eO+ WORK STATIONS WITH OVERHEAD STORAGE UNITS INSTALLATION RULES
IMPORTANT: When specifying and installing eO+ workstations with overhead storage units (shelves and overheads) and/or worksurfaces, the following
rules must be followed. Failure to adhere to these rules may compromise the integrity of the installation and void the warranty.
Rule #1
Panels supporting overhead storage units and/or worksurfaces must be vertically stabilized. These panels must have worksurfaces attached to the
panels using any combination of the following:
Mid-Support Gables (EMSG2xxP)
End Gables (FEG2xxP)
Worksurface Supporting Pedestals with Pedestal Connecting Brackets (GWPSxxxxF/EPTPBK)
Wing panels that are the same width as the depth of the worksurface and incorporate a set of Corner Brackets (EWSB)
Rule #2
Panels supporting overhead storage units must have panels of equal height on either side.
Rule #3
The width of an overhead storage unit must correspond with the width of the supporting panel.

Rule #4
Wherever possible "balance" the layout by using the same size and type of overhead storage unit on both sides of the same panel.
This type of layout will ensure strait panel runs.
Rule #5
48" and 60" wide overhead storage units require corner posts and wing panels on both sides of the supporting panel.
Rule #6
A run of panels without worksurfaces should be no longer than 9'-0" and must be supported with (A) wing panels at both ends, (B) a wing panel at one
end and a Self-Supporting Foot (EESF-1) at the other end, or (C) (not shown) a wing panel at one end and a Floor Mount (EEFM) at the other end. Note:
Floor Mounts must be bolted to the floor.

Worksurface Installation
1. Corner Brackets – typically used to support worksurfaces at the corners. They are “handed” metal brackets. Brackets are shipped in
pairs.
2. Mid-Support Gable – used to attach two adjacent worksurfaces to a run of panels and provides solid support along a run of panels.
Should be used anywhere a worksurface spans two panels. Available in 10” depth for 18” & 24” deep worksurfaces and 16” depth for 30”
deep worksurfaces.
3. Flat Bracket – Some configurations require a Flat Bracket to add support or to level two adjacent worksurfaces.
4. End Gable – used at the end of a run of worksurfaces to support the worksurface and provide stability to panels. Available in 24” and 30”
depths.
5. Worksurface Supporting Pedestal – can be used in lieu of Corner Brackets or End Gables to support a worksurface and provide a
finished look to the end of a run of worksurfaces. Available in 24” and 30” depths.
6. Worksurfaces – are furnished with metal inserts for “metal-to-metal” connection.
Corner Brackets
A Corner Bracket attaches any corner of a worksurface to a panel.
1. Identify left or right bracket for correct positioning (right shown).
2. Insert the upper corner of the bracket into the panel slot and pull upward.
3. Pivot downward to latch in the remaining hooks of the bracket.
4. Set the bracket securely in the panel slots with a rubber mallet.

End Gable
An End Gable attaches a worksurface to a panel and provides solid support at the end of a run of worksurfaces. Identify the correct setting of the
Worksurface Mounting Brackets left or right, and install the Panel Mounting Brackets accordingly.
1. Align the holes of the two Panel Mounting Brackets with the pilot holes of the End Gable.
2. Drive the supplied screws into the End Gable.
3. Hook the Panel Mounting Brackets into the slots of the panel
4. Adjust the leveling glides to ensure that the brackets are fully engaged into the panel slots.
5. Attach the Worksurface Mounting Brackets (A) to underside of worksurface using bolts and screws supplied.
Mid-Support Gable
A Mid-Support Gable attaches two adjoining worksurfaces to a panel and provides solid support along the run of worksurfaces.
NOTE:
• Should be used anywhere a worksurface spans two panels.
• Must always be used to provide additional rigidity to panels (other than at a corner) where shelves or overhead storage units are specified.
Install the Worksurface Mounting Brackets (A) at right angles to the Mid-Support Gable, and install the panel mounting brackets accordingly.
1. While ensuring that the bracket hooks are pointing downward, align the holes of the two Panel Mounting Brackets with the pilot holes of
the Mid-Support Gable.
2. Drive the supplied screws into the Mid-Support Gable.
3. Hook the Panel Mounting Brackets into the slots of the panel and tap with a rubber mallet.
4. Adjust the leveling glides to ensure that the brackets are fully engaged into the panel slots.
5. Attach the Worksurface Mounting Brackets (A) to underside of worksurface using bolts and screws supplied.

Worksurface Supporting Pedestals
According to your plan, select the type of pedestal to be used for worksurface support. Identify which side of the pedestal is to be attached to the panel
slots and attach the Pedestal Connecting Brackets accordingly.
1. While ensuring that the bracket hooks are pointing downward, align the outer corner of the top Pedestal Connecting Bracket with the outer
edge of the pedestal just below the top lip (A).
2. Hold the bracket in position and drive the supplied two self-drilling screws through the bracket into the rear wall of the pedestal.
3. Align the bottom corner of the lower Pedestal Connecting Bracket with the bottom corner of the pedestal.
4. Repeat procedure #2.
5. Screw the glides all the way into the pedestal.
6. Remove the drawers.
7. Lower the pedestal down into the panel slots so that the Pedestal Connecting Bracket hooks fully engage into the panel slots and tap the
top corner of the pedestal with a rubber mallet to ensure the hooks are seated.
8. Adjust all pedestal glides while making sure that the brackets do not become disengaged from the panel slots. Proceed with the installation
of the worksurfaces.
9. Fasten the pedestal by driving self-drilling screws (supplied) through the pedestal top into the underside of the worksurface.

Overhead Storage Installation
Overhead Storage Unit
NOTE:
• Always ensure that all overhead storage units are attached to a panel that has either an adjacent 66” panel or 66” post connected to it on both sides.
• Always ensure that wing panel, Mid-Support Gable, End Gable or Worksurface Supporting Pedestal is attached to each side of a panel that supports
an overhead storage unit.
Identify the left and right end gable and determine their location in the panel slots.
1. Insert the upper hook of the end gable into the panel slot and pull upward.
2. Pivot downward and latch the remaining hooks into the panel slots.
3. When both end gables are set, lay the shelf on the lips of the ends and align the screw holes.
4. Secure the shelf by driving the supplied screws through the end gable into the bottom of the shelf.
5. Place the top and door assembly on the top ledge of the end gable assembly.
6. Secure the top by driving supplied screws through the top ledge into the metal top.

Low Profile Shelf
NOTE:
• Always ensure that all overhead storage units are attached to a panel that has either an adjacent 66” panel or 66” post connected to it on both sides.
• Always ensure that wing panel, Mid-Support Gable, End Gable or Worksurface Supporting Pedestal is attached to each side of a panel that supports
an overhead storage unit.
Identify the left and right end gable and determine their location in the panel slots.
