Preparation
1 Clean kettle well before initial use and discard
the water of first two boiling cycles.
Operation
1 Push the lid release button D on the kettle to
open the lid C.
2 Fill the water tank G with water.
Notes
7 Do not place the water tank G on the base H
while filling it with water.
7 Never fill the water tank G above the maxi-
mum level indicator or below the minimum
level indicator.
3 Close the lid C until it clicks into place.
4 Place the water tank G on the base H. Make
sure that it is sitting in an upright and stable
position.
5 Insert the plug into the wall socket.
6 Select the desired temperature by pressing the
selection button K. As the button K is pushed
the temperature selection will cycle from 100
to 80, 60, 40 and back to 100 again.
– The temperature indicator light L will flash.
7 If desired, the simmer function can be acti-
vated by pressing button I.
– Indicator light of button I lights on.
Notes
7 When pressing the simmer function button I
in stand by mode without selecting the desired
temperature, the indicator light of button I will
go off after 10 seconds.
8 Push On/Off button J.
– Indicator light of On/Off button J lights on
and the boiling process begins.
– When the appliance is in operation, indica-
tor light of the set temperature will flash.
Meantime, current water temperature will
be indicated by the relevant temperature
indicator light until the set temperature is at-
tained.
Note
7 Lid C should always be closed during the boil-
ing process; otherwise the kettle will not switch
off automatically.
7 The desired temperature can be changed or set
during the boiling process by pressing tempera-
ture setting button K.
9 When the desired temperature is reached, the
indicator light of On/Off button J goes off
and the kettle stops operating.
– After 60 seconds the temperature indicator
lights L go off and the kettle returns into
stand by mode.
Notes
7 If you want to stop the boiling process manu-
ally, push the On/Off button J.
7 If the simmer function is activated, the kettle will
restart the boiling process when the tempera-
ture falls below the desired temperature. After
30 minutes, simmer function will be cancelled
automatically.
10 Disconnect the plug from the wall socket.
11 Take the water tank from the base H. Only
hold it by the handle E.
Caution
7 Do not open the lid C as hot water could
splash out. Make sure that no water splashes
onto the base H.
12 Pour the water from the spout A to the cup or
glass you want to use.
Note
7 Let the kettle cool down between each heating
process.
Hints and Tips
7 The kettle is equipped with a water filter B
which filters out limestone and other residues
when the water is being poured out.
7 Use softened or filtered water to prevent lime
build-up.
