Preparation: Set out clean underlay upon which to lay the shade
Tools: Allen keys with key sizes 4, 5 and 6mm, open-end wrenches with
wrench sizes 10, 13 and 17mm, screwdrivers, Phillips
screwdriver, cordless drill
1. Dismantle shade part and remove cover
•Bring shade into the half-open position.
•Loosen screws on the rod extensions. Push the extension into the rod, then
pull downward the textile bag and after you will be able to take out the
extension.

Open Velcro fastenings on the rods before removing the fabric.
•Two people lift shade part at two rod ends in order to relieve load on the
cable wire.

•For the shade part, loosen the lid on the slide at the bottom. Lift the rods until the
cable wire projects through the slide (photo). Loosen the counternuts and remove
together with the washer.
•Let go of rods on the shade part until the shade part is folded together.
•Loosen nuts on the carrying arm, so that the shade part can be hung out. (M8
stop nuts)
•Remove shade part from the shade fastening. Lay it down on the ground.
•Remove the top and the cover.
•old version of the shade fastening has two screws > consultation with the
Repair Center concerning the compatibility

•Replacement of the rod
Release the screws on the upper side of the crown until you are able to pull
out the rod.
Hang up the new rod into the crown and tight the screws.
•there is the same procedure with the slide
2. Mounting of a new cover
•Put new cover over the framework in reverse order, hang the shade part
on the carrying arm and slightly fasten with the screws for the purposes of
adjustment.
•Pull cable wire through the slide and lift the slide slightly. Tighten (lock)
nuts with washer. Attach the lid to the slide.
•Fasten Velcro strips on each rod and screw in the screws on the rod
extensions. The tension must be considered (attach cable straps on the
corner rods).
•Line up the shade part and pull tight the screws at the top of the carrying
arm.

3. Preparation for the replacement of cable wire, gear, engine, spindle and
sliding blocks
•Lay shade poles on the table and loosen screw. Then knock out the bolt
until the carrying arm can be moved freely.

•Loosen cable wire. Twist the grub screws out using the screwdriver.
•Twist out top link screw and knock out the bolt with a punch.

•Pulleys with rope guide in mounted state.
•If the bolt is pulled out of the carrying arm, the pulleys can be taken out at
the pole end.

•In the next work step, the slide can be pulled out of the mast. Make sure
that the castors are not lost.
Dismantling of the slide is only necessary if it is not sliding smoothly on
the pole (jerky movement).
4. Dismantling of spindle, motor, gear and sliding blocks
•Unscrew 4 countersink screws for fastening the gear.

•The lower cable wire must be pulled in and preloaded so that the pulley
comes out at the pole slit and the other end is fastened to the slide.
•rope attachment on the slide; screw should not be seen on any side.
•The upper link and the carrying arm are fastened in reverse order as
described under point 3.
