4. Installation
4.1 Safety symbols on the pump
4.2 Changing the control box position
Observe the position of the clamp
before the clamp is tightened. Incorrect
position of the clamp will cause
leakage from the pump and damage
the hydraulic parts in the pump head.
Fit and tighten the screw holding the
clamp to 8 Nm ± 1 Nm. Note: Do not
apply more torque than specified even
though water is dripping from the
clamp. The water (condensed) is most
likely coming from the drain hole under
the clamp.
Warning
Observe local regulations setting limits
for manual lifting or handling.
Warning
Before dismantling the pump or related
parts, drain the system and close the
isolating valves on both sides of the
pump as the pumped liquid may be
scalding hot and under high pressure.

5. Electrical connection
Carry out the electrical connection and
protection according to local regulations.
Warning
When loosening the clamp, do not drop
the pump head.
Warning
Risk of escaping vapour.

Switch off the power supply before
making connections.

The pump must be connected to an
external mains switch with a minimum
contact gap of 3 mm in all poles.
Earthing or neutralisation can be used
for protection against indirect contact.
If the pump is connected to an electric
installation where an earth leakage
circuit breaker (ELCB) is used as an
additional protection, this circuit
breaker must trip when earth fault
currents with DC content (pulsating
DC) occur.
The earth leakage circuit breaker must
be marked with the first or both of the
symbols shown below:

It must be possible to lock the mains
switch in position 0. Type and
requirements as specified in EN
60204-1, 5.3.2.
