Basic Operating Instructions
Upon first using the safe, turn the black power switch located on the inside
of the door next to the hinge to the on position
LOCKING THE SAFE WITH A CODE
1) Enter any 4-digit code into the safe keypad and press the “Lock”
button.
2) The safe’s display will read “CLOSE” and the safe will lock.
3) To open, enter the same code.
4) The safe’s display will read “OPEN” and the safe will unlock.
5) The safe’s memory will clear and the user may now lock the safe with
a different code.
RESET SAFES TO FACTORY SETTINGS
ON THE KEYPAD OF THE SAFE
Press “Clear” twice, PROG will show on the LED
Input 964117, Press “Lock” “RESET” will show on the LED
The safe is now reset to the factory settings including the 0000 for the CEU.
USING THE MANUAL KEY
1) Remove the silver plaque from the front of the safe using an allen
wrench.
2) Insert the key and turn clockwise to open the safe.
3) With the safe in the unlocked position and the key still inserted enter
1,2,3,4 on the keypad and press the lock button. The key will rotate
back into the locked position. You will need to help the key rotate
back to avoid getting stuck.
4) In the locked position remove the key and enter 1,2,3,4 to bring the
safe to the unlocked position and remove the key.

Setting the date & time is the last step in
programming the safes. All other programming must
be done before setting the time on the safes
1) With the safe door unlocked, press the “Clear” button twice.
PROG will appear on screen.
2) Input 055261 and press “Lock”. The word DATE will appear
followed by a series of numbers representing the date.
3) The date will now appear in yy/mm/dd format. Change the
date by entering the new date in the same format and press
“Lock”.
4) The time will appear in hh/mm/ss format. Change the time by
entering the new time in the same format and press “Lock”.
The word GOOD will appear.
5) The new date and time have now been set.
BATTERY USE
The batteries will last between 12-18 months with normal use. Each safe
operates on 4 AA alkaline batteries. If the batteries begin to run low, the
message BATT-L will appear on the screen. At this point, you should
change the batteries in the safe.

NOT TO CAUSE HARM OR INJURY TO ANYONE
IT IS THE OWNER OF THE SAFES RESPONSIBILITY TO KEEP
TRACK OF THE KEY NUMBER OF THE SAFES. YOU WILL FIND
THE KEY NUMBER ON THE CARTON OF THE SAFE
