Winding the wristwatch
Wind your Hanhart wristwatch by hand before
wearing it for the first time or after the
movement has not run for a long period.
The crown is now in position “I”.Rotatethe
crownthroughapproximately40revolutionsin
a clockwise direction to wind the watch fully.
The watch is protected against overwinding.
Please stop winding when you feel resistance.
The movement of your Hanhart watch is wound
automatically by the movements of your wrist.
Your Hanhart watch has a power reserve of at
least38hours.WhenyoutakeoffyourHanhart
watch (e.g. overnight) you do not have to
rewind it every time.

Setting the time
1.Setthecrowninposition“II”. The movement
is stopped with the crown in this position.
Tosynchronizeyourwatchwithanaccurate
time source (e.g. a radio-controlled clock)
stop the watch when the seconds hand is
at “60”.
2.Setthewatchtothedesiredtimeofday
by rotating the hands in an anticlockwise
direction.
3.Torestartthemovement,pushthecrown
back into position “I”.
Donotforgettopushbackthecrowninto
position “I” again once you have completed
the adjustments. The water resistance of your
watch can only be guaranteed when the crown
is at this position.
Maintenance and servicing
of your Hanhart wristwatch
With your Hanhart wristwatch from the
Pioneer collection, you have acquired a first
class precision timepiece.
To ensure that you have lasting enjoyment
from your watch, we recommend that every
veyearsyoutakeyourwatchtoanauthorized
Hanhart retailer for a careful service.
If necessary, he will send it to our Hanhart
customer service centre.
If your Hanhart watch has a leather strap, we
advise you not to wear it in water. However,
if the leather strap does happen to come into
contact with sea water or chlorinated water,
you should rinse it thoroughly under a running
tap and leave it to dry naturally (not using
a heater!). By the way: Your leather strap is
made from top-quality calfskin, and darkening
is a normal reaction in a natural product.
