Installation Of The TFT TV To The Wall
1- To install the TFT TV on the wall, first of all, foot assembly should be removed. (Figure 1).
Unscrew the 4 screws (4 x 6) that attach the foot assembly to the TFT panel and remove
the foot assembly from the TFT panel.
2- Place the 4 plastic pins to the circular screw holes at the rear of the TFT and screw them to
the TFT panel with 4 (6 x 20) screws.
3- Decide the place on the wall where the TFT panel would be placed. Fix the stencil wall
mount (shown in Figure 2) on the wall.
The stencil wall mount is used for placing the wall hangers on the wall, properly.
4- Level and mark with a pencil the 4 mounting points on each wall hanger.
Drill pilot holes for the plastic anchors (7x30) and then fix the wall hangers with 8 screws
(4 x 30).
5- Raise the TFT panel and hang it to the holes on the wall hanger from the 4 hanging
screws at the rear of the TFT panel.
Important note: This panel should only be hung on a brick or block wall, it must not be hung
on a plasterboard or a stud wall.

Safety Precautions
1. Power Source
The receiver should be operated only from a
230-240 AC, 50 Hz. outlet.
2. Power Cord
The power supply cable should be placed
so that it is not likely to be walked on or
pinched by items placed upon them or
against it. Pay particular attention to cord
where it enters the plug, power outlet, and
the point where it exits from the receiver.
3. Moisture and Water
Do not use this equipment in a humid and
damp place (avoid the bathroom, the sink in
the kitchen, and near the washing machine).
Do not expose this equipment to rain or wa-
ter, as this may be dangerous and do not
place objects filled with liquids on top. Avoid
from dripping or splashing.
4. Cleanin
Before cleaning, unplug the receiver from
the main supply, outlet. Do not use liquid or
aerosol cleaners. Use soft and dry cloth.
5. Ventilation
The slots and openings on the receiver are
intended for ventilation and to ensure reli-
able operation. To prevent overheating,
these openings must not be blocked or cov-
ered in anyway.

ing on holiday, disconnect the power cord
from the wall outlet.
7. Servicin
Please refer all servicing to qualified per-
sonnel. Do not remove cover as this may re-
sult in electric shock.
8. Naked Flame Sources
Do not place naked flame sources on the
apparatus.
WARNING: When the device is not in use
for a long time, disconnect from power.
Instructions for waste disposal:
 Packaging and packaging aids are recy-
clable and should principally be recycled.
Packaging materials, such as foil bag, must
be kept away from children.
 Battery, including those which is heavy
metal-free, should not be disposed of with
household waste. Please dispose of used
battery in an environmentally sound man-
ner. Find out about the legal regulations
which apply in your area.

Preparation
For ventilation, leave a space of at least 10
cm free all around the set. To prevent any
fault and unsafe situations, please do not
place any objects on top of the set.
Use this apparatus in moderate climate.
Before Switching On The TV
Power Connection
IMPORTANT: The TV set is designed to op-
erate on 230-240 AC, 50 Hz.
 After unpacking, allow the TV set to reach the
ambient room temperature before you con-
nect the set to the mains.
Connections To The RF Input

 Connect the aerial plug to the RF input
socket located at the back of the TV.
How To Connect Other Devices
IMPORTANT: witch off the TV before con-
necting any external device.

Insertin Batteries In The Remote
Control Handset
 Insert the batteries observing the correct po-
larities as shown below.
 Remove the battery cover located on the
back of the handset by gently pulling up-
wards from the indicated part.
 Insert two AAA or equivalent type batteries
inside.
 Replace the battery cover.
NOTE: Remove batteries from remote con-
trol handset when it is not to be used for a
long period.Otherwise it can be damaged
due to any leakage of batteries.
Switching The TV ON/OFF
To switch the TV on:
1- Connect the power supply cable to the
system. Press On/Off switch at the rear of
the TV. Then the TV switches itself to stand-
by mode and the blue LED on the front
panel illuminates.
2- To switch on the TV from stand-by mode
either:
Press a digit button on the remote control so
that a programme number is selected,
or,
Press  , "-P/CH" or "P/CH+" button at the

