3.3
Roadworthiness
When driving on public roadsand other areaswhere thehighway codeapplies, or areaswith special rules and regulations
for marking and lightson implements, you should observethese and equip implementsaccordingly.
ATTENTION! Max. driving speed is 25 mph (40km/h). Beaware that this may differ duetolocal law. Contact local
authorities for information of max. driving speeds!
Sprayeruse
TheHARDI® sprayer is for theapplication of crop protection chemicalsand liquid fertilizers. Theequipment must only be
used for this purpose. It is not allowabletouse thesprayer for other purposes. If no local law demandsthat theoperator
must becertified touse spray equipment, it is strongly recommended tobetrained in correct plant protection and in safe
handling of plant protection chemicalstoavoid unnecessary risk for persons and theenvironment when doing yourspray
job.
Frame
Very strong and compact framewhich also hasa strong chemical and weather resistant electrostatic powder coat. Screws,
nuts, etc. havebeen DELTA-MAGNI treated toberesistant tocorrosion.
Tank
Themain tank madeof impact-proof, UV-resistant and chemical resistant polyethylene, hasa purposeful designwith no
sharp corners for easy cleaning. Nominal contents800 gal (3000 model), 1000 gal (3500 model) or 1200 gal (4000 model). A
large, easy toread tank contentsindicator is placed besidetheplatform and is visiblefrom thetractor cabin. Thefilling hole
is placed so it canbeaccessed from theplatform. This ensures aneasy access for thefilling, cleaning of thetank, etc. The
sprayer canalso beequipped with a flush tank and a cleanwater tank.

3.4
Liquid system
General info- valve system
All functions of thespray circuitsare operated via thecentrally situated valvesystem with color coded pictorial symbolsfor
easy operation.
Pump
Diaphragm pump with easily accessiblevalves and diaphragms. Model 1303 with 3diaphragms, 540r.p.m. (6splines). Model
363 or 463 with 6diaphragms. Standard = 540r.p.m. (6splines). Optional = 1000 r.p.m. (20 or 21 splines).
Valvesand symbols
Thevalves at thevalvesystem are distinguished by colored identification discson thefunction labels. Symbols
corresponding toevery possiblefunction of use are located on thediscsfor easy identification and operation. A function is
activated by turning thehandletowardsthedesired function.
ATTENTION! If a valveis too tight tooperate- or toloose (= liquid leakage) - thevalveneedstobeserviced. Please see
thesection ‘Maintenance’ for further information.
Suction valve = Blue symbols
This valveis toselect suction from main tank or from theflush tank. The
handleis turned so thelabel for required function is directed tothe
indicator. If handleis turned tovertical position (indicator not pointing
at a label) then thevalveis closed.
Pressure valve = Greensymbols
Theactivefunction is indicated by theindicator.
