(21)inplaceoftheneedlevalve.

Settheagitatorspeedusingtheknob(16)on
thetopofthespeedcontroller.Turntheknob
counterclockwise(outward)toincreaseagitator
speed.Turntheknobclockwise(inward)todecrease
agitatorspeed.Oncethedesiredagitatorspeedis
set,thespeedcontrollerwillmaintainthatspeedby
regulatingtheair󰘱owtotheairmotor.

Removetheneedle(13).andliberallylubricatethe
needleando-ring(33)withmulti-purposelithiumbased
grease.
Thespeedcontrollerdoesnotmaintainaconsistent
speed,orthespeedrapidly󰘱uctuates.
Replacetheneedle(13),u-cup(11),ando-ring(33),
usingRepairKit24J886.
Uponstartup,themotorrunsawayforafewseconds
beforethespeedcontrollerslowsitdown.
Ensurethatthecompressionnut(24)and󰘱ange
connector(23)aresecurelytightenedtothemotorshaft.

Thespeedcontrollerdoesnotshutofftheairmotor
whentheknobisturnedallthewaydown,orthespeed
cannotbereducedbyturningtheknobdown.
Replacetheneedle(13),o-ring(18),andbearing(20),
usingRepairKit24J886.

1.Disconnectthemainairlinetothespeed
controller.
2.Disconnectthetube(27)connectingthespeed
controllerandairmotor.
3.Unscrewtheadjustmentnut(15)fromtheupper
housing(2).Turntheknob(16)fullyclockwise
(inward)toaccesstheo-ring(18)onthebottom
plateoftheseat(14).Removetheo-ringand
replacewiththenewo-ring(18*).Lubricatethe
o-ring.
4.Removethelargeo-ring(19)ontheupper
housing(2).Replacewithanewo-ring(19*).
Lubricatetheo-ring.
5.Unscrewtheupperhousing(2)fromthelower
housing(1).Thedriveshaft(4)andcamarms(8)
maycomeoutofthelowerassembly.
6.Removethetwoballbearingassemblies(3,20)
fromthedriveshaft(4).Replacewiththenew
ballbearingassemblies.Installthelargerball
bearingassembly(3)onthebottomoftheshaft.
Installthesmallerballbearingassembly(20*)on
thetopoftheshaft,abovethelargewasher(12).

NOTE:Theballbearingassemblieseachconsist
ofonebearingandtwowashers.Placeone
washerabovethebearingandtheotherwasher
belowthebearingbeforeinstallingtheassembly.
7.Pushtheneedle(13)outoftheupperhousing
(2)fromthetop.Usingano-ringpick,remove
theu-cup(11)ando-ring(33)fromtheupper
housing.Lubricatethenewo-ring(33*)and
u-cup(11*)andinstallintheupperhousing.The
lipsoftheu-cupmustfaceup.
8.Lubricatethenewneedle(13*)andinstallinthe
upperhousing(2)fromthebottom,beingsureto
alignthe󰘱atfaceontheneedlewiththemating
󰘱atsurfaceinthehousing.
9.Ensurethatthecamarms(8)alignwiththe
grooveonthebottomsideofthelargewasher
(12).Installthedriveshaft(4)andcamarm
assemblyintothelowerhousing(1),makingsure
thebearing(3*)seatsfullyintherecessofthe
housing.
10.Screwtheupperhousing(2)fullyontothelower
housing(1).
11.Turntheadjustmentknob(16)alltheway
counterclockwise(outward).Screwthe
adjustmentnut(15)fullyontotheupperhousing
(2).
12.Connecttheairtubing(27)betweenthespeed
controllertubeconnector(29)andtheairmotor
tubeconnector(21).
13.Returntheunittoservice.Connectthemainair
linetothequick-disconnect󰘰tting(28)onthe
speedcontroller.
