Installation
Pressure Relief Procedure
1. Disconnect power source.
2. Loosen outlet fitting or alternate outlet. (FIG. 1)
Disassembly
Reference numbers used in the following instructions
refer to Parts, page 4.
1. Relieve pressure and remove pump from MVB
box.
2. Place pump upside down in a soft-jaw vise.
3. Depress piston guide (6) and remove self locking
ring (8e) and piston guide (6), ring retainer (8c), lock
washer (8g), piston retainer spring (1) and retention
spring (4) from the pump cylinder.
4. Remove pump from vise and turn it over. Replace
pump in soft-jaw vise with adjustment nut facing
upward.
5. Loosen set screw (8j) to relieve locking force on
cylinder and piston assembly. Removing the set
screw entirely is not necessary.
6. Remove pipe plug (8h). Unthread and remove
cylinder assembly (5).
NOTE:
• Care should be taken when removing cylinder
assembly. Do not cut or damage o-rings
(7b - 7e).
• Hold (a) (FIG. 2) with a 13/16 wrench when
removing pipe plug.
7. Inspect o-rings and backup rings (7b-7h) as
necessary. Replace damaged o-rings and
backup rings.
8. Remove pump cylinder from vise.
9. Place valve assembly (5) in vise and remove
indicator port adapter (a) (FIG. 2).
10. Remove valve assembly (5) from vise and remove
spring (3) and check ball (8a) from pump cylinder.
11. Inspect components and replace as needed.
SKIN INJECTION HAZARD
This equipment stays pressurized until pressure is
manually relieved. To help prevent serious injury such
as skin injection from pressurized fluid, follow the
Pressure Relief Procedure when you stop dispensing
and before cleaning, checking, or servicing the
equipment.

Reassembly
Reference numbers used in the following instructions
refer to Parts, page 4.
NOTE: Lubricate all o-rings and retaining rings (7 and 8)
with grease prior to installation
1. Reassemble o-rings, retaining rings (7) and
indicator port adapter (a) on piston valve assembly
(5). Refer to parts illustration provided on 4 for
proper orientation when reassembling these parts.
2. Place pump cylinder in soft-jaw vise right side up.
Install check ball (8a) and spring (3) in pump.
3. Install piston valve assembly (5) in pump cylinder.
4. Install pipe plug (8h).
NOTE:
• Hold (a) (FIG. 2) with a 13/16 wrench when
installing pipe plug.
5. Remove pump cylinder from vise and turn it over.
Replace pump in soft-jaw vise.
6. Install retention spring (4), spring retainer (1), ring
retainer, piston guide (6) and self locking ring (8e)
through bottom of pump cylinder.
7. Press on the piston guide (6) to assure free
movement of the piston.
8. Reinstall the pump on the MVB Gearbox.
9. Remove the pipe plug (8h) from the top of the
indicator adapter.
10. Bleed the pump of all air by cycling the pump until
oil flows from the port.
11. Re-install the plug (8h).
12. Set the adjustment to the desired output (page 4).
13. Tighten the cylinder retaining screw.
