Zweck dieser Anleitung
Bei Arbeiten in explosionsgefährdeten Be-
reichen hängt die Sicherheit von Personen
und Anlagen von der Einhaltung aller
Sicherheitsvorschriften ab.
Das Montage- und Wartungspersonal, das
in solchen Anlagen arbeitet, trägt deshalb
eine besondere Verantwortung. Die Vor-
aussetzungen dafür ist die genaue Kenntnis
der geltenden Vorschriften und Bestim-
mungen.
Diese Anleitung fasst kurz die wichtigsten
Sicherheitsmassnahmen zusammen. Sie
ergänzt die entsprechenden Vorschriften, zu
deren Studium das verantwortliche Per-
sonal verpflichtet ist.

Purpose of these instructions
When working in hazardous areas, the safety
of personnel and plant depends on complying
with safety regulations.
Assembly and maintenance staff working on
such plant therefore has a particular
responsibility. The prerequisite for this is
precise knowledge of the current rules and
regulations.
These instructions summarize the most
important safety measures. They supplement
the corresponding regulations, which the staff
responsible must study.

Objectif du présent mode d’emploi
Au cours des travaux dans les zones à
risque d’explosion, la sécurité des
personnes et des équipements est liée au
respect de toutes les consignes de sécurité.
Le personnel chargé du montage et de la
maintenance sur ces équipements possède
á cet égard une grande responsabilité et
doit connaître parfaitement les prescriptions
et dispositions légales en viguegeur.
Le présent mode d’emploi résume de façon
concise les mesures de sécurité les plus
importantes. Il ne peut en aucun cas se
substituer aux prescriptions
correspondantes, dont l’étude par le
personnel responsable demeure
obligatoire.

Verwenden Sie die Geräte nur für den
zugelassenen Einsatzzweck. Fehlerhafter
oder unzulässiger Einsatz schliesst eine
Gewährleistung unsererseits aus.
Umbauten und Veränderungen am Gerät,
die den Explosionsschutz beeinträchtigen,
sind nicht gestattet.
Das Gerät darf nur im unbeschädigten und
sauberen Zustand betrieben werden.

Ne montez pas le pare-brise pointant
vers le haut.
4.1.1 Öffnen und Schließen des
Strahlers zum Lampenwechsel
Spannung abschalten (bei Strahlern
mit KVG Mindestabschaltzeit 45 min.
beachten).
Entfernen der Sicherungs-
Zylinderschraube auf der Vorderseite
des Schraubdeckel mit einen
Schraubendreher.
Schraubdeckel herausschrauben.
Lampen- und Zündgerätewechsel
möglich.
Schließen in umgekehrter
Reihenfolge.
4.1.1 Opening and closing the floodlight
for lamp replacement
Disconnect the voltage supply (in case
of lamps with coil ballast please note
that minimum disconnection period is
45 minutes ).
Remove the stud bolt on the front side
of the service cap with a screwdriver.
Remove endcap.
Lamp and starter can now be changed.
Carry out the same operations in
reverse order to close the floodlight.
4.1.1 Ouverture et fermeture du
projecteur pour le remplacement
de la lampe
Eteindre la tension. (Pour des
projecteurs avec ballast conventionnel,
veiller à un temps d’interruption
minimum de 45 min.)
Enlever la vis de cylindre de protection
sur la face du creux couverclel à
travers un tournevis.
Enlever le couvercle.
Lampes et déflagrateurs peuvent être
changés.
Refermer en sens inverse.
Beachten:
Vor dem Zusammenbau Dichtung auf
Beschädigungen prüfen (gegebenen-
falls ersetzen).
Das Gewinde darf keine Beschä-
digungen aufweisen, da es für den
Explosionsschutz entscheident ist.
Vor dem Zusammenbau ist das Innen-
und Außengewinde zu reinigen und mit
säurefreiem Fett gleichmäßig
einzufetten.
Das verwendete Fett muß für einen
Temperaturbereich von –40°C bis
+120°C ausgelegt sein.
Notes:
Before closing the floodlight make sure
that the gasket is undamaged (replace
if necessary).
The screw thread should not be
damaged, as this component is vital to
preventing explosions.
Before closing the floodlight, clean the
internal and external thread of the
safety screw endcap thoroughly, and
coat it evenly with acid free grease.
The grease used must be able to
withstand a temperature range of –
40°C to +120°C.
Attention :
Avant assemblage, vérifier que la
garniture ne soit pas endommagée
(changer le cas échéant).
Le filet ne doit aps être endommagé
car cela est décisif pour la protection
antidéflagrante.
Avant assemblage, nettoyer le filet
intérieur et extérieur et graisser avec
un lubrifiant sans acide.
La graisse utilisée doit convenir pour
une plage de température de – 40°C à
+ 120°C

