CONNECTING THE UNIT TO POWER
AC OPERATION
Plug one end of the AC adaptor into the DC power Input, and then plug the other end into AC wall outlet.
Before switching on the unit, make sure that the voltage of your electricity supply is the same as that
indicated on the rating plate.
Attention:
1. Do not plug or unplug the power cable while you have wet hands.
2. When planning not to use this unit for a long time, disconnect the power cable from the wall outlet.
3. When disconnecting the power cord from the wall outlet, do not pull on the cord in order to avoid shock
risks caused by damaged cable.
BATTERY OPERATION
Disconnect the AC cord set completely. Open the battery compartment door and insert 4 pieces UM-2 "C"
size batteries into the battery compartment with battery polarity as shown inside the battery compartment.

DIMMER (Control the brightness of the display)
1, Press and hold FOLDER DN /DIM. Button. The Display will show “H 1” (Default setting)
2. Press FOLDER DN /DIM. Button to select the desired display brightness. The brightness level:
H1 >d6 >d5 >d4 >d3 >d2 >d1 >OFF
SETTING THE CLOCK
1. You can only perform the Clock setting when the unit is OFF.
(To ensure the unit is OFF, press and hold the / FUNC button for about 1 second. The display will show
“OFF” and then the time)
2. Press and hold / TIME SET button. The HOUR digit will begin to flash on the display.
3. Press the

/ DN or

/ UP button to adjust the hour.
4. When the hour is selected, press the / TIME SET button again, the MINUTE digit will begin to flash
on the display.
5. Press the

/ DN or

/ UP button to adjust the minute. When the minute is selected, press the /
TIME SET button again.
SETTING THE ALARMS
1. You can only perform the Alarm setting when the unit is OFF mode. Press and hold the AL ON/OFF
button. The ALARM time will begin to show on the display with hour digit flashing.
2. Press

/ DN or

/ UP button to adjust the alarm hour.
3. When the desired alarm hour is selected, press the AL ON/OFF button to confirm. The alarm minute
digit will flash.
4. Press the

/ DN or

/ UP button to select the alarm minute.
5. When the desired alarm minute is selected, press the AL ON/OFF button to confirm.
6. Press the

/ DN or

/ UP button to select the alarm wake up source. :
BU: BUZZER
RADIO FREQUENCY: FM RADIO
USb: USB MP3 Playback
7. When the desired alarm alarm wake up source is selected, press the AL ON/OFF button to confirm.
Note : If you choose Radio as the alarm wake up source, when alarm activates, it will go to the last FM
radio station that you listened.
If you choose USB as the alarm wake up source, when alarm activates, it will play the music files in the
USB stick. (It will switch to buzzer alarm if USB device is not inserted or cannot be read)
SNOOZE FUNCTION
1. Whenever the alarm activates, it can be temporarily suspended for a short period of 9 minutes by
pressing the REPEAT/MEM/SNOOZE button or M+/ ■ / SNOOZE button once. The Alarm indicator will
keep flashing.
2. The alarm will then automatically activate again after the 9 minutes SNOOZE period has ended.
3. This procedure can be repeated for up to approximately one hour.
TURN OFF THE ALARM
When the Alarm activate, press the AL ON/OFF button to turn off the Alarm.
TO CANCEL THE ALARM SETTING
Press the AL ON/OFF button repeatedly to cancel the alarm setting. The alarm indicator will go off

TURN ON THE UNIT
Press the / FUNC button to turn on the unit. There will be 4 modes: (Bluetooth, USB , Aux-in, FM
radio)
BLUETOOTH OPERATION
1. Press the / FUNC button to select Bluetooth mode, ‘ bt ‘ will show in the LCD display and flashing..
2. Turn on the Bluetooth of your Bluetooth device and search the unit for connection. Your Bluetooth
device should find “HX-508R HANNLOMAX” (If password is needed for connection, please enter
“0000”.)
3. When the connection is successful, ’ bt ‘ on the display will stop flashing.
4. Select and play the audio file though your Bluetooth device.
5. During playing, press the /TIME SET button to temporarily pause playing. To resume, press the
/ TIME SET button again.
6. Press the

