Warnings
Warnings
The following warnings are for the setup, use, grounding, maintenance, and repair of this equipment. The exclama-
tion point symbol alerts you to a general warning and the hazard symbol refers to procedure-specific risk. Refer
back to these warnings. Additional, product-specific warnings may be found throughout the body of this manual
where applicable.
WARNING
ELECTRIC SHOCK HAZARD
Improper grounding, setup, or usage of the system can cause electric shock.
• Turn off and disconnect power cord before servicing equipment.
• Use only grounded electrical outlets.
• Use only 3-wire extension cords.
• Ensure ground prongs are intact on sprayer and extension cords.
• Do not expose to rain. Store indoors.
SKIN INJECTION HAZARD
High-pressure fluid from dispense valve, hose leaks, or ruptured components will pierce skin. This may
look like just a cut, but it is a serious injury that can result in amputation. Get immediate surgical
treatment.
• Do not point dispense valve at anyone or at any part of the body.
• Do not put your hand over the end of the dispense nozzle.
• Do not stop or deflect leaks with your hand, body, glove, or rag.
• Follow Pressure Relief Procedure in this manual, when you stop spraying and before cleaning,
checking, or servicing equipment.
TOXIC FLUID OR FUMES HAZARD
Toxic fluids or fumes can cause serious injury or death if splashed in the eyes or on skin, inhaled, or
swallowed.
• Read MSDS’s to know the specific hazards of the fluids you are using.
• Store hazardous fluid in approved containers, and dispose of it according to applicable guidelines.
• Always wear impervious gloves when spraying or cleaning equipment.
FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARD
Flammable fumes, such as solvent and paint fumes, in work area can ignite or explode. To help prevent
fire and explosion:
• Use and clean equipment only in well ventilated area.
• Eliminate all ignition sources; such as pilot lights, cigarettes, portable electric lamps, and plastic drop
cloths (potential static arc).
• Keep work area free of debris, including solvent, rags and gasoline.
• Do not plug or unplug power cords or turn lights on or off when flammable fumes are present.
• Ground equipment, personnel, object being sprayed, and conductive objects in work area. See
Grounding instructions.
• Use only Graco grounded hoses.
• Check gun resistance daily.
• If there is static sparking or you feel a shock, stop operation immediately. Do not use equipment
until you identify and correct the problem.
• Do not flush with gun electrostatics on. Do not turn on electrostatics until all solvent is removed from
system.
• Keep a working fire extinguisher in the work area.

WARNING
EQUIPMENT MISUSE HAZARD
Misuse can cause death or serious injury.
• Do not operate the unit when fatigued or under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
• Do not exceed the maximum working pressure or temperature rating of the lowest rated system
component. See Technical Data in all equipment manuals.
• Use fluids and solvents that are compatible with equipment wetted parts. See Technical Data in all
equipment manuals. Read fluid and solvent manufacturer’s warnings. For complete information about
your material, request MSDS forms from distributor or retailer.
• Check equipment daily. Repair or replace worn or damaged parts immediately with genuine manu-
facturer’s replacement parts only.
• Do not alter or modify equipment.
• Use equipment only for its intended purpose. Call your distributor for information.
• Route hoses and cables away from traffic areas, sharp edges, moving parts, and hot surfaces.
• Do not kink or over bend hoses or use hoses to pull equipment.
• Keep children and animals away from work area.
• Comply with all applicable safety regulations.
MOVING PARTS HAZARD
Moving parts can pinch or amputate fingers and other body parts.
• Keep clear of moving parts.
• Do not operate equipment with protective guards or covers removed.
• Pressurized equipment can start without warning. Before checking, moving, or servicing equipment,
follow the Pressure Relief Procedure in this manual. Disconnect power or air supply.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT
You must wear appropriate protective equipment when operating, servicing, or when in the operating area
of the equipment to help protect you from serious injury, including eye injury, inhalation of toxic fumes,
burns, and hearing loss. This equipment includes but is not limited to:
• Protective eyewear
• Clothing and respirator as recommended by the fluid and solvent manufacturer
• Gloves
• Hearing protection
BURN HAZARD
Equipment surfaces and fluid that’s heated can become very hot during operation. To avoid severe burns,
do not touch hot fluid or equipment. Wait until equipment/fluid has cooled completely.

