Removing Kato Collar: Carefully detach the velcro from both sides of the collar from velcro on the shoulder
pad. It's important that you keep the velcro detached while removing the collar.
Next, compress one side of the collar toward the the opposite side to move the gap of collar away from shoulder pad,
just enough to clear the collar so it will release under the shoulder pad. One side is now released.
Double check to make sure the velcro on opposite side of collar is still detached, and then simply slide the rest of
collar out from underneath the shoulder pad.

Do your pads not have fabric for the velcro to attach to? We’ve included a packet for you to attach the collar to the
pads. Please follow the instructions below:
Slide the collar into place using the previous steps included on the opposite side of this paper. When the collar is in
place and in upright position, note where you need to attach the velcro. You may want to use a marker to place a
dot where you’ll want to position the velcro strip (included in packet). Please be sure that the collar is positioned so that
it is centered within the pads.
Once you’ve marked where to place the velcro, remove the collar from the shoulder pad.
Make sure that the surface area of the shoulder pad is clean and dry. We advise you use a cleaning product that
is approved to work with your shoulder pads to clean the area first.
Cut the velcro to your desired size, and then apply the glue to the back of the velcro. Be sure that the glue will
cover the entire surface of the velcro from the middle to the edge.
Position the velcro to the spot you marked on the shoulder pads. Note that the adhesive is very strong so it’s not
going to move after you place it on the shoulder pads: Be sure to measure twice to make sure it’s going where you
need it to!
Let the glue dry for 24 hours. After the glue dries, you’ll be able to place the collar into the pads as described on the
opposite side of this page.