4.2 Netzanschluss
Nur über Original Kabeleinführung Exe/Exd
gem. ATEX (min. IP67)
Die Befestigungsschrauben des
Anschlussdosendeckel müssen beim
Verschließen mit 2+1Nm angezogen
werden.
Beachten:
Die Klemmung an der Anschluss-
leitung muß sehr sorgfältig durch-
geführt werden.
Im Klemmbereich darf sich keine
Isolierung des Leiters befinden!
Leiter nicht vertauschen
Leiter muß fest angeklemmt sein (bei
Schraubklemmen mit 1,3Nm) und
geprüft werden
Standard
L = Phase - Klemmstellen (1)
N = Neutralleiter - Klemmstellen (2)
PE = Schutzleiter - Klemmstellen (3)
An den Klemmstellen (1) bis (3) kann
jeweils max. 1 Leiter geklemmt werden. Die
Anschlussklemme ist für folgende
Leitungsquerschnitte geeignet;
flexible Leitungen ohne Aderendhülse
0,5 bis 6,0mm²
starre Leitungen 0,5 bis 6,0mm²
An den Klemmstellen (5) ist der Strahler
angeschlossen
4.2 Mains connection

The fastening screws of the junction box
cover must be tightened when closing with
2+1 Nm.
Notes:
Connecting of the cable must be done
very carefully
Do not clamp any part of the conductor
insulation!
Do not transpose the conductors
The conductor must be firmly
connected (with 1.3Nm screw
terminals) and tested

The floodlight is connected at the terminal
points (5) .
4.2 Raccordement au secteur
Uniquement par entrée de câble originale

Les vis de fixation du couvercle de la boîte
de jonction doivent être serrées lors de la
fermeture avec 2+1 Nm.
Attention:
Le serrage au câble doit être effectué
avec beaucoup de soin
Ne pas coincer l’isolant du fil
conducteur lors du serrage
Ne pas confondre les fils conducteurs
Les fils conducteurs doivent être
fermement connectés (avec bornes à
vis 1,3Nm) et contrôler

N = conducteur neutre des points

Max. 1 conducteur peut être connecté aux
points terminaux (1) à (3) La borne de

Eindrähtige Leitungen lassen sich ohne die
Verwendung von Werkzeug kontaktieren.

Mehrdrähtige Leitungen oder Leitungen mit
kleinen Aderquerschnitten lassen sich unter
Verwendung eines Schraubendrehers
kontaktieren.
4.2.1 Erdungs-oder
Potentailausgleichsleiter
Der Korrosionsschutz EN 60079-0 Punkt
15.4 wird entsprechend durch die Erdungs-
und Potentialausgleichsschraube
eingehalten. Eine Veränderung ist nicht
zulässig. Anschraubrehmoment 6-7Nm.

Multiple wire lines or lines with small wire
cross sections can be contacted using a
screwdriver.
4.2.1 Earthing or Potentail compensation
The anti corrosion protection EN 60079-0
item 15.4 is adhered to by the earthing
(grounding) and potential compensation
conductor screw correspondingly. A change
is not permitted. Screwing torque 6-7Nm.

Lignes mono-fil peuvent être contactés sans
l’aide d’un outil.