Identify Your Feed System
1. Your machine should include one of 5 feed system
options (see Figure 1 below)
A. On-Board Dual Polyethylene Tanks
B. On-Board Stainless Steel Tanks
C. 1-1/2” NPT Flange for attaching your own
feed package
D. A ccumulators
E. Off-Board Stainless Steel Tanks
F. Combination of One On-Board & One Off-
board Stainless Steel Tank
2. Each feed system has a variety of possible
options which will be covered in detail in
subsequent sections of this manual. Once you
have identified your feed system, please refer
back to the table of contents for the location of
your specific information

Polyethylene Lid Options
3. Polyethylene tanks have two lid options (see figure 2 below):
A. Plain with breather
B. With Electric Agitator (120VAC or 240VAC)
C. With Pneumatic Agitator
4. Regardless of lid type, begin by placing in the tank with the two flat side facing each other as shown above in
Figure 2

Low Level Sensor Option
5. If your tanks come with the Low-Level Sensors already installed, they will already be calibrated during factory
installation. However, if you order them at a later date, please follow the instructions below
NOTE: SENSORS MUST BE INSTALLED AND CALIBRATED ON AN EMPTY
TANK!
6. Install sensors as shown below with the screws
provided with the sensor kit
7. Plug the connector on the sensor into the connector
on the base machine

Be careful when reaching into the tanks to verify that the sensors are
functioning. Read all manufacturer’s warning and material MSDS to know the
specific hazards of the material used. Wear respirator, gloves and other
protective clothing as necessary before dispensing material.
Low Level Sensor Calibration
8. After plugging in the harness, locate the TEACH
ELEMENT in the area called out in the illustration to
the right. It will be marked with a “bullseye.”
A. Activate the teach element by holding a
screw-driver near the bullseye. Only hold the
screw-driver there until the GREEN LED
begins flashing, but no more than five (5)
seconds
B. After a short time, the GREEN LED will stay lit
continuously.
C. You are now in OPERATING MODE for that
sensor. Repeat with the other sensor.
9. If the tank is clean and you wish to check the sensor
and make sure it’s working before dumping material
in, you can simply reach your hand down inside the
tank and touch the tank wall in the sensor area. A
GREEN and YELLOW light illuminated at the same
time means the sensor is detecting your hand.
10. If the tank is empty, but not clean, please refer to
your MSDS sheets to determine what protective
measures must be taken before reaching into the
tank.
11. Please refer to manual 312393A for instructions on
interfacing the new sensors with your machine’s
HMI

Low-Level Sensor LED Indicators and Trouble Shooting
Green LED • ON = Unit is ready for operation
• Flashes Slowly (1Hz) = Adjustment mode in empty state
• Flashes Quickly (2Hz) = Adjustment mode full state
• OFF = Locking mode
Yellow LED • OFF = Switching output disabled
• ON = Switching output enabled
Red LED • ON = close to reaching the switching threshold
• Flashes Quickly (8Hz) = Adjustment Error, Internal Fault
Red & Yellow
LED’s Together
• Flashing Quickly (2Hz) simultaneously = Short Circuit in the switching output
Please note that the RED LED DOES NOT INDICATE MALFUNCTION of the unit. It indicates that the internal
sensor signal is near the switching threshold

Be careful when interacting with the polyethylene feed systems due to the contents
of the tanks. Read all manufacturer’s warning and material MSDS to know the
specific hazards of the material used. Wear respirator, gloves and other protective
clothing as necessary before dispensing material.
Always unplug the agitators from their power source (electric or pneumatic) before
performing any maintenance.
Hearing protection may be required if sitting in close proximity to the pneumatic
agitators
Installation / Maintenance and Repair
12. If the lids come with agitator assemblies, the
upright support comes with an extra clamp
assembly on both sides. Rotate the clamp up to
the position shown below (Figure 4), slide it all the
way into the handle areas as shown and insert the
tethered quick-release pin into the hole in the
support upright.
13. If necessary, to remove tanks from pump housing,
remove the two top screws holding the tank to
upright support and loosen (Note: There is no
need to completely remove) the six (6) socket
head cap screws that hold the tank to the pump
housing and rotate the lock rings counter
clockwise and lift the tanks off

14. If necessary, to remove tanks from pump housing,
remove the two top screws holding the tank to
upright support and remove the six (6) socket head
cap screws that hold the tank to the ball valve
assembly and lift the tanks off.
15. If necessary, to remove tank and ball valve
assembly from pump housing, remove the two top
screws holding the tank to upright support and
loosen (Note: There is no need to completely
remove) the six (6) socket head cap screws that
hold the tank to the pump housing and rotate the
ball valve assemblies counter clockwise and lift the
tanks off

16. Agitator assemblies require their own outlet and
power cable which will be provided with the unit.
Simply plug the appropriate in to a 120V/60Hz
Outlet and turn the power switch on.
17. If necessary, the fuse can be replaced by sliding
open the fuse drawer, removing the existing fuse
and replacing with the new one.
