SAFETY AND SET-UP _________________________
Please read this instruction manual thoroughly before
using this appliance. Follow all the safety instructions
to avoid damage caused by improper use.
Keep this instruction manual for future reference. If this
appliance is given to a third party, then this instruction
manual must also be handed over.
 The appliance is designed for domestic use only. It
should not be used for any commercial purpose.
 This appliance shall not be used by children. Keep
the appliance and its cord out of reach of children.
 Appliances can be used by persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of
experience and knowledge if they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the
appliance in a safe way and if they understand the
hazards involved.
 If you do not follow the instructions detailed above
or misuse the appliance in any way, there is a
danger you may injure yourself or others.
 Children shall not play with the appliance.
 Always disconnect the blender from the power
supply if it is left unattended and before, assembling,
disassembling or cleaning, or if a fault occurs; do not
allow children to use the blender without supervision.

 Our GRUNDIG Household Appliances meet
applicable safety standards. Therefore, if the
appliance or supply cord (power cord) is damaged
it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service
agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid
a hazard. Faulty or unqualified repair work may
cause danger and risk to the user.
 The blades are very sharp! To avoid injury, care
should be taken when handling the sharp cutting
blades, emptying the bowl and during cleaning.
 Never clean the appliance with bare hands. Always
use a brush.
 Do not touch, attach or remove any of the
appliance’s moving parts until they have come to a
complete stop.
 Always keep hair, clothing and other objects away
from the appliance while it is in use to prevent injury
or damage.
 This appliance is only suitable for household use.
 Make sure that your local power supply
corresponds to the information on the label. The
only way to disconnect the appliance from the
power supply is to pull the power plug out of the
power outlet.

 Do not wrap the power cord around the appliance.
 For additional protection, this appliance should be
connected to a household residual current device
with a rating of no more than 30 mA. Consult your
electrician for advice.
 Do not submerge the appliance, the power cord or

 Avoid damaging the power cord by not squeezing,
bending or rubbing it on sharp edges. Keep the
power cord away from hot surfaces and open flames.
 Do not use an extension cord with the appliance.
 Never use the appliance if the power cord or the
appliance is damaged.
 Do not dismantle the appliance under any
circumstances. No warranty claims are accepted for
damage caused by improper handling.
 Do not leave this appliance unattended when it is in
use. Extreme caution is advised when the appliance
is being used near children and persons who are
restricted in their physical, sensory or mental abilities.
 Before using the appliance for the first time, carefully
clean all parts that come into contact with food or water.

 Dry the appliance and all accessories before
connecting it to a power supply and prior to
attaching the accessories.

 Do not operate the appliance without the ingredients
in the measuring beaker or chopping bowl.
 Never place the appliance, attachments, power
cord or plug on hot surfaces such as a gas or
electric burner, heated oven or hot liquids and food.
Let hot liquids or food cool down to 80ºC or less
before operation.
 Use this appliance for its intended purpose.
 Never switch on the appliance for longer than you
need to process the food.
 Never switch on the appliance with damp or wet hands.
 Only use the original accessories or those that are
recommended by the manufacturer.
 The appliance is designed to process only common
household quantities.
 Do not use the appliance if the blades are damaged
or show signs of wear.
 Always operate this appliance on a heat-resistant,
even, stable, dry, non-slip surface.
 Make sure that there is no danger that the power
cord could be accidentally pulled or that someone
could trip over it when the appliance is in use.
 Position the appliance so the plug is always accessible.

 Switch off the appliance and disconnect it from the
power supply (power socket) before changing the
accessories or approaching parts that move in use.
For example, disconnect it from the power supply
(power socket) before you use a spatula to remove the
food from the measuring beaker or chopping bowl.
 This appliance is not suitable for crushing ice or dry or
hard foods as the blades will quickly become blunt or
damaged.
 Remove bones and stones from food to prevent the
blades or appliance being damaged.
 To reduce the risk of injury, never fix the blades onto the
base when it is not sitting properly on a level surface.
 Make sure that the chopper’s lid is firmly fixed in
place before turning the appliance on.
 This appliance should not be in operation for longer
than 15 seconds if it is not processing anything.
 This appliance is intended for short periods of use and
may not be used for longer than 1 minute when blending
or chopping, or 3 minutes when whisking at one time.
After use, let the appliance cool down sufficiently.
 Only use the chopping blade with the chopping
bowl provided. Always take out the chopping blade
from the bowl before cleaning.
 Only use this appliance indoors. Do not use this
appliance in the bathroom or outside.

 Products sold in the UK have a British Standard
plug. In the event of an electrical overload the fuse
may blow. Please have the fuse replaced by the
manufacturer or qualified service personnel.