side of the TV or press -P/CH or P/CH+
button on the remote control.
The TV will switch on and the LED extin-
guish.
To switch the TV off:
 Press the stand-by button on the remote
control, the TV will switch to stand-by mode
and the LED will illuminate Blue,
or,
Press the   button located on the side of
the TV, the TV will switch off and the LED will
illuminate Blue.
or,
To power down the TV completely, press
On/Off switch,
or unplug the power cord from the mains
socket.
Initial Settings
When the TV is turned on for the first time, it
defaults to IDTV function.
Because this is the first time that IDTV has
been used, there are no channels stored in
the memory and the following message
appears on the screen.

 To start installation process, select Yes,
to cancel select No.
 To select an option Yes or No, highlight
the item by using or buttons and
press OK button.
The IDTV will automatically tune to the UHF
transmision channels 21 to 68 looking for
digital terrestrial TV broadcasts and display-
ing the names of channels found. This pro-
cess will take about five minutes. To cancel
searching, press MENU button at any time
during the process.

In initial aps menu:
 Using or buttons, highlight the lan-
guage item and select the language in
which the menus of the TV will appear. To
see the available languages using or
buttons. As soon as a change is made to
the language, the menu items will be dis-
played in the selected language.
 Using the or buttons highlight the
country item and select your country us-
ing or buttons. This will affect the sort
process in initial aps.
 To close initial aps menu, press /DTV
button.
During initial aps the message below ap-
pears on the screen.

will appear on the screen. In the programme
list the programme numbers and names
assigned to the programmes will be shown.

If the locations and / or the programme
names of programmes are incorrect these
can be changed in the Programming menu.
For details see Programming menu on
page 28.
To display channel list in IDTV, switch to the
IDTV via pressing /DTV button. Then
press MENU button to enter main menu,
Channel List will be highlighted press  E-
LECT button to enter the menu. For detailed
information see page 14.
Basic Operations
Operation with the buttons on the
TV
olume Setting
 Press -  button to decrease volume or
 + button to increase volume, a volume
level scale (slider) will be displayed in the
middle of the bottom on the screen.
Programme Selection
Press "P/CH+" button to select the next
programme or "PCH-" button to select the
previous programme.
Entering Main Menu
 Press MENU button to enter Main menu. In
the Main menu select sub-menu using - P/
CH or P/CH + buttons and enter the sub-
menu using -  or  + buttons.
Operation with Remote Control
The remote control handset of this TV is de-
signed to control all the functions of the TV.

Press " +" button to increase volume.
Press "- " button to decrease volume. A
volume level scale (slider) will be displayed
at the centre bottom of the screen.

Programme Selection (Previous or next
programme)
 Press - P/CH button to select the previous
programme.
 Press P/CH + button to select the next
programme.
Programme Selection (direct access):
Press digit buttons on the remote control to
select programmes between 0 and 9. TV
will switch to the selected programme. To
select programmes between 10 - 999 for
IDTV and 0-99 for analogue TV, press the
digit buttons consecutively (eg. for
programme 27, first press 2 and then 7).
Press directly the programme number to
reselect single digit programmes.
Hint: The channel list numbers are assigned by the
broadcasters. Because not all channels are broadcast
free-to-air and stored by the receiver, the channel list
numbers do not run continuously. The fifteenth channel in
the list, for example, may not be channel number 15 but
channel number 17.
Hint: If a number hich does not correspond to a stored
channel is input, the next valid channel number is se-
lected instead. If a number greater than the highest num-
bered channel in the channel list is input, the IDTV ill
select the last channel in the list.

