Winding the chronograph
Wind your Hanhart chronograph by hand
before wearing it for the first time or after the
movement has not run for a long period.
1. Firstreleasethescrew-incrownbyrotating
the crown in an anticlockwise direction.
The crown is now in position “II”.
2. Rotatethecrownthroughapproximately
40revolutionsinaclockwisedirectionto
wind the watch fully. The watch is protected
against overwinding. Please stop winding
when you feel resistance.
The movement of your Hanhart chronograph is
wound automatically by the movements of your
wrist. Your Hanhart chronograph has a power
reserveofatleast42hours.Whenyoutakeoff
your Hanhart chronograph (e.g. overnight) you
do not have to rewind it every time.
Setting the time and the date
1. Setthecrowninposition“III”.Rotatethe
crown in the clockwise direction until the
date display indicates one day before the
currentdate.Warning:Donotadjustthe
datebetween8p.m.and2a.m.Thiscould
result in damage to the movement.
2. Setthecrowntoposition“IIII”.Rotatethe
hands in the anticlockwise direction until
the date jumps ahead of the current day
(midnight).Setthewatchtothedesired
time of day by continuing to rotate the
hands in an anticlockwise direction.
3. The movement is stopped with the crown
in position “IIII”.Tosynchronizeyour
chronograph with an accurate time source
(e.g. a radio-controlled clock), stop the
watch when the seconds hand is at “60”.
You can now set the watch to the accurate
time. To restart the movement, push the
crown back into position “I”. Apply gentle
pressure to the crown in the direction of the
case, rotating it in a clockwise direction at
the same time.

Wind your Hanhart chronograph by hand

button “B” is used to reset the chronograph
after a measurement.
You start a time recording by pressing the
button “A”. You stop the time recording by
pressing the button “A” a second time. The
centre seconds hand and the chronograph
minutes counter display (at 3 o’clock) are used
to read the stopped time. Press the button “B”
toresetthehandstozero.
Donotforgettoscrewinthecrownagainonce
you have completed all the adjustments.
The water resistance of your chronograph can
only be guaranteed when the crown is screwed
in.

Using the unidirectional rotating bezel
(Primus Diver)
TheunidirectionalrotatingbezelonyourPrimus
Diver,withitsprecisionratchet,isforthemeas-
urementofdivetime.Forsafety,thebezelcan
only turn counter-clockwise. If it is accidentally
moved, it will indicate a longer elapsed dive
time.Atthestartofadive,turnthebezelsothat
thezeromarkisinfrontoftheminutehand(V1).
The minute hand will always show the number
of minutes that have elapsed since the dive
started(V2).
30 minutes have elapsed since the
start of the dive.
Important point
ThePrimusDiverisnotadiver’swatchfor
scuba diving. You should not wear the Primus
Diverforscubadivingunlessyouuseaprofes-
sional diving computer at the same time.

chronograph
With your Hanhart chronograph from the
Primus collection, you have acquired a first
class precision timepiece.
To ensure that you have lasting enjoyment from
your chronograph, we recommend that every
veyearsyoutakeyourwatchtoanauthorized
Hanhart retailer for a careful service. If
necessary, he will send it to our Hanhart
customer service centre.
If your Hanhart chronograph has a leather
strap, we advise you not to wear it in water.
However, if the leather strap does happen
to come into contact with sea water or
chlorinated water, you should rinse it
thoroughly under a running tap and leave it to
dry naturally (not using a heater!). By the way:
Your leather strap is made from top-quality
calfskin, and darkening is a normal reaction in
a natural product.
We generally recommend that you wash
your chronograph thoroughly under running
tap water after contact with sea water or
chlorinated water.
International guarantee conditions
With your Hanhart chronograph, you have
acquired an outstanding example of the
watchmaker’s art: If any faults arise, in spite of
our rigorous inspections and quality standards,
weprovideyouwitha2-yearguaranteeagainst
material and manufacturing defects.
The following are not covered by the guarantee:
• Damageto/wearoutofleatheror
rubber straps
• Damagetosapphireglasses
• Damagecausedbydeliberatedestruction,
violence
• Damagecausedbyrepairsundertakenby
retailer, customer service centres or watch-
makersnotauthorizedbyHanhart
