Installation aCcessories
Wear an ESD wrist strap, and make sure the wrist strap makes good skin contact and is reliably grounded.
操作者需佩戴防静电腕带，确保防静电腕带与皮肤良好接触，并确认防静电腕带已经良好接地。
No installation tools are provided with the switch. Prepare them yourself as required.

Attaching the accessories to the switch
If the rack depth is in the range of 692 to 853 mm (27.24 to 33.58 in), use the short chassis rails and
long slide rails provided with the switch for installation. For device stability, make sure the slide rails
reach a minimum of 20 mm (0.79 in) out of chassis rails.
如果机柜前后方孔条间距在692～853mm范围内，请使用标配的长滑道短导轨配合安装。为保证设备安
装后的稳定性，当滑道与滑道导轨安装完成后，请确保滑道的头部露出滑道导轨的最小长度为20mm。

The device uses M5 grounding screws. You can use a grounding cable with a single-hole or dual-hole
grounding lug to ground the device. If the grounding cable or grounding lug you receive does not meet
the requirement, you can make a grounding cable on site or contact H3C Technical Support.
设备侧接地点支持单孔端子和双孔端子的接地电缆安装，接地螺钉为M5螺钉。如果您收到设备的接地
电缆长度或者端子类型不满足要求，可以现场制作合适的线缆解决或者联系H3C技术支持解决。

The device provides multiple installation positions for chassis rails on two sides. Determine the
installation position for the chassis rails based on the rack depth. 设备侧面板提供了多个滑道导轨安
装位，用户可根据机柜的深度，调整滑道导轨的安装位置。

Connect the grounding cable to a grounding point before installing the switch in the rack.
为了防止机箱安装到机柜后无法安装接地线，请先将接地线安装到交换机侧面的接地点上。
The switch provides a grounding sign at the primary grounding point but not at the auxiliary
grounding point.
交换机主接地点标有接地标识，备用接地点上无接地标识。
The grounding screws provided with the switch are applicable to both the primary and auxiliary
grounding points.
交换机随机附带的接地螺钉同时适用于主接地点和备用接地点。

Install the chassis rails at c or d. The chassis rails can be installed reaching out of the chassis or not

The installation procedure is the same for using long and short chassis rails. The following procedure
uses the short chassis rails as an example.
采用长滑道短导轨安装交换机到机柜与采用短滑道长导轨安装交换机到机柜的方式相同，本文以采用
长滑道短导轨安装交换机到机柜为例。

If the rack depth is in the range of 401 to 692 mm (15.79 to 27.24 in), purchase long chassis rails and
short slide rails Yourself for installation. You need to install the long chassis rails as follows based on
the rack depth:
如果机柜前后方孔条间距在401～692mm范围内，请使用选配的短滑道长导轨配合安装。因短滑道配
套的长导轨有正装（导轨不会超出设备）和反装（导轨会超出设备）之分，用户可以根据机柜方孔条
之间的距离灵活选择安装方式。
Not reaching out of the chassis for a rack with the depth in the range of 401 to 498 mm
(15.79 to 19.61 in).
当机柜前后方孔条间距在401～498mm范围内，请使用长导轨正装方式安装。
Not reaching out or reaching out of the chassis for a rack with a depth in the range of 499 To
565 mm (19.66 to 22.24 in).
当机柜前后方孔条间距在499～565mm范围内，长导轨正装和反装都可以。
Reaching out of the chassis for a rack with the depth in the range of 566 to 692 mm
(22.28 to 27.24 in).
当机柜前后方孔条间距在566～692mm范围内，请使用长导轨反装方式安装。
For device stability, make sure the slide rails slide a minimum length of 90 mm (3.54) into the chassis
rails when rack-mounting the switch.
为保证设备安装后的稳定性，当滑道与滑道导轨安装完成后，请确保滑道的头部进入滑道导轨的最小
深度为90mm。
The device uses M5 grounding screws. You can use a grounding cable with a single-hole or dual-hole
grounding lug to ground the device. If the grounding cable or grounding lug you receive does not meet
the requirement, you can make a grounding cable on site or contact H3C Technical Support.
设备侧接地点支持单孔端子和双孔端子的接地电缆安装，接地螺钉为M5螺钉。如果您收到设备的接地电

Mount the switch in the rack (port side at the front)
The switch has a front-rear air aisle. It can provide airflow from the power module side to the port
side, or from the port side to the power module side, depending on the fan trays installed.
交换机采用前后风道设计，通过配置不同的风扇模块，可提供“电源侧到端口侧”和“端口侧到电源
侧”两种通风走向，满足不同环境下的散热要求。

The LSWM1FANSA/LSWM1FANSA-SN fan tray provides power module-side intake and port-side
exhaust airflow, and its handle is blue. The LSWM1FANSAB/LSWM1FANSAB-SN fan tray provides
port-side intake and power module-side exhaust airflow, and its handle is red.
LSWM1FANSA/LSWM1FANSA-SN为吹风风扇，风向为电源侧进风，端口侧出风，
风扇把手为蓝色；LSWM1FANSAB/LSWM1FANSAB-SN为抽风风扇，风向为端口侧进风，
电源侧出风，风扇把手为红色。
Before installing a fan tray, make sure the airflow direction marked on the fan tray meets the
ventilation requirement of the installation site.
安装风扇模块前，请根据风扇模块的风向指示，确认气流方向和安装环境的通风要求一致。
Make sure the "TOP" mark stays on top when you install the fan tray.
安装风扇模块时，请确保“TOP”丝印朝上。
The switch comes with the five fan tray slots empty. You must install five fan trays of the same model
for the switch.
交换机出厂时5个风扇插槽均为空，用户需安装5个相同型号的风扇模块。
Make sure each slot has a module or a filler panel installed while the switch is operating.
交换机运行过程中，必须确保所有可插拔模块插槽不能为空，请务必安装相应的模块或假面板。
Do not remove multiple fan trays simultaneously. You can remove another fan tray only after you
finish replacing one fan tray. Make sure you finish replacing a fan tray within 3 minutes.
更换风扇模块过程中禁止同时拔出多个风扇模块，应按照拔出一个立即更换一个的方式进行，且
单个风扇模块的更换时间不要超过3分钟。

If you are not to install a power module in a power module slot, install a filler panel in the slot. The
filler panel prevents dust from entering the chassis and ensures good ventilation.
若电源模块插槽没有安装电源模块，请及时安装假面板，防止灰尘进入交换机，同时又保证设备的良
好通风散热。

Before connecting a power cord, connect the grounding cable to the switch and make sure the
switch is reliably grounded.
在连接电源线前，需先连接保护地线，保证交换机正确接地。
To avoid bodily injury, connect a power cord to the switch first and then to the power source.
连接电源线时，请先完成电源线与交换机侧的连接，再进行电源线与供电系统的连接，以免造成人
身伤害。

Use a removable cable tie to secure the power cord. The method for securing AC and DC power
cords are the same. The figure uses an AC power cord as an example.
使用可拆卸式扎带固定电源线，以防止电源线脱落。直流电源线和交流电源线的固定方式相同，此处
以交流电源线为例介绍电源线的固定过程。
