The installation and removal procedures are the same for the S6860-54HF and the S6860-54HT
switches. This guide uses the S6860-54HF as an example unless otherwise stated.
不同款型交换机安装方式相似，如无特殊说明，安装方式以S6860-54HF为例进行示意。
Wear an ESD wrist strap, and make sure the strap makes good skin contact and is reliably grounded.
操作者需佩戴防静电腕带，确保防静电腕带与皮肤良好接触，并确认防静电腕带已经良好接地。

Install the mounting brackets near the port side or power module side of the switch as needed. Attach
the chassis rails to the switch based on the mounting bracket installation position and rack depth.
用户可以根据安装场景的需要，将挂耳安装在设备靠近端口侧或靠近电源侧，并根据机柜深度，在交
换机侧面板的对应位置安装滑道导轨。
For the S6860-54HF, rack-mount rail kit A is applicable to a rack with a depth (distance between the
front and rear rack posts) in the range of 621 to 793 mm (24.45 to 31.22 in).
The chassis rail of rack-mount rail kit B can be installed through narrow-spacing installation or
wide-spacing installation, which is applicable to a rack with a depth in the range of 330 to 505 mm
(12.99 to 19.88 in) or 438 to 632 mm (17.24 to 24.88 in), respectively.
For the S6860-54HT, rack-mount rail kit A and rack-mount rail kit C are applicable to a rack with a
depth in the range of 621 to 854 mm (24.45 to 33.62 in) and 401 to 634 mm (15.79 to 24.96 in),
respectively.
对于S6860-54HF机型， 挂耳与长滑道和导轨配合安装适用于机柜前后方孔条间距范围为621～
793mm。挂耳与超短滑道和导轨配合安装到机柜时，滑道导轨有正向安装和反向安装两种方式：导轨
正向安装适用于机柜前后方孔条间距范围为330～505mm；导轨反向安装适用于机柜前后方孔条间距
范围为438～632mm。
对于S6860-54HT机型， 挂耳与长滑道和导轨配合安装适用于机柜前后方孔条间距范围为621～
854mm。 挂耳与滑道和导轨配合安装适用于机柜前后方孔条间距范围为401～634mm。

Attaching the mounting brackets and chassis rails of rack-mount rail kit A to the switch
To use rack-mount rail kit A or C for rack-mounting the switch, make sure the front ends of the long
slide rails or slide rails reach out of the chassis rails. To use rack-mount rail kit B for rack-mounting
the switch, make sure the super-short slide rails slide a minimum length of 90 mm (3.54 in) into the
chassis rails.
为保证设备安装后的稳定性，使用长滑道或滑道和配套的导轨安装完成后，请确保长滑道或滑道的头
部露出导轨。使用超短滑道和配套的导轨安装完成后，请确保超短滑道头部进入导轨的最小深度为
90mm。

uses rack-mount slide rail kit A as an example.

交换机S6860-54HF安装到机柜为例进行说明。
Before installing cage nuts, mark their installation positions on the rack posts.
安装浮动螺母前，建议用户先使用记号笔在机柜立柱上标注浮动螺母安装位置。

The switch provides a grounding sign at the primary grounding point but not at the auxiliary
grounding point.交换机主接地点标有接地标识，备用接地点上无接地标识。
The two grounding screws at the primary grounding point are also applicable to the auxiliary
grounding point.交换机主接地点上的两个接地螺钉同样适用于备用接地点。

The chassis rails of rack-mount rail kit B can be installed through narrow-spacing installation or wide-
spacing installation, whether the mounting brackets are installed near the power module side or port side.
无论挂耳安装到靠近电源侧还是靠近端口侧，超短滑道配套的导轨均支持正向安装和反向安装两种方
式，用户可以根据机柜方孔条之间的距离灵活选择安装方式。
Attaching the mounting brackets and chassis rails of rack-mount rail kit B to the switch
(applicable only to the S6860-54HF)
S6860-54HF
The device uses M5 grounding screws. You can use a grounding cable with a single-hole or dual-
hole grounding lug to ground the device. If the grounding cable or grounding lug you receive does
not meet the requirement, you can make a grounding cable on site or contact H3C technical support.
设备侧接地点支持单孔端子和双孔端子的接地电缆安装，接地螺钉为M5螺钉。如果您收到设备的接地
电缆长度或者端子类型不满足要求，可以现场制作合适的线缆解决或者联系H3C技术支持解决。
Connect the grounding cable to the grounding point on the chassis side before installing the switch in
the rack.
为了防止机箱安装到机柜后无法安装接地线，因此请先将接地线安装到交换机的侧面接地点上。
Use the auxiliary grounding point at the port

