SAFETY AND SET-UP ________________________
Please read this instruction man-
ual thoroughly prior to using this
appliance! Follow all safety in-
structions in order to avoid dam-
ages due to improper use!
Keep the instruction manual for
future reference. Should this ap-
pliance be given to a third party,
then this instruction manual must
also be handed over.
■ The appliance is designed for
domestic use only. Do not use
the appliance for anything oth-
er than its intended use, which
is the measurement of body
weight.
■ Do not use the appliance on a
carpet or rug.
■ Always use the appliance on
an even, hard floor. This ensures
constant measurements.
■ Do not use the appliance with
wet feet or when the bamboo
surface is damp or wet.
■ Always make sure that the appli-
ance does not tip over, as there
is a risk of injury.
■ Never use the appliance out-
doors.
■ Do not continue to use the appli-
ance if a malfunction occurs.
■ Do not continue to use the appli-
ance, if it is dropped or if there
are any cracks or chips on the
surface.
■ Do not place any objects on the
surface.
■ Never jump on or off the appli-
ance.
■ If the appliance is being used
in the bathroom, it should never
come into contact with water.
■ Do not immerse the appliance in
water or in other liquids; do not
hold it under running water.
■ Do not expose the appliance
to direct sunlight, high tempera-
tures or constantly high humidity.
■ Keep the appliance away from
children.
■ This appliance can be used
by children aged from 8 years
and above and persons with
reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities or lack of ex-
perience and knowledge if they
have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the
appliance in a safe way and un-
derstand the hazards involved.
Children shall not play with the

appliance. Cleaning and user
maintenance shall not be made
by children without supervision.
■ Never use the appliance if it is
visibly damaged.
■ Our GRUNDIG Household Ap-
pliances meet applicable safety
standards, thus if the appliance
is damaged, it must be repaired
or replaced by the dealer, a ser-
vice centre or a similarly quali-
fied and authorized person to
avoid any dangers. Faulty or
unqualified repair work may
cause danger and risks for the
user.
■ Do not dismantle the appliance
under any circumstances. No
warranty claims are accepted
for damages caused by improp-
er handling.
■ To clean the appliance, please
see details in the “Cleaning and
Care” section. Dry the appli-
ance after cleaning it.
■ Never operate or place this ap-
pliance on or near to hot surfac-
es such as gas burner, electric
burner or heated oven.
■ Never use the appliance in or
near to the places where com-
bustible or inflammable materi-
als exist.
■ Do not overload this appliance.
■ If this appliance functions im-
properly, try to reset it by remov-
ing the batteries for a short time
or replacing them.
■ Only use high quality batteries.
Low quality batteries could leak
and result in damages to the ap-
pliance.
■ Extreme conditions like hot and
highly humid environment or im-
proper use of this appliance may
cause the batteries to leak which
may cause personal injury. If the
batteries leak, remove them with
a cloth and dispose of them in
accordance with the applicable
laws. Prevent battery acid from
coming into contact with skin
and eyes. If battery acid comes
into contact with your eyes, flush
your eyes thoroughly with plenty
of water and consult a physi-
cian immediately. If battery acid
comes into contact with your
skin, wash the affected area with
plenty of water and soap.
■ Batteries are very dangerous if
swallowed. Please keep the bat-
teries and this appliance away
from children at all times. If a
battery is swallowed, seek medi-
cal attention immediately.

■ The batteries should never be
recharged or reactivated in any
way, nor should they be thrown
into a fire. Never allow the bat-
teries to come in contact with
water.
■ If you do not plan to use the
appliance for a long period of
time, then remove the batteries.
The appliance can get dam-
aged if they leak.
■ If your scale does not function
properly, replace all batteries.
■ Batteries should not be disposed
of together with the household
waste! Please dispose of expired
batteries in an environmentally
friendly way and according to
the applicable legal regulations.
■ Never use old and new batteries
or batteries of differing brands
simultaneously.
■ Before disposing of the appli-
ance, remove the batteries.
■ When inserting batteries pay
attention to the polarity as in-
dicated inside the battery com-
partment. Do not short-circuit the
batteries.
■ The scale switches off automati-
cally after 10 seconds once the
measurement is complete.
■ When voltage of battery is
down, the “Lo” low battery
warning will appear on the dis-
play. Replace the batteries with
the new ones.
Caution
■ The PS 4110 is a product for
your well-being. It is not a medi-
cal product. No medical recom-
mendations can be made on the
basis of its use or of the results
displayed.
■ Your product is designed with
complex algorithms. Due to
these algorithms, if an external
electromagnetic disturbance
happens near your device, it
may affect your readings. In
such cases, first remove the elec-
tromagnetic disturbance reason
and repeat your measurement.
Under extreme electromagnetic
disturbance, your device will
protect itself and enter into pro-
tection mode. To turn back to
normal running mode, remove
and replace the battery of the
product after removing the dis-
turbance.