Lignes multiples fils ou des lignes avec des
sections tranversales petite de fil peuvent
être contactés à l’aide d’un tournevis.
4.2.1 Directeur de compensation de
potentiel
La protection point 15.4 EN 60079-0 contre
corrosion est observée par l'échelle de
compensation d'terre et de potentiel de vis
en conséquence. Un changement n'est pas
permis. Couple de serrage 6-7Nm.
4.3 Kabeleinführung
Der Standard-Strahler ist immer mit einer
Exe/Exd Kabeleinführung versehen und mit
einem Verschlussstopfen bestückt.
Beachten:
Kabeleinführung und Verschluss-
stopfen können untereinander
vertauscht werden.
Druckschraube der Kabeleinführung
mit 18 Nm anziehen.
Alle nicht benutzten Öffnungen sind mit
ATEX-bescheinigtem Verschluss-
stopfen Exe/Exd zu verschließen.
Nach der Installation sind Bauteile und
Kabeleinführung auf Dichtheit zu über-
prüfen.
4.3 Cable entry
The standard floodlight is always provided
with a Exe/Exd cable gland one entry and
one sealing plug.
Notes:
The cable gland and sealing plug can
be interchanged.
Tighten the cable gland holding screw,
exerting a pressure of 18 Nm.
All unused openings must be closed
with Exe/Exd certified plugs.
Test the components and cable entry
for gasseal after installation.
4.3 Introduction du câble
Le projecteur standard est toujours muni
d'une introduction de câble d' Exe/Exd et
équipée d'un bouchon de fermeture.
Attention:
L’entrée de câble et les bouchons de
fermeture peuvent être intervertis.
Serrer fermement la vis de pression
18 Nm de l’entrée de câble.
Boucher l’ensemble des ouvertures
non utilisées à l’aide de bouchons de
fermeture Exe/Exd homologués.
Aprè I’installation, contrôler l’étanchéite
des composants et de l’entreé de
câble.

Vor dem Öffnen des Schraubdeckel (Bild 6.1)
ist die Sicherungsschraube zu lösen.
Bevor opening the service cap (fig. 6.1.), the
safty screw has to be unlocked.
Avant que ouvrir la couvercle à vis (fig. 6.1) le
vis de protection doit retirer.
Lampen mit E27 / E40 Sockel
Die Lampe durch Rechtsdrehen in die
Fassung bis zum Anschlag einsetzen
(siehe Bild 6.2).
Beachten:
Der Sockel muß unbeschädigt sein.
Die Fassung hat einen federnden
Rüttelschutz.
Auf Sitz der Lampe ist zu achten;
nach dem Drehen ist der Lampensitz
rüttelfest gesichert.
Lamps with base E27 / E40
Move the lamp into the base until the stop
is reached by turning it to the right
(see fig. 6.2).
Important notes:
The lamp base must be undamaged.
The holder have a spring-loaded safety
lug.
Make sure that the lamp has been
fitted properly. When it has been
turned, the lamp is locked in position
so as to resist vibration.
Tubes à culot E27 / E40
Mettre le tube dans la douille en tournant
vers la droite jusqu’à la butée
(voir fig. 6.2).
Attention:
Les culots du tube doit être intact.
Les douilles sont chacune munies d’un
système de protection contre les
secousses.
Vérifier le positionnement correct du
tube; après rotation, le tube doit être
verrouillé et résistant aux secousses.

Die Lampe einseitig leicht angewinkelt

Press one end of the lamps in a small angle
to one base until it fits between both bases
(see fig. 6.3).

Base and glass of the lamp base have
to be undamaged and clean.

Presser la lampe vers une douille jusqu’à la

5 Inbetriebnahme

5 Putting the floodlight into operation
Before putting the floodlight into operation,
ensure that it:
in installed according to the regulations
the connection has been made properly
the cable has been inserted properly
the floodlight is not damaged
the lamp are properly positioned
5 Mise en sevice
Avant de mettre la projecteur en service,
s’assurer que:
la projecteur a été installée confomément
aux prescriptions
le raccordement électrique est conforme
les câbles ont été correctement introduits
le projecteur est intact
le tube a été correctement installé

6 Instandhaltung
6.1 Reinigung des Strahler
Reinigen Sie den Strahler nur mit einem
feuchten Tuch. Dem Reinigungswasser
kann ein lösungsmittelfreies Haushalts-
reinigungsmittel beigegeben werden.
6 Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning
Clean the floodlight with a moist cloth only.
A solvent free domestic cleaner can be
added to the cleaning water.