Installing and removing a fan tray /
!Follow these guidelines when you install or remove a fan tray:
在安装/拆卸风扇模块时，请注意如下事项：
Make sure the airflow direction of the fan tray is as required by the installation site.
请确认风扇模块气流方向和安装环境的通风要求一致。
The switch comes with the fan tray slots empty. Before powering on the switch, install a fan tray in
each fan tray slot and make sure the installed fan trays are the same model.
交换机出厂时风扇插槽均为空，为保证设备的正常散热，用户必须满配相同型号的风扇模块，
否则禁止交换机上电运行。
If more than one fan tray fails during switch operation, do not remove these fan trays simultaneously.
Replace one fan tray at a time and the replacement of each fan tray cannot take more than three
minutes.
在交换机运行过程中，如果有多个风扇模块出现故障，在更换风扇模块过程中禁止同时拔出多个风
扇模块，应按照拔出一个立即更换一个的方式进行，且单个风扇模块的更换时间不能超过3分钟。

Airflow direction of the switch
Make sure the air inlet and outlet vents are not blocked and the installation site has a good
ventilation system.
请确保交换机的进、出风孔不被遮挡，并将交换机安装在具有良好通风散热系统的环境中。
Y ou can provide airflow for the switch from the port side to the power module side or from the
power module side to the port side by installing different fan trays.
通过配置不同的风扇模块，可提供“端口侧到电源侧”和“电源侧到端口侧”两种气流方向，满足
不同环境下的散热要求。
The LSPM1FANSA blow air from the power module side to the port side. The LSPM1FANSB draw
air from the port side to the power module side.LSPM1FANSA为吹风风扇，风向为电源侧进风，端
口侧出风；LSPM1FANSB为抽风风扇，风向为端口侧进风，电源侧出风。

To remove a DC power cord, you must first use a
screwdriver to loosen the captive screws on the
power cord connector.For a PSR450-12D power
module, use a flat-head screwdriver to loosen the
screws on the connector, and then remove the
power cord connector from the power module.
需要注意的是，在拆除PSR450-12D电源模块时，
要先拆除直流电源插头。PSR450-12D电源模块需
要先使用一字螺丝刀逆时针拧下直流电源线插头两
侧自带的螺钉，然后将插头向外拔出。

Install a filler panel in the empty power module slot to prevent dust from entering the chassis and
ensure good ventilation.
若电源模块插槽没有安装电源模块，请及时安装假面板，防止灰尘进入交换机，同时又保证设备的良好
通风散热。
For a PSR450-12AHD power module, release the jaw
of the cable clamp and open the cable clamp, and
then remove the power cord connector from the power
module.
PSR450-12AHD电源模块需要先解开防脱线扣上的卡
扣，然后松开电源线缆上的防脱线扣，最后向外拔出电
源线插头。

Connecting the power cord
Before connecting the power cord, connect the grounding cable and make sure the switch is reliably
Grounded.
在连接电源线前，需先连接保护地线，保证交换机正确接地。
Connect the power cord to the switch first and then to the power source to avoid bodily injury.
连接电源线时，请先完成电源线与交换机侧的连接，再进行电源线与供电系统的连接，以免造成人
身伤害。
To prevent the power cord from falling off, use a cable tie to secure the power cord.
使用可拆卸式扎带固定电源线，以防止电源线脱落。

Method 3 方式三
Connect power cord
For a PSR450-12AHD power module, slide the cable clamp onto the tie mount, connect the female
connector of the power cord to the power receptacle on the power module, and then close the cable
clamp and slide it forward until it is flush against the edge of the female connector.
连接PSR450-12AHD电源模块的电源线时，先将防脱线扣扣到电源模块自带的固定带上；再将电源线带插
孔的一端插到电源模块的输入插口上；最后使用防脱线扣扣紧电源插头，以防止电源线插头松动。
For a PSR450-12D power module, use a flat-head screwdriver to loosen the screws on the protection
cover over the power receptacle and then remove the cover. Connect the female connector of the power
cord to the power receptacle on the power module, and then fasten the screws on the connector.
连接PSR450-12D电源模块的电源线时，先用一字螺丝刀逆时针旋松直流电源连接器保护盖两侧的固定螺
钉，并取下连接器的保护盖，再将电源线插头插入到电源模块的直流输入插口上，用一字螺丝刀顺时针方向
拧紧直流电源线插头两侧自带的螺钉，使电源线插头固定在电源模块直流输入插口上。
To prevent the power cord from being accidentally pulled out, use a removable cable tie to secure
the power cord. The method for securing a power cord is the same for power modules. The following
figure secures a power cord to a PSR250-12A.
使用可拆卸式扎带固定电源线，以防止电源线脱落。各款电源模块固定电源线方法相同，此处以
PSR250-12A电源模块固定电源线为例示意。