veryday Operation
Pressing the  /DTV button at any time
while watching television programmes will
switch the TV set between the digital terres-
trial television broadcasting and the ana-
logue broadcasting.
Information Banner
 Whenever changing channel, using the P/
CH + or - P/CH buttons or the number but-
tons, TV displays the channel picture along
with an information banner at the bottom of
the screen. This will remain on the screen
for approximately three seconds.
 The information banner can also be
displayed at any time while watching TV by
pressing the INFO button on the remote
control and disappears after a while.
The information banner gives a number of
facts on the channel selected and the
programmes on it.
 The name of the channel is displayed,
along with its channel list number and an
indication of the strength of the signal
received on this tuning channel.
 The current and next programme
information is given with the start and finish
time.
 The current time information is displayed
along with the channel name.
Hint
Not all channels broadcast the programme data. If
the name and times of the programme is not avail-
able then No Information Available is displayed in
the information banner.
Icons are also displayed in the information
banner.
If the channel is set as favourite channel,
is displayed next to the channel.
If the selected channel is locked, the correct
four digit code must be entered to view the
channel.

ELECTRONIC PROGRAMME
GUIDE (EPG)

information about the current and next
events. Please note that event information is
updated automatically. If there is no event
information data available in channels, only
channel names with No Information
Available banner is displayed.
 Press GUIDE button to view the EPG
menu.
 In EPG Menu, you can easily see the ex-
tended help information by pressing INFO
button and by pressing this button again you
can close this window.
 In the EPG Menu all channels are dis-
played. Current channel is highlighted when
you enter the EPG menu.
 Use or buttons to change channels.
Also press or buttons to make page
up/down scroll for the channels. And press
 ELECT button to watch the highlighted
channel.
 If a programme is highlighted a short de-
scription, extended description, start and fin-

ish times of the programme are displayed
on the screen.
 When the current programme is high-
lighted, the box is switched to the highlighted
channel by pressing  ELECT button.
 Pressing  ELECT button when a future
programme is highlighted, sets a reminder
for the highlighted programme and a clock
Icon appears adjacent to the highlighted
channel.
When a programme reminder time is
reached a message will appear on the
screen advising that the TV will switch to the
channel the reminder was set for unless se-
lect is pressed to cancel the switch.
 Press MENU to view the 7 day EPG.
 Press or buttons to navigate in
Channels or Programmes.
 Press or buttons to navigate through
the channel and programme list.
 With RED/GREEN buttons the time win-
dow in the schedule can be adjusted press-
ing YELLOW/BLUE moves the day dis-
played forward or backwards in the guide.
 Press INFO button to see the detailed
help information pressing INFO button
again exits the Help menu.
 The starting time for EPG is the current
time. Programme information for the follow-
ing 2 hours is shown in the guide pane.
Press or buttons, to move through the
available programme information in the
guide.
Displayin The Subtitles
With Digital terrestrial broadcasting (DVB-T),
some programmes are broadcast with sub-
titles. ubtitles can be displayed when
watching such programmes.
Press MENU button to display the Main
menu, highlight the Configuration item us-
ing or buttons and press  ELECT
button to display the Configuration menu.
Highlight the Subtitle item in Configura-
tion menu and use or buttons to set
ubtitle to off or a language.
If Subtitle is on via selecting one lan-
guage option, pressing button causes
the following warning message display on
the screen.

DIGITAL TELETEXT
With Digital terrestrial broadcasting (DVB-T),
in addition to pictures and sound, there is
also digital teletext.
1. Press the button.
The digital teletext information appears.
2. Operate it with the colour buttons, / /
/ buttons and OK button.
The operation method may differ depending
on the contents of the digital teletext.

