This battery pack is for use with the GDS-
122 oscilloscope.
The 7.4VDC/ 500mAh battery pack consists of an array of
Lithium ion battery cells.
The GDS-12
2 oscilloscope is designed to work with the
rechargeable battery pack. A fully charged pack will
provide three hours of battery life. Please read the
following notes before operation.

Recharge Battery
Properly Recharge the battery pack only from the oscilloscope at
the recommended temperature (0℃~50℃).
Do not operate
without covers: Do not operate this product with covers or panels
removed.

suspected failures If you suspect there is damage to this oscilloscope, have it
inspected by qualified service personal.
Do not operate in
wet/damp
conditions.

an explosive
atmosphere.

requirements for battery collection and disposal in your

recycling of the battery pack.

To avoid potential hazards, use this product only as specified.
Note Replacement of the battery is an easy procedure that can
be performed with basic equipment. Please note that the
serial number on the face of the old battery must be
transferred to the new battery to retain warranty and
service records. The serial number location is shown
below.

• Hobby knife x 1
• Super glue (or any plastic bonding epoxy)
1. Remove the protective
rubber casing.
2. Remove three retaining
screws on the rear.

. Take out the hinge
assembly and rear stand.
4. Remove the four screws
under the rear stand.

5. Take the battery off.
Remove the battery lead
from its socket.
6. The battery is ready for
replacement.
7. Use a hobby knife to peel
the plastic sticker from the
original battery.
8. Transfer the sticker to the
new battery. Use super
glue sparingly if
necessary to affix the
sticker in place.
9. Install the new battery
using the reverse
procedure of the removal
of the old battery.

To avoid potential hazards, use this product only as specified.
Note The Battery Pack needs to be fully charged for first-time
use. The battery pack begins to charge as soon as the
oscilloscope is connected to external AC power source. It
takes FOUR hours to fully charge the battery when
oscilloscope is turned OFF.
The battery pack stops charging under the following
conditions:
• The battery pack is fully charged.
• The battery pack temperature exceeds the operation
temperature specification in the below table.