6.1 Nettoyage des projecteur
Nettoyer la projecteur exclusivement à l’aide
d’un chiffon humide. Vous pouvez
additionner un agent nettoyant ménager
sans solvant à l’eau de nettoyage.
6.2 Reparatur und Instandhaltung
Reparatur- und Instandsetzungsarbeiten an
der Leuchte dürfen nur von dafür
qualifiziertem, autorisiertem und
entsprechend von GLAMOX oder
gleichwertigen Institutionen in
Explosionsschutz geschultem Personal
durchgeführt werden.
Falls es erforderlich ist, größere Bauteile im
Exd-Raum zu wechseln, darf der
Frontrahmen mit der Glasscheibe, nur von
qualifiziertem Personal und wie in der
Anleitung zum Reparatur-Kit 9840137700
beschrieben, geöffnet werden.
Qualifikation des Personal
Für die in dieser Betriebsanleitung
beschriebenen Arbeiten ist eine
entsprechend qualifizierte Person
erforderlich. Dies gilt vor allem für Arbeiten
in den Bereichen:
oMontage / Demontage des Strahler
oInstallation
oInbetriebnahme
oInstandhaltung, Reparatur,
Reinigung
Personal, welche diese Arbeiten ausführen,
müssen über den Kenntnisstand der
relevanten nationalen Normen und
Bestimmungen, qualifiziert sein.
Für qualifiziertes Personal in
explosionsgefährdeten Bereichen sind
weitere Kenntnisse erforderlich !
Wichtiger Hinweis:
GLAMOX empfiehlt einen Kenntnisstand,
der in folgenden Normen beschrieben

Auswahl und Errichtung
elektrischer Anlagen)

6.2 Repairs and maintenance
Repair and maintenance work on the
floodlight may only be carried out by
personnel who are qualified, authorised and
trained in explosion protection by GLAMOX
or equivalent institutions..
If it is necessary to replace larger
components in the Exd room, the front
frame with the glass panel may only be
opened by qualified staff and as described
in the instructions for the 9840137700 repair
kit.
Qualification of the staff
For the activities described in these
operating instructions, a suitably qualified
specialist is required. This is especially true
for work in the areas of:
oAssembly / disassembly of the
floodlight
oInstallation
oCommissioning
oMaintenance, Repair,Cleaning
Personnel performing this work must be
qualified to the level of knowledge of
relevant national standards and regulations.
For qualified personnel in potentially
explosive areas, further knowledge is
required !

knowledge that is described in the following

6.2 Réparation et maintenance
Les interventions de réparation et
maintenance sur la lampe ne peuvent être
effecuées que par un personnel autorié et
qualifié en protection contre explosion par
GLAMOX ou des institutions équivalentes
conséquence.
S’il est nécessaire de remplacer des
composants plus grands dans la salle Exd,
le cadre avant avec vitre ne doit être ouvert
que par du personnel qualifié et comme
décrit dans les instructions du kit de
réparation 9840137700.
Qualification du personnel
Pour les activités décrites dans ce mode
d'emploi, un spécialiste qualifié est requis.
Cela est particulièrement vrai pour le travail
dans les domaines suivants :
oAssemblage / démontage du
projecteur
oinstallation
ola mise en service
oentretien, reparation, nettoyage
Le personnel effectuant ce travail doit être
qualifié au niveau de connaissance des
norms et réglementations nationales
pertinentes. Pour le personnel qualifié dans
les zones potentiellement explosives, des
connaissances supplémentaires sont
nécessaires!

If the floodlight does not come on when power
is applied, check:
is the lamp correctly positioned?
is the lamp faulty ?
is the ballast unit faulty ?
is the starter faulty ?