Follow the instructions displayed on digital
teletext screen.
 When Press ELECT button or similar
message appears on the screen, press the
 ELECT button.
 When the (Text) button is pressed, the
TV returns to television broadcasting.
 With Digital terrestrial broadcasting (DVB-
T), in addition to digital teletext broadcasting
at the same time as normal broadcasting,
there are also channels with just digital tele-
text broadcasting.
 The aspect ratio when watching a channel
with just digital teletext broadcasting is the
same as the aspect ratio of the picture
watched previously.
 Press the (Text) button again, the digi-
tal teletext screen is displayed.
Over Air Download
Over Air Download (OAD): To ensure that
this IDTV always has the most up-to-date
software. Please ensure that after use it is
set to its standby mode. At 3AM each day,
the IDTV automatically searches for any new
software which may be broadcast and will
download this to the IDTV automatically.
This operation will normally take approxi-
mately 30 seconds.
For this to happen the automatic download
option needs to be Enabled in Receiver
Upgrade setting. For details see page 18.
Widescreen
Depending on the type of broadcast being
transmitted, programmes can be viewed in
a number of formats. Press the WIDE
button and use or buttons repeatedly
to select between fill all (16:9), zoom,
letterbox, subtitles, normal, 14:9, cinema
or auto.
When Auto is selected, the format being dis-
played is determined by the broadcast.
Please Note: Menu size changes depending
on the chosen image size.
IDTV Menu System
The IDTV menu can only be shown when
watching Digital terrestrial broadcasting.
Press /DTV button to turn IDTV on while
TV is in analogue mode.

Channel List
Using or buttons on the remote con-
trol in make sure that the first item, Channel
List, is highlighted and press the  ELECT
button to display the Channel List.
The following operations can be performed
in this menu:
1. Navigating the list of channels
2. Deleting channels
3. Renaming channels
4. Adding locks to channels
5. Setting favourites
Channel List is the place where the chan-
nels are managed.

Navigating the whole channel list
 Press or buttons for selecting the
previous or next channel.
 Press or buttons to move page up or
page down.
To watch a specific channel, highlight it us-
ing or buttons and then press  E-
LECT button, while the Select item on
Channel List menu is highlighted by using
or buttons.
Then the name and number of the selected
channel will be displayed in the top-left and
top-right of the channel display at the top-
right of the screen, respectively.
Deleting the channels in the channel list
Press or buttons to select the
channel that will be deleted.
Press or buttons to select the Delete
item on Channel List menu.
Press  ELECT button to delete the high-
lighted channel in the channel list.

Renaming channels
To rename a specific channel, the channel

Now using or buttons moves to the
previous/next character. Pressing or
buttons toggles the current character, i.e., b
character becomes a on and c on .
Pressing the numeric buttons 0...9 re-
places the highlighted character with the
characters printed above the key one by one
as the button is pressed.
Press the MENU button to cancel editing
and  ELECT button to save the new name.
Adding locks to channels
Channel Locking provides a password-
protected access to channels selected by
parents.
In order to lock a channel the parental lock
password is required (default value is set to
0000 in the factory and can only be changed
from the Configuration Menu).
Using or buttons, highlight the chan-
nel to be locked and select the Lock op-
tion using or buttons.Then press
the ELECT button, a password box is dis-
played. Enter the lock key (0000 default
value). To unlock the locked channel press
 ELECT button while the locked channel is
highlighted.

Setting Favourites
To set various channels as favourites so
that only the favourite channels are navi-
gated. To set a favourite highlight the
Favourites item at bottom of the Channel
List menu.
Use or buttons to highlight the
Favourites item at the base of the screen
and then, in turn, highlight each channel to
add to the favourites list, using the or
buttons (or / buttons), and press  E-
LECT button.
A channel selected as a favourite appears
in the main channel list with a favourites
icon   against the channel name.

This tuning menu consists of two parts:
·Automatic earch
·Manual earch
Automatic Search:
Automatic search is started by pressing
SELECT button in the auto-search pop up
menu. All the services are searched and a
channel table is created automatically.
All channels found are stored in a sorted
form with respect to their channel numbers.
ome services may not appear with the cor-
rect channel number. At the time of printing,
not all broadcasters are sending their chan-
nel number information.

Manual Search:
In manual search, the channel number of
the multiplex is entered manually and only
that multiplex is searched for the channels.
For every valid channel number, signal level,
signal quality and network name are shown
at the bottom of the screen.
In both manual and auto search any existing
channel in the database is not re-stored to
avoid redundant duplicates of that channel.
FIRST TIME INSTALLATION
The user can use this item to load default
settings, which had been loaded to the re-
ceiver at the factory.

