoget intoredialrecordmenu
3.Press “REDIAL”buttonrepeatedlytoselect adialed
number.
4.Press “STORE”buttonagain, display “press 0~9”.
5. Pressanumerickey(0,1,2,3,4……or9)ofdesired
memorylocation.Theunitgeneratesatonetoconfirm
the number isstoredin memory.
DIALING ASTORED NUMBER
1.When thephoneisoff.
2.Press “DIAL”button,display “press 0~9”.
3. PressNumberKeypad <0...9> toenter thephonebook.
4.Press “DIAL”button or press “SPEAKER”buttonor
pick up the handset, then the number willbe dialed out
automatically.
OR
1.When the phone is on the line.
2.Press “DIAL”button,display “press 0~9”.
3.Press Number Keypad <0...9> toselect amemory
location.
4. Theunitwilldial outthenumberstoredinthememory.
IMPORTANT:Ifyoumaketestcallstoemergencynumbersstored
in memory,remainon thelineandbriefly explain thereason for
thecall to the dispatcher. Also, it's agood idea to makethese
calls in off-peakhours,such asearly morning orlateevening.
GENERAL PRODUCE CARE

DONOTexposetodirect sunlightormoisture.
Avoiddroppingandotherroughtreatmenttothephone.
Clean withasoft cloth.
Neveruseastrongcleaningagentorabrasive

Is thetelephonelinecord connected
tothe baseunit andthe wall jack?
Disconnect the basefromthewall
jack andconnectanother phone to
thesamejack.If there isnodialtone
in the secondphone,the problem
mightbeyourwiringor localservice.
Makesure the batteryisproperlyfull.
Are thebatteriesinstalled correctly?
Dial tone isOK,Makesurethetone/pulsesettingis
but can'tdial outcorrect.
DoesnotringTry tosetthe Ringer toahigher level.
Youmayhavetoomanyextension
phones onyourline.Tryunplugging
somephones.

MEMORYDIALING
Did youprogramthememorylocationkeyscorrectly?
Didyou followproper dialing sequence?
Makesurethetone/pulsesettingis correct.
Usedequipment mustbedisposedof incompli-
ancewithcurrentenvironmentalprotection
regulations.You shouldreturnittoyourreselleror
disposeofitin an approved recycling centre.
CIDNumberofcalls
thehandset before you dialandpress “SPEAKER”button
again or put the handset on cradle tohang up.
ORPre-dialing
Input the telephone number (no more than 32digits), then
press “SPEAKER”button orpick up thehandset, the
number will bedialedoutautomatically.
REDIAL
1.Press "REDIAL"button whilethe phoneisoff.
2.Pressthe"REDIAL"button repeatedlytoreviewredial
telephonelist.
3.Press "SPEAKER" buttonorpick up thehandset todial
outthe number.
OR
1. Press "SPEAKER"button or pick up the handset.
2.Press "REDIAL" buttontodial the lastnumberredial.
CONTRAST
Press “CONTRAST”buttonrepeatedlytoadjust LCD
contrast. Thereare total 5contrast levelscan be adjusted.
FLASH
