INTRODUCTION
Note to owners of Ultra 600, Models 231–307 and
231–325, and Ultimate 600, Model 820–183, airless
paint sprayers:
The 237–659 pressure control kit replaces the
236–815 pressure control kit used on Ultra 600 and
Ultimate 600 airless paint sprayers.
This kit of fers superior pressure regulation and in -
creases the maximum working pressure from 2750 psi
(195 bar) to 3000 psi (210 bar).
WARNING
PRESSURIZED EQUIPMENT HAZARD
If you supply your own hoses and spray
gun, be sure the hoses are electrically
conductive, that the gun has a tip guard
and that each part is rated for at least 3000 psi
(210 bar) W orking Pressure. This is to reduce the
risk of serious injury caused by static sparking, fluid
injection or over-pressurization and rupture of the
hose or gun.
V erify that all hoses, guns, fittings, and accessories
used on your sprayer are rated for the new 3000
psi working pressure.
NOTE: The spray gun and hose furnished in Model
231–307 are 3000 psi (210 bar) rated.
 Change your sprayer instruction manual to refer -
ence the new 3000 psi (210 bar) working pressure:
Ultra 600 Manual 308–319: Cover , 4, 6, 8, 9.
and 39;
Ultimate 600 Manual 820–182: Cover , 3, 5, 7, 8.
and 38.

Follow the Pressure Relief Procedure on page 2. Re -
fer to the Repair section of the applicable manual ref -
erenced above.

INJECTION HAZARD
Spray from leaks or ruptured components can inject fluid into your body and cause extremely seri -
ous injury , including the need for amputation. Fluid splashed in the eyes or on the skin can also
cause serious injury .
 Fluid injected into the skin may look like just a cut, but it is a serious injury . Get immediate medi -
cal attention.

Do not stop or deflect leaks with your hand, body , glove or rag.
 Follow the Pressure Relief Procedure below before cleaning, checking or servicing the equip -
ment.
T
ighten all fluid connections before operating the equipment.
 Check the hoses, tubes, and couplings daily . Replace worn or damaged parts immediately . Do
not repair high pressure couplings; you must replace the entire hose.
 Fluid hoses must have spring guards on both ends, to help protect them from rupture caused by
kinks or bends near the couplings.

Pressure Relief Procedure
1. Engage spray gun safety latch
2. Turn sprayer OFF.
3.
Unplug sprayer .
4.
Disengage spray gun safety latch
5. T rigger spray gun into waste container to relieve
pressure.
6.
Open drain valve.
7. Leave drain valve open until ready to spray again.