Audio Language
Digital terrestrial television channels can
broadcast simultaneous sountracks in
more than one language. This function
selects which language soundtrack you will
hear when switching to a channel broad-
casting with the multiple soundtracks.
Highlight the Audio Language item in the
configuration menu and use or but-
tons to cycle through the language options.
Subtitle
Digital terrestrial television channels can
broadcast with subtitles displayed on-
screen for the hard-of-hearing. This function
selects the desired subtitle language and
enables the automatic display of subtitles
whenever subtitle information is broadcast.
Highlight the Subtitle item in the Configura-
tion menu and use or buttons to cycle
through Off and language options.
Return to normal TV viewing by pressing the
MENU button.
Favourite Mode
This function enables or disables the
favourite channel list mode. ee Channel
List menu Favourites on page 16.
Use or buttons to turn favourite mode
on/off. If the Favourite Mode is on, in
normal operating mode pressing P/CH+
and -P/CH buttons will only navigate
through the channels that were previously
defined as favourites in Channel List.
If there is no favourite channel in the
Channel List menu, the following warning
message appears on the screen during
Favourite Mode adjustment.

EPG Preference
Digital terrestrial television channels can
broadcast simultaneous Next&Now and 7-
Day electronic programme.
Highlight the EPG Preference item in the
Configuration menu and use the or
buttons to select Next&Now or 7-Day.
Receiver Upgrade
The IDTV can be upgraded via the configura-
tion menu.
In the configuration menu, highlight the Re-
ceiver Upgrade item by pressing or
buttons and press  ELECT button to start
upgrade process.
There are two possibilities for Receiver
software to be upgraded: automatic and
manual.

Automatic Download (Automatic upgrade)
Automatic Download can be enabled or
disabled by pressing or buttons. If it is
enabled, then there are two ways for
automatic upgrade.
The first one is checking the existence of
new software every time the IDTV goes to
standby. The second one is waking up at

03:00 a.m. every night, provided that the
IDTV is left in standby mode.
If the automatic upgrade is set to 'Disabled'
then this function will not work.
Search For New ersion (Manual upgrade)
Manual upgrade starts if the Search for
New ersion item is highlighted by using
or buttons and activated via pressing
SELECT button.
After Search for New ersion is activated,
the IDTV tunes to each frequency that have
been stored in its database and looks for
the new software.

Parental Settings
ome channels broadcast material which
may be unsuitable for younger viewers. Any
channel can be locked so that it cannot be
selected for viewing without first a four-digit
PIN code being entered. In this way any
channel not suitable for younger viewers can
be protected.
This function enables or disables the menu
protection system and allows the PIN code
to be changed. Channel And Menu
Protection Lock feature.
Use or buttons to go to Parental
ettings option. Press  ELECT button to
enter Parental ettings Menu. A box asking
for the lock key is displayed.

There is only one key which is set to 0000
initially. Enter lock key. If wrong Lock key is
entered, the following message is displayed
on the screen.

It's possible to set/reset locking for the Main
Menu, or the Installation Menu to restrict ac-
cess. If the menu lock is disabled, there will
be free access to the menu system. Also in
this menu it is possible to change the lock
key and set/change parental lock mode.
Disabled: All menus are unlocked.
Main Menu: Main menu is accessible only
with the correct lock key. o the user cannot
add, delete, rename, move channels, cannot
set timers.
Installation: Installation menu is locked, so
the user cannot add channels.
Changes will be updated after exiting Con-
figuration Menu.
Timers
Display the Main Menu by pressing the
MENU button. Highlight the Timers item by
pressing or buttons and press  E-
LECT button to display the Timer menu.

Up to five separate timer events can be set
and each is displayed in the Timer screen,
showing the event number, the channel to
be selected, the start time, end time, date
and the mode - whether that event is active
