WARNING
PRESSURIZED FLUID HAZARD
Spray from the gun, hose leaks, or ruptured components can
splash fluid in the eyes or on the skin and cause serious injury.
DFollow the Pressure Relief Procedure (page 7) when you
stop spraying and before cleaning, checking, or servicing
the equipment.
DCheck the hoses, tubes, and couplings daily. Tighten all
fluid connections before each use.
DKnow the specific hazards of the fluid you are using. Read
the fluid manufacturer’s warnings.
DWear appropriate protective clothing, gloves, eyewear, and
respirator.

WARNING
EQUIPMENT MISUSE HAZARD
Equipmentmisuse can cause the equipment to rupture, mal-
function, or start unexpectedly and result in a serious injury.
DRead all instruction manuals, tags, and labels before
operating the equipment.
DDo not exceed the maximum working pressure of the
lowest rated system component. This package has a
100 psi (0.7 MPa, 7 bar) maximum working pressure.
DDo not use hoses to pull equipment.
DWear hearing protection when operating this equipment.

WARNING
FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARD
Improper grounding, poor air ventilation, open flames, or sparks
can cause a hazardous condition and result in fire or explosion
and serious injury.
DGround the equipment, the object being sprayed, and all
other electrically conductive objects in the spray area.
See Grounding (page 13).
DElectrostatic guns require special grounding procedures.
Read and follow all grounding instructions in the gun
manual 309291, 309292.
DIf there is any static sparking while using the equipment,
stop spraying immediately. Identify and correct the
problem.
DProvide fresh air ventilation to avoid the buildup of
flammable vapors from the solvent or the fluid being
sprayed.
DEliminate all ignition sources such as pilot lights, cigarettes,
and static arcs from plastic drop cloths. Do not plug in or
unplug power cords or turn lights on or off in the spray area.

Follow steps 1–4 when you stop spraying and before cleaning, checking, or servicing the equipment.
1. Shut off the bleed-type air valve.

Turn the ES ON–OFF Lever to OFF.

3. Hold the gun firmly against a grounded metal pail and trigger the gun.
4. Place the drain tube in a waste pail.
