IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Carefully read this manual before using this appliance.
Ensure that you know how the appliance functions and how to operate it.
Maintain the appliance in accordance with the instructions to ensure that it functions
properly.
Keep this manual with the appliance. If the appliance is to be used by a third party, this
instruction manual must be supplied with it.
The safety instructions do not by themselves eliminate any danger completely and
proper accident prevention measures must always be used.
No liability can be accepted for any damage caused by non-compliance with these
instructions or any other improper use or mishandling.
Do not use this appliance if it has been dropped or damaged in any way, or if the supply
cord is damaged.
IMPORTANT SAVEGUARDS
When using your Raclette, basic safety precautions should always be followed:
1. Read all instructions.
2. Use only the raclette for its intended use.
3. To protect against a risk of electric shock, do not immerse the raclette in water
or any other liquids.
4. Never yank cord to disconnect from outlet; instead, grasp plug and pull to
disconnect.
5. Do not allow cord to touch hot surface. Let the raclette cool completely before
cleaning.
6. Do not operate the raclette with a damaged cord or if the raclette has been
dropped or damaged. To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not disassemble the
raclette, take it to a qualified serviceman for examination agency for repair. Incorrect
reassemble can cause a risk of electric shock when the raclette is used.
7. Close supervision is necessary for any appliance being used by or near
children. Do not leave raclette unattended while connected.
8. To avoid a circuit overload, do not operate another high voltage appliance on
the same circuit.
9. If an extension cord is absolutely necessary, a 10‐ampere cord should be
used. Cords rated for less amperage may overheat. Care should be taken to arrange
the cord so that it cannot be pulled or tripped over.
10. All repair work should be carried out by an approved service center.
11. The heating element has been slightly greased and as a result the raclette
might slightly smoke when switched on for the first time. After a short while, this will
cease. Let the raclette work for 10 minutes before first used, this will remove the
smell and smoke.
12. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and
persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience
and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of
the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
13. Children shall not play with the appliance.