/UP button.to go to the next track.
7. Press the

/DN button to go back to the previous track.
8. Press the VOLUME+ or VOLUME − button to select playback volume, you can also adjust the volume
on your Bluetooth device to the desire listening volume
9. To turn off the bluetooth function, press and hold the / FUNC button.
AUTO PAIRING
Once the unit paired with the Bluetooth device, it will automatically pair with that device next time when you
turn on the unit and that Bluetooth device.
UNPAIRING
Press and hold / TIME SET button to disconnect the current Bluetooth pairing. The display will show
“bt” and flash. It will search for a new pairing.
PLAYING MP3 FILES WITH USB DEVICE
1. Press / FUNC button to select USB mode.
2. Plug your USB device into the USB port on the unit, the unit will start reading the files in the USB device,
it will start playing the first track on the entire device after reading.
3. During playing, press the /TIME SET button to pause playing. To resume, press the / TIME SET
button again.
4. Press the M+/ ■ / SNOOZE button to stop playing.
Skip Mode
1. During play or pause mode, press the

/UP button to go to the next track.
2. While playing, press the

/DN button twice will go to the previous track.
3. If your MP3 has folders, press the FOLDER UP/SLEEP button to go to the next folder or FOLDER DN/
DIM button to go back to the previous folder
Different Play Mode
During playing, press the REPEAT/MEM/SNOOZE button to select different kinds of play mode with the
following sequence. ( Repeat One
Repeat Folder Repeat All Normal )
Repeat 1 – repeat the track being played. (Display will show )
Repeat Folder – repeat the tracks in the entire album/folder ( Dislpay will show FOLDER)
Repeat All – repeat all the tracks in the storage device. ( Display will show )
Normal – play the tracks in sequence.

AUX-IN CONNECTION
1. Press the FUNC button to select AUX mode, ‘ AUH ’ will show on the LCD display.
2. Insert one side of the audio cable (requires 3.5mm stereo plug, not supplied) into the line-out jack or
phones jack on your MP3 player or audio device and the other side to the AUX-IN jack on the unit.
3. Turn on your audio MP3 player or audio device and follow its playback instructions.
4. To turn off the Aux-in function, press and hold the / FUNC button.
RADIO OPERATION
1. Press the / FUNC button to select FM radio mode.
2. Digital Tuning :Press the

/ DN or

/ UP button for approx. 1 second, it will start to search the next
radio station in the direction of the search. The search operation simply finds stations with strong
signals. Stations with weak reception can only be tuned in manually.
3. Manual Tuning: Press the

/ DN or

/ UP button to skip the radio frequency step by step.
4. Press the VOLUME+ or VOLUME − button to adjust the desired VOLUME.
5. To turn off the radio, press and hold the / FUNC button.
ANTENNA
For best reception, fully extend the FM Antenna to receive FM stations.
SAVING A RADIO STATION TO THE MEMORY
1. Tune the radio to the desired station.
2. Press the REPEAT/MEM/SNOOZE button to store this radio station in the next memory station number.
The display will show PXX (XX is the memory station number from 01 to 10) and flash.
3. Press the

/ DN or

/ UP button to select the desired memory station number.
4. Press the REPEAT/MEM/SNOOZE button to confirm, the radio station will stored in the memory.
5. Up to 10 FM radio stations can be stored in the memory.
TO LISTEN TO A SAVED RADIO STATION
Press the M+/ ■ / SNOOZE button to select the stored stations in the memory.
SLEEP TO MUSIC FUNCTION
1. This function allows you to listen to the radio while you fall asleep.
2. Press and hold the FOLDER UP / SLEEP button, the display will show the default sleep time of 90
minutes.
3. Press the FOLDER UP / SLEEP button repeatedly to set the desired sleep time.
(The options are : 90-80-70-60-50-40-30-20-10 min. or OFF)
4. After the pre-set time has elapsed, the radio/USB/Bluetooth/Aux-in mode will turn off automatically.
