. lnsert os indicoted two olkoline botteries, type MA, LR03 or UM4.
o Remove the botteries if exhousted or if they ore not to be used
ogoin for o long time.
Note on Environmenbl Prolection
Do not throw exhousted bofferies in the household
refuse.
Hond over the old botteries to your deoler or public
collecting points when buying new ones.
Radio reception
o Switch the rodio on with the OFF o ON conhol.
o Connect the eorphones to fl}.
. Adiust the volume with the VO[.>- control.
o Use the UBS (Urnn Bnss Svsrrm) switch to enhonce the boss
response.
. Select the wove ronge using the BAND selector .
o Tune to the desired rodio stoiion using the TUNING knob.
The eorphones leod will function os FM-oeriol.
For MW reception there is o built-in ferriie rod ontenno.
Rototing the unit slightly con improve reception.
. A disturbing noise, due to o weok FM stereo signol, con be
suppressed by setting BAND to FM.
o Switch the rodio off with the OFF . ON control.
Do not ploy your heodphones ot o high volume. Operotion ot
high voiume con endonger yourself ond others in troffic. You
should therefore olwoys odiust the volume so thot you con still
notice ombient noises (e.g. horns, rescue vehicles, police cors,