OPERATION _______________________________
Preparation
Inserting / replacing the
batteries
This appliance runs on four 1.5V batteries (AAA/
UM4/R03). Always replace all of the batteries
at the same time.
1 Open the battery compartment lid E on the
bottom of the appliance by pressing and push-
ing down on the arrow and removing the bat-
tery compartment lid.
2 If necessary, remove the expired batteries first
and dispose of them in an environmentally
friendly way. Place four new 1.5V batteries
(AAA/UM4/R03) into the battery compart-
ment. Pay attention to the correct polarity as
indicated in the battery compartment.
3 Close the lid of the battery compartment.
Make sure that it clicks into place.
Notes
■ Do not expose the batteries to extreme heat,
caused for example by direct sunlight, heaters
or fire.
■ If the battery is running low, the warning »Lo«
appears on the LCD display B. Insert four new
batteries immediately.
■ Remove the batteries if they are flat or when
you plan not to use the appliance for a long
period of time. The manufacturer accepts no
liability for damages caused by leaking batter-
ies.
Environmental note
■ Batteries, including those which do not contain
heavy metal, should not be disposed with do-
mestic waste. Please dispose of old batteries in
accordance with the legal regulations which
apply in your area.
Determining the unit of weight
This appliance can display the weight in Imperial
(lb: pound, st: stone) and Metric (kg: kilogram)
units.
1 Set the desired unit of weight by continuously
pressing the button for changing between Met-
ric and Imperial units D.
Operation
1 Place the scales on a smooth flat surface.
2 Step carefully onto the surface A of the scales
and stand still for your weight measurement.
Notes:
■ Step onto the appliance gently with only the
left foot or the right foot, placing it on the sec-
tion of the surface. Make sure that your foot re-
mains at least 2 cm away from the edge. Then
place your other foot on and position it in the
same way on the other side of the surface.
■ Position your body weight in the middle of the
appliance.
■ Your scales includes a comfortable auto on
function. It turns on automatically when you
step on it and the measured body weight ap-
pears on the display within 2-3 seconds only.
3 Your body weight will be flashing on the LCD
display B.
– Wait until the indication of your weight stops
flashing.
4 After about 10 seconds the scales switches off
automatically.
Notes
■ The appliance has a self calibration facility.
After every energizing, it performs self calibra-
tion which may cause to measure your weight
inaccurately at your first 2 measurements.
■ If the batteries are low on charge, ”LO” ap-
pears on the LCD display B. Replace the bat-
teries with the new ones.

OPERATION _______________________________
■ The maximum load of the scales is180 kg. If
this is exceeded, “Err” appears on the LCD
display B. Step down from the scales imme-
diately.
■ If the LCD display shows a malfunction, reset
the scale. Remove the batteries, wait for 10
seconds and then insert them again.
■ The scales is equipped with an automatic off
function to preserve the battery. It switches off
automatically after 10 seconds once the mea-
surement is complete.

Cleaning and care
Warning
■ Make sure to follow the safety instructions
carefully during cleaning.
1 Wait until the appliance turns off automati-
cally.
2 Use a damp soft cloth to clean the exterior of
the appliance.
Caution
■ Never use cleaning agents, alcohol, acetone,
petrol, solvents or abrasive cleaners, metal ob-
jects, metal polish or hard brushes to clean the
appliance.
■ Never put the appliance in water or any other
liquid.
Note
■ Dry all parts carefully with a soft towel after
cleaning the appliance.
Storage
If you do not plan to use the appliance for a long
period of time, please store it carefully.
Make sure that the appliance is completely dry.
Store the appliance in a cool and dry place,
which is protected from moisture and direct sun-
light.
Make sure the appliance is kept out of the reach
of children.
Remove the batteries from the battery compart-
ment when you will not be using the appliance
for a long period of time.

the Waste Product:
This product complies with EU WEEE Directive
(2012/19/EU). This product bears a classification
symbol for waste electrical and electronic
equipment (WEEE).
This symbol indicates that this product
shall not be disposed with other
household wastes at the end of its
service life. Used device must be
returned to offical collection point for
recycling of electrical and electronic devices. To
find these collection systems please contact to
your local authorities or retailer where the product
was puchased. Each household performs
important role in recovering and recycling of old
appliance. Appropriate disposal of used
appliance helps prevent potential negative
consequences for the environment and human
health.
